His teams were all hype the last few years.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

Am I the only one surprised that Notre Dame is unranked? Even though they are 1-3?

Am I the only one surprised that Notre Dame is unranked? Even though they are 1-3? at the beginning of the year i would have been stunned, but i'm not now. their d is bad and they are having some leadership issues IMO

Am I the only one surprised that Notre Dame is unranked? Even though they are 1-3? Yes... No team should be ranked at 1-3... Doesn't matter how much talent you have... Especially after losing to duke....

It always seems ND gets props and love, no matter what. I would not be shocked if they were receiving votes.

Am I the only one surprised that Notre Dame is unranked? Even though they are 1-3? Maybe. They were over ranked at the beginning of the season. Truthfully, I'd love if "rankings" didn't happen until week 4 or 5.

Always think back to the year USC, Oklahoma, and Auburn went undefeated.
USC and OK were just fine, staying atop the rankings all season..
But Auburn (and Utah and Boise) had to climb the rankings just to even get considered..
Ironically Auburn was left out, after going undefeated in the SEC, because of a weak Strength of Schedule.
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

And offensive coordinator Cam Cameron (who was running an offense from 1994). Cameron failed because LSU has never cared about the quarterback position.

Is this your traditional "pimp an SEC QB?"
He makes idiotic decisions and just chucks it. I think you need to watch him before making comments. The guy looks great.

Here's your stereotypical SEC QB. There's not much else that needs to be said.

The Louisville/Clemson game should be epic. Man, what a great early-season game.
I am also very interested in the Wisconsin/TUN game.
And the Stanford/Washington game on Friday night is cool.

I am on the Chad Kelly train. That is the QB we need. The guy is going to be a very solid NFL QB, but we won't draft him. We will take some frail kid who lasts 3, injury riddled years.
I'm not sold on him. Man, he looks the part and he can make all the throws that wow you but some of the things he does just leave you scratching your head.

Mitch Trubisky of UNC is worth watching. He has the size, physical attributes and is improving every game. He also does a REALLY good job protecting the football.

Ejuan Price is the 2nd best defensive player in college football- https://youtu.be/oIqN25AT8PgAbsolute terror of the edge and a beast against the run. His fatal flaw is his height.

That'a actually a pretty decent analogy based on what I see. I've honestly never witnessed him being a "hot head" just wreckless with the football. Some coach is going to see him in shorts and think he's amazing and believe that he can coach that wrecklessness out of him... it's a pretty big gamble.

It's an effort to promote discussion. Nobody ever talks about OSU unless it's gameday or a day after / before. Nobody discusses other teams or recruiting. What would you like the discussion in this thread to be about?

And the NFL draft does not relate to college football? I find it humorous that you as a non-active poster on this thread wish to dictate the terms of discussion. Why? So you can ignore it for another 5 pages?

I hear what you are saying. I do think it is too early in the season to talk about mock drafts.
I have some suggestions on what to talk about. Of course, most posters don't seem too interested in the things that interest me, so there is that..........LOL..........but, you asked and I will give my opinion.
--Which teams are most likely to make the playoffs.
--Which players we should be watching.
--Strengths and weaknesses of conferences.
--Coaches on the rise.
--Rivalries.
--Sleeper teams and players.
--Best announcers in college football......I am only half joking.

Oh, and I meant no disrespect w/that post. I just think it is a bit early for mock drafts. I do think it is about time to start evaluating players, though.
Fair compromise?
