I get no side effects from pain meds but I also don;t want to get addicted to them. I Have a addictive personality (Cigaretes, booze, etc. I Don't need anything else to get addicted to so I refuse. Pain is a state of mind. I can deal with pain all day long no problem.

Man, I don't know how you do it. I know that you have neuropathy like I do, and mine makes me feet feel like the Incredible Hulk has wrapped his hands around my toes, and is squeezing as hard as he can. I know you have similar pain, from talking to you. My back is in constant pain, but I have almost reached the point where I wouldn't know what to do if it didn't hurt all the time.

Several years ago, the doctor gave me a shot that helped a fair amount with my back pain, and my back wasn't killing me constantly, I realized that I had pain in my gut. lol I found that I had a hernia, and I never noticed because the pain in my back was so bad. crazy

Oh well, next trip in my voyage of pain is the Cleveland Clinic. My podiatrist has been doing nerve blocks in my feet for several months now, and they help somewhat. He did double blocks this last time, and they have helped even more. It's an interesting experience ...... he did 2 blocks in each foot, one on the top of the foot, just below where the shin meets the foot, and the other in the outside of the heel, below the ankle. The 1st time he did them, he told me to let him know when he hit the nerve, I asked him how I would know, and he said, "You'll know". lol

He was right. lol

Anyway, you might want to consider blocks in your feet. It's not narcotic medication... and they do help to a varying degree. Mine usually help for about 2-3 weeks. Unfortunately, my appointments are 4 weeks apart ......

Anyway, that may be something to consider.

So far I have ignored the pain as much as I can. I have convinced myself that the pain is minor, even though it s not. I refuse to lose. I can not control everything in my life as much as I want to, but damnit I can still control some things and I will fight to control them till God tells me "No more" Then knowing me I will flip him the bird and say give me some more lol I Love God with all my heart, and all my soul just like the bible says. BUT I Love my wife and kids the same, so I know I will lose the battle but damn it I will fight for my family even if it costs me my life in heaven.

I think that we can trust in the Lord while also doing everything we can to improve our situations.

That said, I don't think that it's wise to challenge God. His reach exceeds that of everyone else combined, and his power is likewise beyond all others. He also never loses. Beyond that, God loves you, even when you face challenges.

Let me find you the robotic hand we got my grandfather that flipped the bird; it even worked via a remote in the package with the hand.
