Again. That doesn't mean anything.

That's like claiming the Muslim vote is converting to trump because of that dude who gave a speech, with all of his handful of backers.

I can point to conservatives who support Clinton. Is that an indication of a massive movement?

No.

Especially when you have republican leadership like Carson, who just claimed that trans people basically doesn't exist.

Milo is level headed. Unfortunately, there isn't much leadership on the right that supports LBGT community for it to even matter.

With all due respect, for you to say certain things mean nothing is a bit presumptious of you. You can't predict what thousands, or millions of people think. It's actually near impossible to have exact knowledge of that many people's thoughts.

Exactly.

Now you know why they invented things called "polls".

It's not the end all, be all. But it generally gives a nice idea of the political climate.

And people make predictions all the time, based off polls and other factors that deal with society.

So I'm not sure what your point was.

Cops had to stop people from burning the flag.

I will be honest, I wasn't expecting it to be white people burning the flag. That caught me off guard. I'm sure y'all might have seen that before. Just saying that I haven't til now.

Those are usually your ultra left communists and marxists. They did that kind of thing during the Vietnam protests also.

My point is that you're saying things like, "this means nothing" on specific ideas or topics and that a particular changing of events won't happen because of leadership. To come across and de-nounce ideas or happenings that could arise sounds presumptive and arrogant to me.

I ask myself, Quick name 3 repbulicans worse, and more unelectable than Ted Cruz.

I can't.

1 Romney, 2, Mike Huckabee, ... is John Mccain still alive?

I don't mean to come off that way.

But sorry bro. Until the GOP shows universal support for the LBGT community, then I don't see progress happening.

That's just how I feel.

Been Republican, mostly, but now don't trust, or support , actually hate them, (democrat light) now, most my life.

After the shooting in Orlando of a homo night club, and because of some old friendship, this time attended the gay parade for the first year.

What an eye opener, haven't seen so much of a swell of support amoung all those lgb t'ers they were whoo hoo the whole 2 hours.
And why not even call it the gay pride parade, now they only refer it as the pride parade.

The PROBLEM IS. Homo is a sin, and an extra morea, to many
see, both sides are so sure they are on the right.
But the problem is, any country or kingdom that has allowed or, or, has condoned homosexuality , throughout history, has soon been overthrown or become null.

But I have a lot of love for the individual., (at least one individual) who happens to be caught up in the gay lifestyle.
The thing I have to say about it, is, IF, you are caught up into the lifestyle, it's not something to be proud of.
BUT! somehow it's become a FREAKING MOVEMENT , a movement of CULTURAL CHANGE, that somehow is on the cutting edge of cival rights.
( Oh my Go(sh) ! What a travesty! )

NO doubt Swish we are in a divided country. Cruz was talking a couple minutes ago, and Trump stood at the top of a staircase and waved.
(I'm old enough to remember when Regan was shot, I was maybe 5-6, )

God forbid it happens, but the thought hit me, If you don't think we are living in a divided country today,
imagine each individual Americans in their heart reaction to if this phrase.

( See I thought as Trump waved, it looked just like When Regan waved when he was shot, so I imagined I was about to hear someone say
" The President has been shot"

quickly corrected by the " Donald Trump has been shot" .

Then I thought, the first one would mean Obama, and the 2nd one, would mean Trump.

Then I thought, HA HA, half the country would be ... and then ...

and the other half of people would be ... and then ... , HA HA , it's amazingly funny, sad, and disgusting,
but probably true.

I think that Cruz effectively ended any chance of a national political career tonight.

I can see why you would think about progress not happening until universal support is shown by the party though, that makes sense. I just hope that one by one people in the GOP party start changing their stances on certain social topics. Being too socially conservative is the one thing that I do not agree with the party on, and one of the main things that holds them back. Personally I just don't understand the desire\need for another person to stifle someone else's sexual orientation or feelings, kind of weird if you ask me.

Better that than sell your soul. Reagan was asked to speak at the '76 convention and he didn't mention Ford once.

We all know how that turned out.

