Two down, and two more to go.

I listened to WTAM on the way home tonight. A caller called in, and read off a statistic that goes ""the Indians are 11-2 if they walk at least four times in a game."

We're a sustainable ball club. Hats off to Lonnie Chisenhall. I may have given him grief, but he sure loves the crowd out in right field. He subtly interacts with us out there. Someone asked him "how many outs, Lonnie?" last night. He turns around, smirks, and give us two fingers on his right hand. Tonight they cheered for him, and kept praising him after a great throw. He acknowledged with a little bow, and clap on the arm while paying attention to the field. It's small things like that which endear fans to a player.

At that pace, if you went to every game, they'd win 108 games.

- Salazar has some pretty filthy stuff when he's on his game.

- I love watching Francisco Lindor play baseball. He is easily my favorite player at the moment.

- Lonnie Baseball made one helluva throw last night from right field. He rightfully got cheered big for that.

- This team seems to be a little more patient at the plate than in years past. It's refreshing to not watch the middle of our lineup swing at three straight pitches for three straight outs.

Three of our starters are batting above .300. Not sure what's more shocking that nine of them are named Michael Brantley, or none of the three were up here for more than half a season last year.

As I type this Lindor smashes his fifth homer of the year. I love this team.

First game I've caught (maybe even the first one shown) down here in Columbus! Just finished watching Rocky with my 14 year old, turn the game on and wow!

WE DON'T NEED A QB BEFORE WE GET A LINE THAT CAN PROTECT HIM

I didn't get the "hype" for him last year, but now he's showing why he had all the hype. Such a selfless player, too. You can tell he enjoys himself here in Cleveland.

It was not hype. He has been one of the best players in the league since he got called up.

He had a slow start, but probably even more overshadowed by the failures of Bourn and Nick Strikeout Swisher.

I'm eager to see where this team goes the rest of the season. Down to the Jake I go tomorrow for a hopeful sweep!

Tribe back in 1st place!

Tyler Naquin with his 2nd HR in 2 nights.

Right now he is hitting .333 with 24 hits in 72 AB, 2-2B, 2-3B, 2-HR, 4 BB, 6 RBI, and 22 SO. He is also playing well defensively. I like this kid.

Great game tonight. Lindor introduced himself to a national audience. Outstanding game for him. Another HR for Nap.

Tomlin pitched gem.

Headed up to the game tomorrow.. Can't wait! Let's get the sweep!

Nice little streak.

Tomorrow (Monday) starts the Tribe's longest road trip of the year.

Ten games at Seattle, at Los Angeles and at Kansas City.

When I was a kid, a wise old baseball fan once told me:

"Championship teams win two-thirds of their home games and half their road games."

I believe that puts Rocket at 3-1.

quote by Dave above:

"At that pace, if you went to every game, they'd win 108 games." (at a 2-1 pace)

Now he's on a 162 * 3/4 = 121 wins pace.

If he'd only just go to every game.

Hmmm... I'm curious. Every game. My next post.

Another variation on that is "Split with the good teams and beat the brains out of the bums.".

The strange part about the Indians is they are beating the good teams and having trouble with the likes of the Twins, Phillies, and Astros.

Indians up 2-0 in the bottom of the 5th - its an official game. If you saw the sky here, just west of Progressive Field, you'll know why that could be important in a few short minutes.

Wicked stahm comin' ...

I'm bound to get a home run this season. All of the ones this inning have landed within 5-15 feet of me.

I wonder if Kluber remembers how to count to five. As in run support.

And as Dave mentioned, those 5 runs are ohh-fishal.

So far this year Kluber's run support is 3.2. (calculated as runs scored per 27 outs)

Average run support league-wide is ~ 4.5 runs per game.

When i said that I expected him to develop some power, I didn't mean "a home run a day" kind of power. lol

Nice day for Tyler, with a HR, and then a double off a left hander in the 7th.

Great win today!! Let's home some of that momentum from taking over 1st place carries over to the other Cleveland team playing today!

I know it.

I think Tito is a genius. His handling of Naquin is brilliant so far.

Did you know Francona's dad was a decent player (almost won the batting crown while with the Indians in 1959 with a league best .363. (But fell 34 ABs short)

So who's starting a "gofundme"account to pay for Rocket's salary (till the seasons over) and home game tickets for the rest of the season?

Great game today! I left the game after waiting for about 2hrs during the rain delay. My 8 year old son wanted to stay, I was concerned I may miss some of the Cavs if the rain delay lasted too long. Oops!

Rocket, you're 3-1 on the year and I'm 5-1. We should've bought full season, if not half season packages, ha!

So, uh, what's the deal with the nationally televised games, it's getting annoying. Does MLB network have nights with live look ins? Perhaps weekly games?

Trevor Bauer was absolutely locked in tonight, with 10 K and 1 BB ..... and the Indians win 3-1. This is their 6th win in a row, and they are now in 1st by 2.5 games in the Central.

Let's go Tribe!

Yep, Bauer was spot on tonight. Tribe is on a roll. Hopefully, Anderson can keep it up tomorrow as it sounds like they are giving Salazar an extra day's rest for his shoulder.
