Are you going to tell me that a more 'green' production of energy is better?
Yes....much better then producing energy from crops, coal, and fossil fuels.
Went up to northern Michigan last week. On the way up we go past a wind farm. It's a ways north of Lansing.
I, while driving, counted upwards of 50 wind turbines. That was me, while driving. I wouldn't be surprised if there are 75-100 of them.
That, folks, is what is called "green energy." Based on what similar, but probably smaller turbines in this area cost, I'm going to say each of those in that spot cost more than 1 million dollars.
And, not a single one of them was moving.
No problem, right? But, see, you can't just start up the coal or nuke plants on a whim. You don't just shut them down because it's a windy day.
I love green energy. But, it's unreliable, and darn expensive. It helps, don't get me wrong there. But it's simply not THE answer. We still need energy plants.
