if pryor continues to progress, he and Gordon could be very good together
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

The last time we saw him play he was more of a liability than an asset. I've never seen Coleman play a down in the NFL and I have more confidence in Coleman and Pryor being our dynamic duo than I do Gordon being in that mix.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Hopefully Gordon can be productive enough to get a decent trade deal for him before the trade deadline this season.

If you peeps think this is going to make Gordon stay straight, you are woefully naive.
I moved on from him 2 years ago...........

Hopefully Gordon can be productive enough to get a decent trade deal for him before the trade deadline this season. they don't have to trade him before the trade deadline. If they want to get something for him they can put an original round tender on him at the end of the season and more than likely get a 2nd for him. That's assuming he plays well and goes for 1k+ yard in the 12 games he's active.

Seriously though..........how do you think he'll play this year? You're right, 1k yards definitely is a lot in 12 games. But I think he can put on a 1,333 yard pace as the feature receiver. I really have no idea how he'll play this year. But point is he'd have to show a lot in 3 games or whatever it is (after they moved the trade deadline back a couple weeks IIRC) to get anything in return this year. Much more likely to either have someone sign him to offer sheet as a second rounder or have the browns trade him after season is over after assigning original round tender than to trade before trade deadline, specifically because of the suspension.

Picture of Haslam and Gordon before the Packers game online, chatting up with one another. Sounds like Jimmy is really pulling for this kid to finally straighten up and get his stuff together.
Good luck with that one Jimmy. You can't buy a lawyer to fix stupidity.

Seriously though..........how do you think he'll play this year? I dunno if this is to everyone or just this poster. But my prediction is 1100 yards 8 TDs. I think he can do it. I'm sure he's been working out and doing drills, he just needs to get into NFL shape. By week 5, he'll be there.

Seriously though..........how do you think he'll play this year? Personally I hope I never see him. Meathead can sit on the bench all year. I want our new rookie Coleman out there almost every play. Pryor and the rookies we just drafted can take reps at the other spots. I can't think of one of these guys I'd like to cut so meat has a spot. I'm kind of hoping he gets dinged enough to put him on IR for the year. These young kids need reps and lots of them. Of course that won't happen, and we'll cut a kid so meat has a spot. Then he'll do something stupid again and make us regret cutting a guy that WANTS to play football..... I would trust Leon more than meat. That about says it all.... I'm really looking forward to seeing Coleman develop this year. Sure he's a rookie and will struggle at times but every snap he's out there this year will pay off in the future. Same goes for Pryor and the other rookies we drafted. If one or two of them turn into a special player we will be in good shape for the foreseeable future.... Every snap meat is out there takes away from that....

If guys like Gordon, Pryor, Coleman and others begin to show improvement and move in the right direction we could have a top shelf O by the middle of the season. DJ should be better we already have GB. Hopefully RG comes back and plays well. If our line comes together we could really have something.

My realistic hope is that Coleman and Pryor become comfortable, Gordon works himself into form (and reliable), and one of the rookie WRs proves himself to be viable. That will make next offseason much easier (whether that's to continue to mold RG3 or to mold our new draft pick QB)

Josh Gordon 'confident' he can match his 2013 numbers http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000...is-2013-numberst feels like 37 years ago when Josh Gordon wound up leading the NFL in receiving yards. In truth, it was much more recent than that -- 2013 -- but the starry Browns receiver has been a ghost since then, playing in just a handful of games the following season before serving a league-imposed ban that wiped out all of 2015. Back on the field and preparing for his first preseason game -- which could come Thursday against the Falcons -- Gordon stressed Monday that he's entirely capable of repeating his feats from three campaigns ago, saying: "I'm confident in my abilities. I know what I can do." Gordon practiced for the first time Monday after suffering a quad injury prior to training camp. Bottom line, the wideout showed up out of shape, but his teammates have welcomed him back to the fold. "It feels like home," Gordon said, adding, per the team's official website: "Every day that I'm back means a lot to me. I'm glad to be out there with my brothers, put my helmet back on and get back in the swing of things." He'll start the year serving another four-game ban, but the Browns would love to preview a three-receiver set featuring Gordon, quarterback-turned-wideout Terrelle Pryor and exciting rookie Corey Coleman during the preseason. At 25, Gordon still has time to make good on his incredible potential. We've been here before, though, with the enigmatic pass-catcher saying all the right things, only to vanish again under the haze of NFL discipline. This time, we need to see it on the field.

I was responding to another poster. Just so you know.
Obviously, it is your right that you are pulling for him. The other day, a poster said "we need to welcome him back w/open arms."
I don't feel I need to do anything of the sort.
I kinda look at this way. I invite you into my house. You steal from me. We talk about it. I invite you back. You steal again. Sorry man........you have lost my trust.
And I don't trust Gordon.
I'll be happy if Josh stays straight and plays well, but I don't trust him or feel the need to welcome him back w/open arms.

Except Gordon didn't steal from you. It's more like he jaywalked, but instead of getting a fine like everyone else they randomly decided he wasn't allowed on the road for a year. Bleh.
Hopefully Gordon's troubles are behind him.

Hi Josh, my name's Hue. Shut up. Get in line. Work your ass of every single day. Learn your position so well that you can run routes backwards. Don't screw up while you are under suspension. Remember that you are a 3rd strike guy, and if we cut you, another team would probably sign you, but given your history, almost certainly only to a minimum contract. Stay away from "friends" who will lead you back into the circumstances that got you suspended in the past.Don't become a distraction.

Rice had a terrible season before knocking out his wife. And it was all over TV (like the Vick thing). It becomes more trouble than it's worth because of the PR nightmare. Gordon isn't a PR nightmare because he hasn't done anything violent save a .09 DWI conviction. .08 is the limit, although IMO it should be .1 And Vick was a PR nightmare, that's why the only team that would take him was the Eagles and they dealt with the PETA protestors for awhile. Vick went to jail for what he did and I think that helped them save face. Rice didn't go to jail, so folks probably didn't think there was justice

Rice didn't go to jail, so folks probably didn't think there was justice The NFL actively worked a P.R. campaign through the media months ahead of Vick's release to pave the way for him, too. It actually started not long after he was sentenced. The NFL doesn't like when one of its more marketable faces is lost before they've squeezed all they can from it.

Now that's the truth. The NFL sold a ton of Vick jerseys in his Atlanta days. Michael Vick and Ron Mexico Jerseys. Vick had a lot of defenders, people liked him, and he was still a star. That's the thing with Rice, he had a terrible year before he beat his wife. That and he was an aging RB (a position that many folks think is very easy to fill and replace). Rice just wasn't worth it. It would be like a Long Snapper DUI Murdering someone. Doubt they'd ever get another chance to snap a ball again. On the otherhand Leonard Little and Donte Stallworth were eventually brought back
