Francis has not changed church doctrine that calls homosexual acts sinful, but he has shown a more merciful approach to people on the margins, including gays and lesbians. From the article pasted in the first post in the thread. Clearly seen without even following the link. Homosexuality-still a sin. What the pope means is share salvation through Christ, but don't be a jerk about it.

There are peaceful and violent people of all religions.
I believe there is a lot of difference in recognizing sin and persecuting those who sin. Let's face it, we all sin.

And what does one say of a "Christian" who pushes for Sin to become a Civil Right and the Law of the Land while others say, "Wait a minute, that is a Sin and we should not be supporting it." A civil right and the law of the land is a government issue and whether it's sin or not is a religious issue between you and your deity. We already have the separation of church and state.

I just checked a $1, a $5, and a $10. They already have "in God we trust" on them. (I wish I could check more bills, but, $16 is all I have).
God is already in the Pledge.
And I don't think anyone is asking for Christian beliefs to be forced on anyone in schools. The opportunity/ability to have and show Christian beliefs would be nice though.

It wasn't on there until 1957" when we wanted to make sure we was completely different than the soviets. The reasoning had every little to do with religion. And if somebody really cared enough, we can get it removed, because it's a violation n of the first amendment.

I think you should be far more concerned with what you will be telling God than us. What I plan to tell God is really none of your business. You're not God so I wouldn't put much faith in what I tell you.
