I'm going back to pooping in the woods, and peeing in the back yard just like we did in the good old days.

Why even have signs on restroom doors? What about locker rooms? If I choose to feel like a lady today, can I enter the womens locker?

After more than six minutes of defending her position, Moore was silenced when parents broke out into song to drown her out. "Jesus love me, yes I know, for the Bible tells me so," a popular Christian hymn, they chose to end discussion. So, they let her speak for 6 minutes and then protested by singing a Christian hymn? Oh, the horror! What's this world coming to! Personally, I'll take that kind of protest anyday over what the illegals and the bernieboys are doing.

Ahhhh............so this has be a religious debate.
Meanwhile, shy, insecure, girls who are undergoing drastic anatomical changes and have to share bathrooms and locker rooms w/classmates who have male body parts are once again........ignored.
It's more important to champion one's religious beliefs and to make sure that transgendered students be given their rights than it is to even consider the rights of young, vulnerable females.
As usual...carry on. Vers, you are right on target with this one.

Okay, but science continually finds links that show people get born a different gender than their anatomy, and that you're born attracted who you're attracted to.
I'm quite sure the Jesus and God I worship wouldn't create an individual damned to hell due to gender or sexual orientation. Maybe not but, then use the non gender restroom you were offered. No need to make others feel uncomfortable(speaking of innocent young ladies). This has gone way too far. Again, inconvenience, the majority to suit the whims of the minority.

More likely that some agree that the rights of the minority trump the majority and the majority shall be inconvenienced due to the rights of a small few.
Those people were supporting their children, showing love for their families, protesting the six minute vocalization of something that goes against their beliefs. They chose an appropriate expression of protest instead of violence, profanity and dstruction.

Disclamer: My propose of this post was not to offend anyone who might read it. I apologize in advance if that was/is the case.
My intent is to broaden your prospective on this sensitive issue.
Much is lost from the origanal scipt form of the "Tanakh" or Old Testament in litetal translation, not only in the words themselves, but also in their groupings off letters/characters.
God, translated in Hebraic (hebrew), translates to Elohim, which is androgynous (a plural form of the word).
Genesis 1:1 In Habraic (reading from right to left) myhla arb tysarb (by scribes "E"). The literary translation is "In the begining, God creates. Hebrew translation "In wisdom Elohim creates."
If we take the last word myhla in the first line above and break it down; (la/El) is masculine and (hla/Eloah) is feminine (Goddess). Therefore the word is androgynous. Elohim is (reading from right to left) "myhla" (translation God/Goddess).
Genesis 1:27 "God (Elohim) created man in his own image; In the image of God (Elohim) created he them: Male and female created he them "
Later we know that there was a separation, "so that man (Adam) may have a helper."
Genesis 2:23 "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called woman, for she was taken out of man."
Notes: (1), Scribes "E" are hypothesized by scholars as the second group of scribes who trance scribed the "Torah" (Books of The Law).
(2), Scribes "D" are hypothedized by scholars to be the first group of scribes. Scholars aren't sure why, but scribes "E" changed their pronunciation of God, from that of scribes "D", from YHWH Yahweh to Elohim.
(3), Angels throughout ancient history, have been illustrated, as having both male and female characteristics.
(4), (J)Yehovah (reading from right to left) hvhy Yehovah Elohim myhla hvhy is said to be an Angel who helped god in the Garden of Eden. Yod/Iod translates to male/man; Phallus. Heva/H(eve) translates to female/woman; Uterus. Yehovah is also androgynous.
(5), "Androgynous Shiva" the Hinduism God.
(6), "Ometecuhtla" is the Aztec male-female Creator.
God is far more complex, then we have the full capability of understanding.
Is God a man? Yes Is God a Woman? In the Hebraic since, God is androgynous, so yes, God is.

Look............I could care less about the religious angle to this issue. I think you religious fanatics are whacked and I think anyone who opposes you in these religious arguments are equally whacked. Arguing over theology and myths is bizarre. What's important here is the rights of those being affected. I really don't have a problem w/transgendered people. Their rights should be protected. They should not be persecuted. On the other hand, I think that the rights of other people are also important. You got guys like Rocket saying that their rights don't matter because they aren't "well adjusted." That's BS! I believe everyone is entitled to equal rights. And I don't give a damn if you and your god has a problem w/that.

