Teddy Bridgewater might've just blown out his knee.

Everyone is reporting that it is a pretty devastating injury.

Poor guy.

Austin Davis just found a new home I bet. Sucks for Teddy. Adrian Peterson cannot carry, regardless how awesome he is, that team on his back. That injury could have very well iced their hopes for anything postseason.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Varying reports from 'blown out knee' to 'compound fracture in leg', all speculation at this time, but most Minny reporters are saying that his season is done this year.

Wow, that really sucks. Non-contact injury during a non-contact practice. Just goes to show you how precarious your roster situation can get in the blink of an eye.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Mark Sanchez possibly?

Minnesota doesn't need a stud QB. They need a game manager. Sanchez or McCown might be the best options.

And besides, everyone around the league knows how much the Browns value future draft picks.

I'm rather curious about the actual details of what happened.
I mean, seriously.... how does this happen?

That Arizona corner, Jenkins I believe, had a non contact injury and was carted off the field just the other day. ACL.

sad news for Vikes and Teddy. Hate to see it

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

j/c:

The other day, I posted a vid of Teddy faking a SD defender out of his jock. I'll post it again. There are three views. The 3rd one is the best. Check out how much pressure he puts on his left knee and nothing.

As many of you know, I was really hoping that the Browns would draft him. I've been following his career and by all accounts, he was lighting it up in camp.

Damn shame.

I just read that it was his left knee. It was said that some players vomited on the field, but the Vikings' PR guy denied that. There was a snap heard and his knee was "flailing" around.

Sorry to hear the news. A terrible deal for him to deal with.

For Fantasy players, you might need to scratch Treadwell from your draft list.

Sucks to hear. I immediately thought how we should have had him as our QB. Now nobody is going to have him for a while. Too bad.

I figure, like someone said above, the Vikes would be in the market for a QB that could play right away. Josh could fill that role. I'm not suggesting we fleece them in a tragic time, but Josh has a lot of value right now.

I don't know if we can afford to lose Josh because RG3 won't make it to week 8. Maybe if Kessler had played better so far we might be willing to trade Josh. We'll see.

Fitzpatrick is still a FA. I think he would be at the top of their list. He is 33, which for a QB gives him 2-3-4 more good years....maybe a little more.

I'd sign him before I signed Josh.

Plus, I don't want to get rid of Josh just yet. He holds value to our team

Fitz signed a 1-year deal with the Jets for $12M back in late July.

No one has commented on the video I posted, probably because it takes too much time to view. It's a full 38 seconds long. LOL

Anyway........when I initially saw the video, my first thought was, "Wow, what a move!"

"My second thought was, "Damn, he just put a ton of pressure on that knee and that is the kind of move that could tear a knee apart."

Purp mentioned earlier how can a guy just go down w/out being hit. I do realize it happens all the time. It happened to our own LeCharles Bentley. It recently happened to Ben Watson, the former Brown.

But still.......I wonder if there is a connection between that move and today's injury?

CBS update says a complete tear of the ACL and other structural damage.

Kids done for a year and a half......maybe forever.

I think it's speculation, but it does sound a lot like Ifo Ekpre-Olomu's injury. Complete tear of the ACL, dislocated knee cap, and "additional damage" was going across the ticker on NFL Network. I haven't seen anything about a time frame yet.

The Vikings released a statement announcing the extent of Bridgewater's injuries:

[Bridgewater] suffered a non-contact injury today at practice. The injury was quickly identified as a dislocated knee. The injury was stabilized, and he was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and evaluation. After undergoing an MRI, it was determined that Teddy suffered a complete tear to his ACL and other structural damage. Fortunately, there appears to be no nerve or arterial damage. Surgical repair will be scheduled within the next few days. Although the recovery time will be significant, we expect Teddy to make a full recovery. I would like to thank all of the medical professionals and our athletic training staff for all of their help today. Teddy has already displayed the attitude needed to overcome this injury and attack his rehab.

Its similar to the McGahee and Lattimore injuries. Normally you dont see it in a QB. Interested to see how he recovers, especially since that is his plant leg.

Terrible injury to a good kid. I hope he does make it back and has a long career.

How bad is this compared to the Brady/Rivers torn ACLs?

The ACL tear isnt the problem from what I gather ... it's the structural damage that complicates it. He'll definitely never be the same, but I don't know if he's necessarily done.

ESPN had a doctor who played in the NFL. He described a similar injury and it knocking him out for a year. Even after a year he only felt 85% healthy.
