I heard Brad Dougherty on the radio before game 3 and one of the things he said was that people get lulled into this trap of thinking the only way to beat GSW is to go small... His point was, that doesn't make sense.. You can't beat one of the best small teams ever by going small and trying to beat them at their own game.. you have to find a way to make them adjust to YOUR game.. I know, easier said than done.
I've said the same thing a few times. I said the following statement on Juen 5th. I hope that Lue doesn't fall prey to trying to go small-ball too much against GS. I know that quite a few people think that is the way to go, but our small-ball group isn't as good as theirs. I think we should use our size to cause rebounding problems for the Warriors.

I am not sure if I would equate the Cavs' success the other night on Love not playing. The guy can score, rebound, and start fast breaks w/outlet passes. He is another guy their D would have to account for.
It would be a mistake to be reactionary or out-think yourself.

Good point with the outlet passes, they're always on the mark. Love must've been a QB in high school.
I'm for starting Jefferson myself though, it just seems that his quickness on the defensive end is making life tough on GS. I don't doubt that Kerr has a major adjustment in store for it, so I guess we'll see.

RJ played great the other night. I think that he should play a lot. I just would not upset the apple cart by benching one of your star players. Not saying I am right...........just an opinion.

I have been blowing off the must-win game thing, but I do think this game is a must win. I'm pretty nervous. Curry and Klay are great players. Can ANY team contain them so many games in a row?
Gotta play w/great defensive intensity, kill them on the boards, and like Excel has always said........hit our outside shots.

It's definitely a must win, I've been hearing the pundits say the Cavs are back in the series after the game 3 win. I'm not buying it, they are back in the series if they win tonight.

Be careful, rookie coach.
I should probably explain that.............the last thing you need in the Finals is drama. There are ways to manipulate your rotations w/out upsetting one of your stars.
I don't agree w/this move. I could be wrong, but it could cause problems that the team does not need.

It should be ok. Not saying love with give us 20, but we can definitely use more than the 3 points we got off the bench not during garbage time.

I understand your concern but you can't argue with results. Everyone knows Love isn't all that on defense and Jefferson had himself some nice lay ups the other night.

With Love on the bench, Kyrie is the only guy who needs protected defensively in our starting 5. That's not as horrible schematically. AI was protected his entire career.
Love will give the offense a boost because he'll be the focal point. Might get to play like Minnesota Kevin Love.