Well, let's look: Quote: by me Why should a young girl be subjected to seeing a male's body parts if she is uncomfortable w/it?
This one is from YOU: Most well adjusted human beings go into locker rooms to change. Not to stare at genitalia, I am not kidding about this...........I have real concerns about you as a teacher. You don't seem to consider the rights of all your students. You choose a group and damn everyone else. All children need love and support. All children should be entitled to equal rights. I feel that you are as ugly as the other side.

Ah, wording...I meant well adjusted as in adults, kids, etc. No one goes into a locker room to stare at each other's stuff.
My parents talked to me about using a locker room when I started going to the Y, and other similar places. You go in, change, and go about your business. Don't stare at people because it's rude, and report any funny business right away.

It's not about staring. It's about rights. If numerous young girls are uncomfortable showing their bodies to a male and also having to see a male's body parts, then their rights should be considered.
You are always flapping your gums about protecting people's rights, but somehow, someway, you are blinded to these young girls' rights. I started out trying to educate you or reason w/you. You wanted nothing to do w/that.
Again, you are just as guilty of bias as those you fight.
Fighting hate and ignorance w/hate and ignorance solves nothing!
And Clem, my friend, this is why I am so reluctant to start the Race thread. Extremists on both sides. Not too many who actually want to work to solve our issues.

So does being called a hater and homophobic and being compared to middle eastern extremists because you have safety concerns over allowing boys and girls in the same bathroom...

If I am in a locker room or any place else where there are naked women/girls I am not only going to notice, but I am going to drool, and commit those memories into my brain in such a way that they will ever be removed. I Love women. I have more close women friends than I do guy friends, I think they are a touch better than us guys. However I am also a dirty old man and as hard as I try that will just never go away lol. God forgive me but I love the female form more than I love the Browns.

So the recent developments.. the federal government is doing what the federal government does, extortion. If you don't agree with us and change on this bathroom thing we will withhold education funding and public safety funding.. because we are the all-powerful, all-knowing federal government, bow to our will or suffer the financial consequences. States have no rights any more... Pretty damn sad.
then we have the AG Lynch citing legal documents like the civil rights act to prove how wrong this is.. while ignoring the legal document that is your BIRTH CERTIFICATE, which states pretty clearly what your gender is.. then saying things like, "We can't ask them to pretend they are something they are not..." So we can't ask a man, pretending to be a woman, to pretend to actually be a man? Sorry, not following your logic here.
And then, through it all, runs the constant theme that most of the people who object to it ARE NOT WORRIED ABOUT TRANSGENDER PEOPLE.. they are worried about anybody who would easily say they are transgender... so passing a law that allows transgender people to use whichever bathroom they choose is the equivalent of passing a law for totally gender neutral bathrooms.. because there is no test, no certificate, no means of verification... there is just how somebody "feels"... which makes every law, other than the one relying on your birth certificate, UNENFORCEABLE...

Being a father of a daughter as well as a grandfather of a granddaughter, I most certainly agree with you in terms of "that portion" of the bill. But just as with most bills, it's full of a lot of other legislation that pretty much makes discriminating against the LGBT community as a whole, perfectly legal. As usual, the headlines focus on one small portion of the bill and doesn't report about the rest of the bill.
I haven't read the bill in its entirety, but according to some articles I've read about it, it does go much further than just the issue of bathrooms. As usual, bills get passed that present themselves as a single issue, when they most certainly are not.

Just a general statement.
Prior to this bruhaha,I'd never heard a word about his issue. It's almost like it's being brought up to distract us from more important problems..

It wasn't an issue. Then the City of Charlotte made it an issue by tacking the bathroom part onto an employment non-discrimination bill.. the non-discrimination part would not have been overturned by the state and had pretty broad appeal.. then they added the bathroom part...

To me it has nothing to do with trans or bi or this or that. It is about letting any guy in the girls room for whatever reason he wants.

Truthfully? Daughter and I were going somewhere, and I was humming along to it, not knowing who sang it. My daughter said "Dad, this is j.b., and you like it." That's how I know the song.
