I want us to draft the best front 7 player available, the best QB available ... and also the best secondary guys in mid rounds available
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

I REALLY like Luke Falk. Might be the most accurate QB I've seen in awhile. He has a strong arm too. He throws it where only his guy can catch it.
He's thin as a twig though, but damn does he have a good arm. If he was built like Kizer, he'd be a guy I'd strongly suggest trading up for. To where... zero? P.S. It's terrible we already have to have a thread about this (sighs).

Jack up the loss for Jackson?

Kizer and Watson have to be top 2 at this point. Kizer just might have surpassed Watson as the #1 pick as of now.
Luke Falk is intriguing, but he's in a Mike Leach offense, and he's not a top 10 guy. I like what JT Barrett has done this year so far, but he's not likely a first rounder.
The other guy I like that I haven't seen anyone mention (makes sense) that I have an eye on (highly likely 2018 draft) is Mitch Trubisky from UNC (Mentor grad).

Any chance we can get Watson and Fournette? We could technically probably do it, but it doesn't seem like something our front office would do. We have two pretty good RBs and it seems like our front office would not favor drafting one in the first round (which is where Fournette will go), especially in a draft that will be loaded with running backs. Not to mention that right now, that pick we got from Philly is trending towards the 2nd round. Imagine if the pick they got from Minny turns out to be earlier than the one they dealt us.

What about when Sam Bradford beats them in the Playoffs?

Quinn: Kizer will experience poor ownership if drafted by Browns By Chase Goodbread College Football 24/7 writer Sept. 21, 2016 Suffice it to say that Brady Quinn, despite being roughly seven years removed from the last time he wore a Cleveland Browns uniform, doesn't think too highly of his former NFL team. Quinn is one of several former Notre Dame quarterbacks to heap praise upon the Fighting Irish's current signal-caller, DeShone Kizer, in an MMQB column. But Quinn was more than just impressed with Kizer, who has played well this season despite Notre Dame's 1-2 start. Quinn also expressed hope that Kizer doesn't eventually land with the Browns, as Quinn did. "If DeShone goes to Cleveland next year, he'll get a first-hand experience of very poor ownership and, unfortunately, a poor long-term and short-term vision of how to build success," Quinn said. Ouch. The Browns made Quinn the No. 22 overall pick of the 2007 NFL Draft, and he lasted just three seasons. He played very little over the first two of those, and struggled in 2009 when he finally got extensive playing time. Quinn didn't exactly have much help around him -- the club was 19-29 in Quinn's three years -- and he clearly feels the blame for that lies at the top. Of course, there has been much turnover in the Cleveland front office since Quinn departed, most notably at the top. Owner Jimmy Haslam bought the club three years after Quinn's exit. As for Kizer, there's no telling when the Browns or any other club might have a chance at him, anyway. As a third-year sophomore, he has a wide-open window for potential draft eligibility: 2017, 2018, or 2019. Quinn's opinion, however, doesn't sound like it will be changing anytime soon. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000...afted-by-browns

I really hate it that Quinn was a straight up bum, yet has the nerve to trash us.

How does a guy who has never thrown a ball further than 10 yards going to talk about our long term vision?

He was a bum, guy couldn't throw a 10 yard out on the fly. But he has a point. It remains to be seen if the new regime will correct the accurate (imo) perception that is out there about Browns' management to date.

Since he left: New owner New FO New coaches I understand the Browns have a history of this but let's give these guys time before we compare them to management of old.

I really hate it that Quinn was a straight up bum, yet has the nerve to trash us. Nothing he said is wrong. Well... the year we drafted him, we sat him on the bench to learn while also going 10-6. Kinda sounds to me like they had a long term vision there, they just didn't see Brady Quinn being a dumpster fire. All I'm trying to say is that Quinn is making a lot of excuses for someone who was drafted as a franchise QB.

All I'm trying to say is that Quinn is making a lot of excuses for someone who was drafted as a franchise QB. It seems like he was commenting on the current situation, not his time in Cleveland. Our current owner has been in place since 2012. He has fired three GMs (Heckert, Banner/Lombardi, and Farmer) and and three head coaches (Shurmur, Chud, and Pettine). Haslam has given no indication that he will provide a stable environment.

His nickname is “Mr. Biscuit” • If he could choose an NFL team to play for, it would be the Cleveland Browns • His dream job is a head football coach at a university • His New Year’s resolution was to call his family more often • Favorite TV show is “How I Met Your Mother” • Wears No. 10 because it was his father’s high school number • Favorite off-day activity is golfing or watching movies • The people who had the biggest impact on his life are Dave and Jeanne Trubisky, his parents • Exercise and sport science major • Birthday is August 20.
Link I recorded the game today, and I'll watch it later. I like that he actually wants to play for the Browns.

He played very well from what I saw, but he didn't play well when I saw him earlier this year

Watson is just not good. At all.
Kizer is a project at this point. Kaaya is most ready. And...Trubisky does look really good too.

Brady Quinn was hoping he would play for us .... and was heartbroken when we passed over him with our 1st pick, until we traded back up for him.
He stunk.
Charlie Frye was from Akron, and said that really wanted to be the QB to turn the Browns around.
He stunk.
Johnny Manziel wanted to wreck the league with the Browns. Instead he just finished wrecking the career of Ray Framer. If Manziel had been just an average QB, Farmer would be revered around Cleveland.
He stunk.
I just want a guy who can play QB proficiently.I don't care if we are his 33rd choice as far as where he would prefer playing.

As of right now, I don't think there is an eligible college QB worth 1-1. Just take Myles Garrett and be done with it.

I watched Trubinsky on Sat.very impressive performance. Spread offense, but a true pocket passer. If he can stay healthy,he'll shoot up the draft boards. This Kizer from ND,not very accurate and a big wind up.
Indecision may,or maynot,be my problem

They're still touting Lamar Jackson as a Heisman candidate front runner. (Louisville).
