It'd be one thing with Griffin had a long track record of success or a contract that tied him to the team. He has neither.
I agree with Pluto, the Griffin experiment should be over. After one game? Guy comes in, busts his ass, works hard at doing things right this time around and one game is all he gets? I'm not saying count on him. By all means draft a QB. But I would still keep Robert around and if he wins the job next season I'd give him another shot. Hell, he may come back in 7-8 weeks and show us a little bit.... I was not an RG3 fan back when everyone was jumping at the chance to throw first round picks around.... His signing didn't rate too high with me. Thought he was an egotistical jerkoff. He showed he can change. He worked at it. It's interesting that so many are ready to jump ship on Robert yet Johnny idiot could run off to Reno and beat his GF and he was just fine.....Meathead can't keep from getting suspended but a lot of guys won't HEAR of trading or cutting him. But a guy comes in and really CHANGES. Does everything right and one injury ends it after one game..... man I still find it funny you call JM "meathead". I was on the other end of the spectrum on that one. Meaning I liked Johnny and thought you would develop nicely. Boy I was wrong. Not sure I would call him meathead but def an addict. that out of the way. I agree we need to give RGIII more time when he gets healthy. we cannot simply get behind him and say he is our starter and then after one so so game abandon him. the kid IS young and HAS worked his butt off. was not his fault how he got hurt. we should support the hard work he has put in. He earned that right to me to start again when healthy. If he doesn't pan out then we know. but just to say f' it after one game is nuts...not all his fault either, I saw plenty of throws on target an have the WR just drop it. Barndige had two drops that I can recall. give this kid a chance to prove himself.

I agree with Pluto, the Griffin experiment should be over. After one game? Yes, that is all it takes. This is how the world knows that Wentz and Prescott are franchise quarterbacks. They have played a meaningful game.

to be fair, Prescott looked average at best (at least compared to what some of the hype is). He dinked and dunked for completions and not much else.
Heck, IIRC Dez had one catch
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

It's just my opinion but I don't think Hue wants to give up on RG3. That's not to say we won't want draft a QB high in 2017, but I don't expect his time to be over here in Cleveland and he could even get a legit chance to be the starter.
At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

Taking RGs injury history in to account has to be a part of the evaluation process. In that realm, he fails yet again.

Yeah, IMO it's going to be tough to salvage RG3 at this point

I think it is very important for RGIII to play again this season. It could very damaging to his career if it is decided he needs surgery and has to sit the rest of the year.

Even if RGIII doesn't play this year, I believe he'll be a candidate for a backup role somewhere.
Me, personally, I think the experiment should be over. He's missed so much time, to miss even more time in a new scheme and setting - I doubt he'd be able to come in mid-season and make a case for himself. It's not like he played on a good note before getting injured.
He's just a fragile Qb with a tough man mindset.

He could end up being a backup here even after his contract runs out. He'll backup a new qb that we will probably draft next year or in '18. He can't be any teams starter he is too fragile.

Yeah, IMO it's going to be tough to salvage RG3 at this point At this point? It was going to be tough to begin with. Biggest draw back now was that Sashi's project failed and now knows he still should have drafted Wentz at #2 in 2016 regardless if RGIII was signed on or not. Lesson learned, I hope. We'll see.

Well, I gave it about a 10% chance when we signed him. Now it's about 1%

Interesting: Injury-prone NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III was a whiz in high school. RG3 graduated a semester early and began classes at Baylor when he was only 17 years old. The Cleveland Browns player made the dean’s list twice during his time at Baylor and earned his political science degree in only three years. http://sports.yahoo.com/photos/brawn-plu...-000958282.html
