Only got to see the 7th through the 9th, but our bullpen is fun to watch when they are on. Shaw, Miller, then Allen = Lights out...

On another note, I'm glad to see Coco Crisp come back to Cleveland and make some meaningful contributions. I really liked him as a player when he first came up. It's just nice to see him helping the cause.

I see Josh Tomlin is back on track to be a lock for the 2016 AL Cy Young award.

I suspect Cooperstown will waive the waiting period for Tomlin and that he’ll be the first player inducted while still playing.

great game last night, I was happy Tomlin got back, looks like the rest really helped him. he was locating everything he wanted last night and i really think the run support helped calm him down and allowed him to relax. Magic number is 12

looks like Gomes will catch tomorrow for Kluber. I hope he can come back even 50 % of 2014. Watching giminez catch and perez hit is brutal at times. We really need a productive Gomes

I read that Gomes got hit in the hand by a pitch in his freaking rehab game last night and had to leave the game, so stay tuned.

wish we could get any kind of consistency from the offense, other than consistently not being able to hit AAA teams

Not sure how true it is, but my dad said he heard it could possibly be broken....

I know, I have no links or anything. I'm just on by what he saw on TV today.

We have 3 coming up with the Tigers. If we take 2 of 3, we knock our magic number against the Tigers down to 7 with 13 games left. (and our magic number would be at least 6 against the Royals in that case) (if I count right) That would be huge. We have a nice 9 game home stand against the Tigers, Royals, and White Sox, and then 7 on the road against the Tigers and White Sox to finish up the regular season.

If we can just win the 3 series at home, (win 2 of 3 games in each series) we wrap this thing up. nanner grin cool

Let's Go Tribe! laugh laugh laugh

More important than the loss:

Francona is showing his genius.

He's obviously getting the team ready for:

1) Detroit
2) The post-season

The big guns in the bullpen (Miller and Allen) are ready to go this week-end.

Clevinger's getting great experience. His ERA is finally below 5.00. Francona's maximizing Clevinger's chances for success as a starting pitcher.

Doesn't mean we'll win, but Francona is positioning the team to succeed.

Oh my god!

Tomorrow is Sugarland Dollar Dog Night at Progressive Field.

Hot dogs that normally sell for $4 will cost $1 tomorrow night.

Joey Chestnut (the hot dog eating champion) could single-handedly put Sugerland out of business.

Magic numbers mean nothing if the Indians don't figure out how to score a runner at 3rd with less than 2 outs. They had two shots in the last 3 innings today, and failed. All you need is a medium deep fly ball, a ground ball not hit directly at an infielder, a bloop, a bleeder, a gork, a ground ball with eyes (sorry, I'm channeling Crash Davis now). GAH!!! That was an annoying game today. If we don't start hitting, it'll be a quick exit from the playoffs.

Just a reminder: Despite how poorly we have been playing of late, we still have the 4th best record in all of baseball.

Everything except the onions has to go from that hot dog, then add Stadium Mustard and you're good. Tomatoes, pickles, and cucumbers on a hot dog - unthinkable.

Oh, and by the way Rocky, its Sugardale Dollar Dog Night. Sugarland is a country pop band. wink

speaking of food, the last time I was at first energy my food was awful. It was like it had been sitting out for hours, very stale, luke warm.

We all know it's expensive, but to be expensive and bad is not acceptable IMO

You're kiddin', right?

Sugardale?

I wanted some Sugerland dogs. Sans the extras. (as if a few pieces of cuke and tomato make it a "healthy" option.)

Gomes is done for the year (though my update only said "regular season"). Broken wrist.

I have never bet on baseball games.

I see the line tonight is CLE -153.

I think that means if you wanted to bet on this game;

if you bet on the Tigers to win, you risk losing $100 to make $153.

and if you take the Tribe, you risk losing $153 to make $100.

Anybody know if that's right? And if it is, I guess the Indians are heavy favorites.

I'd love to know the percentages on that.

I think the indians just need to move on from Gomes, always hurt and hasn't been productive for 3 years. Makes the Lucroy miss all the more painful, hopefully Meija gets a look next year in spring training. If Perez can just start hitting consistent we'd be ok, his defense is pretty on par with Gomes. He's thrown runners out pretty regularly. But he has to hit better, Which to his credit he's slowly coming around, hopefully he's getting caught up just in time for playoffs..
