jc..

While I agree, it would be dumb to trade Gordon now...I believe there is a good chance that this front office trades trades him, if they can get good compensation in return.

Gordon will be property of the Browns through 2017, with next season (2017) being a Restricted Free Agent year for Gordon.

IMO, our front office would rather see their draft picks play and gain experience than to play Gordon.

What is a top WR worth in the NFL?

They could try to hold out for a 1st round pick and if there are no such offers this season, Gordon could figure into a 2017 draft day deal.

I would be shocked if this front office signs Gordon to a 2nd contract...he will be gone once the compensation is acceptable to our front office...just a matter of when.

If they did re-sign him it would have to be a voided contract with another suspension. The good thing is we have all of the leverage ... we have 1 more year after this and two years with tags to use.

If the FO deems him worthy to be a part of the rebuild, they own him for the foreseeable future

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Interesting...in my opinion...I think our front office would rather Josh stay eligible and be able to play FOR THE BROWNS because the guy is a STUD NFL WR when he can play.
