WHen Rahim Moore is cut I expect us to look for FS

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I expect that both he and Tramon Williams will be cut and that our starting safeties will be Kindred and Campbell, with Haden, Taylor, Caldwell, Howard, and Gilbert playing corner.

Kindred/Campbell can tackle at least. Not sure about the coverage aspect

Even over QB and LT, it may be the "premium" position seeing that you need 3-4 really good corners to play solid D in this league.

That isn't to say you don't go QB first. I am simply saying that you need multiple players, which goes to your point. If a guy is even halfway decent, he usually sticks and doesn't get cut.

It's hard to cut a decent corner. Most coaches/GM's will keep extra corners and cut a player or two from other positions.

None of them can cover. We have table scraps for safeties.

It is a better question. Is he injured or hurt? Saw no reason for this. Or did he just get Sashi-ed?

Cut Gilbert.

Why is he so keepable? Shamefully chasing players, whiffs, and more of the same. Just think I wanna shop some more.

He was a pretty big bust for them. Maybe he'd fit in here then

My buddy was cut by the Titans earlier today. He was a CB under Horton in Tennessee. I'm hoping he gets a shot here.

Thanks Grateful. He's struggled with injuries (shoulder, hamstring) and changes in staff the past 3 years. Plus, he didn't play well either (or maybe he's just not good enough) ... but he's long, smart, and athletic. I'd honestly say Gilbert is not better. (not saying much)

I remember a lot of people liking him with the biggest criticism being tight hips. Perhaps a candidate for one of the safety positions?

The Philadelphia Eagles' talked-about receiver position is starting to clear up after a few surprising cuts on Sunday.

The team announced that wideouts Rueben Randle and Chris Givens were among the players released as the team reduced their roster from 90 to 75 players. This initial cutdown doesn't often include well-known names, but perhaps the Eagles wanted to give these two veterans a chance to land a job elsewhere.

Randle had the most career production on this unproven depth chart, but his reputation for mental errors and uneven effort followed him to Philadelphia. With that said, there was still some belief during training camp that he could wind up starting for the team.

Givens' release is less of a surprise, although he was taking snaps with the Eagles starters just a day before the release. (Sam Bradford's first completion Saturday against the Colts was a 19-yard gain to Givens.) Givens, who played with Bradford in St. Louis, spent most of last season on the Ravens.

With Randle and Givens out of the picture, Philly's wideout depth chart looks pretty clear. Nelson Agholor, Josh Huff and recent trade acquisition Dorial Green-Beckham figure to all get snaps behind No. 1 wideout Jordan Matthews. Since Matthews is best in the slot, Agholor figures to get continued chances to prove he was worth Philly's first-round pick a year ago. Huff made a few big plays in Saturday's game and undrafted free agent Paul Turner has an improved shot to make the team.

The Eagles also cut long snapper John DePalma, cornerback Randall Evans, offensive lineman Andrew Gardner, defensive tackle Mike Martin, safety Nick Perry and cornerback Denzel Rice. They placed defensive end Alex McCalister (calf) and linebacker Joe Walker (knee) on injured reserve.

I like both WRs, unfortunately thats the one position we don't have a need for ... at least it seems like it

Paul Kruger cut by Cleveland Browns in trim to 75

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Browns linebacker Paul Kruger has been cut by the Browns in the trim from 90 to 75, a league source told cleveland.com.

The move was due to his performance and had nothing to do with a youth movement.

Also cut were tight end E.J. Bibbs, kicker Travis Coons and quarterback Austin Davis.

More to come soon.

It was time to cut ties with Kruger. This was a smart move. This team will be bad and we need to see the young guys. Kruger's "almost got him" approach has worn out its welcome.Financially speaking, we take a dead cap hit of $2.4M but save $5.3M this season.

So...Ogbah and Orchard are the starting OLBs, I guess? After Friday's game, I was hoping this would be the case. We'll see.

EJ Bibbs is someone I would have liked to see more of. I feel like he didn't get all that much of a chance to succeed here. Allegedly, his blocking was poor but would have liked to see him on the field more. Good luck.

Kruger....whoa, he wasn't great, but we aren't exactly stacked at OLB. Are they moving Armonty back to OLB or was he cut, too? Where are you all seeing the "full" list?

Daryl Ruiter is on 92.3 The Fan right now saying that Kruger's contract has been fully paid (in terms of guarantees) so although we take a cap hit on the pro rated bonus money, the Browns lose no money cutting Kruger.

That's not to say I think this is a financial move, because I don't think it is whatsoever, just cutting someone who isn't gonna make a difference on this defense.

Very interesting that there is one player left to cut. I wonder if they're trying to move someone?

I can't say he was all that productive but I'm not sure why you would cut Kruger at this point unless someone fighting for a roster spot was just kicking his butt.

Cutting Kruger now gives him a chance to sign on with another team. No sense in stringing him along.

Obviously, the Browns are going with a youth movement and want to give the young guys time to grow.