Wow, interesting, I heard when Cruz got back to the room with other statesman, officials, etc, a couple of them berated him and got into some angry shouting match. That's what CNN said...Would love to be a fly on the wall in that room. ooo

Fox also mentioned some of the money people were there as well.

Cruz screwed the pooch. If there was a national dogcatcher, I doubt that he could win that at this point.

I am not a Republican, and I don't like Trump ... but man, if you are a Republican,. and you are given a high profile speaking role, you don't shove it back in the nominee's face.

Well Ted Cruz campaign over for 2020 could be over. Due to what he actually thought but will give him the benefit of the doubt. For saying how and what he felt and not lying about it. He is no Donald fan.

Well, like I said ... if you don't want to support the nominee, don't accept a speaking role.

I have lost a lot of respect for Cruz and for Kasich as well. Kasick going back on his word, and not even showing up to give a quick speech welcoming the delegates to the convention was pretty low class.

I still go back to their insistence that Trump take that pledge to support the nominee ..... and then they refuse to do so themselves. There is a word for that, and it's hypocrite.

Cruz? He basically told people to vote for the down ticket, even if you don't like the top of the ticket.

That may have been a message for another venue ..... but not at the convention.

Actually, Newt Gingrich did a great job following up Cruz's speech, and defusing things nicely. (and kind of made Cruz look bad, but did so with class)

I am a bit surprised that Cruz spoke at the convention.

But his message was clear. He really despises Trump.

I think he will be back. His line of defense: "I could take all of the name calling and personal attacks. But when Trump included my wife, that was a line that should not have been crossed." And he would be right and he would be forgiven.

He is playing the long game hoping that 2020 will be his time to run against Hillary.

Cruz has a problem, in that people don't like him.

He made himself more unlikable, and made himself look petty. I really don't see how that helps him in any way.

Kind of interesting:

Trump calls Cruz convention speech ‘no big deal’ - The Boston Globe
https://www.bostonglobe.com/news/politic...qZ6N/story.html

Delegates at the Republican National Convention were so upset over Ted Cruz’s non-endorsement of Donald Trump Wednesday that their booing nearly drowned out the end of the Senator’s speech.

But Trump said late Wednesday on Twitter that he already knew what Cruz was going to say.

Wow, Ted Cruz got booed off the stage, didn't honor the pledge! I saw his speech two hours early but let him speak anyway. No big deal!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 21, 2016
Cruz was among the headliners on the RNC’s third day, and urged delegates not to stay home in November but to go to the polls and “vote your conscience.”

The crowd in Cleveland responded with loud boos and shouts of Trump’s name.

He has a large ego, no doubt.

I think in the long run, it will be to his benefit. He has portrayed himself as a principled constitutional conservative, and he is not the side show that Trump has become.

I wont be voting for Trump, and probably not Hillary, I am looking into Johnson and Stein.

Aside from the stupid get rid of corporate taxes idea, Johnson has a somewhat reasonable approach for a Libertarian.

Stein.... ugh. no.

Kasich won't show to his parties convention in his state where it's bringing in big bucks.

Melania plagiarizes Michelle and now a staffer is taking the fall while Melania goes back to NYC.

Cruz speaks and refuses to back Trump to the wild boos of the crowd to the point where security has to escort Mrs Cruz out of the crowd for her own safety.

Trump tries, unsuccessfully, to kiss Pence. Reports of Trump later trying to go to the ladies room have not been confirmed.

Who organized this mess? Does anyone know what is going on? Is this Trump's debacle or Priebus's?

I'd like to say 'no'. however.....well you never know.

rofl catfight rofl

I'm on popcorn number 6 now. This has been a great RNC.

Cruz doesn't fold to Trump and gets booed off stage... CLASSIC.

Melania steals a speech... CLASSIC.

Trump offers Kasich the VP and says he will be in charge of domestic and foreign affairs. What exactly would Trump be doing? "Making America Great Again"... CLASSIC.

Kasich snubs the RNC and Trump... CLASSIC.

Rubio folds and phones it in with a video snub... CLASSIC.

What a train wreck. And I seriously think he might end up winning... wow.

So I have a question, assuming he offered Pence the same control he offered Kasich, what will a Trump Presidency actually look like?

Disgusting.
