I hate our tax system, because it is so easy for the uber rich to pay very little in taxes.

Remember when the liberal bllionaire, whose name escapes me, who supported Obama, said that he was disgusted because paid a lower rate in taxes than his secretary ..... but he did so anyway? That guy wanted higher marginal rates on the super rich ,..... but, of course, that wouldn't have affected him anyway, because he didn't pay himself in wages.

People pay as little in taxes as they can. I know that I took every possible deduction I could on every tax return I have ever filed. If I could have paid $0, I would have. I bet that 95% of people in this country would.

That's why I want to see a complete overhaul of the tax system, with lower rates, and almost no deductions.

Trump interrupted Hillary 51 times during the debate.

I'd say that most of us raised our children better than that and that they would have been severely punished for such a continual lack of any type of manners in such a situation.

I would certainly hold a presidential candidate to a higher standard that a petulant child.

Get your story straight...He didn't pay less taxes than his secretary, he paid a lower tax percentage on income. And Warren Buffet admitted it was wrong while pledging most of his fortune to charity. I don't remember many, or any conservatives for that matter bringing that up or joining Buffet in his pledge to give back.

Congress poised to override Obama’s veto of 9/11 bill

The Senate on Wednesday voted to override President Obama’s veto of legislation that would allow 9/11 victims’ families to sue the Saudi Arabian government over its alleged support for the terrorists who carried out the attacks.

The vote was 97 to 1.

The House is expected to vote later in the day and if successful, it will be the first time Congress has overridden a veto during the Obama administration.

There's a lot more in there, but there are too many pictures and charts to embed on here.

The attendance stats at the candidates' rallies are a real eye opener. In August and September, Trump has held 55 rallies attended by 312,995 people. In that same time, Hillary has held 18 rallies attended by 12,070 people (about the same amount of people that had to be turned away due to space limitations from this one Trump event).

This actually reminds me about something-- I no longer think that the Shy Tory/Shy Trump factor is much of a consideration in this election. The idea behind that was that Donald Trump was an unpopular candidate in some places and that led people to play down their support for him and that would be reflected in the polls.

I do think there was some merit to that a while back, but Trump is so mainstream now and has done a great job in toning down the rhetoric. Many Trump supporters are obviously very passionate and the turnouts to his events have been impressive.

Try putting a Trump bumper sticker on your car and see how that goes for you. It ties right in with the PC world of the Liberal Left where you can't say that and you can't support him, or else!

Yeah better....Watch the flood gates open on other countries families suing the U.S. government and our military personnel next. That will be so much better right?

You're right, but that is kind of outside the scope of the Shy Tory/Shy Trump factor. I should have given some more context (or rather just let the idea die altogether...)

Basically that factor really just had to do with my opinion that earlier in the election season, Trump's numbers in the polls were underestimated because some people did not want to admit they were going to vote for him, even though they perhaps knew they were going to. I don't think that specific angle is much of a factor anymore (or maybe it is, who knows).

That doesn't mean that there aren't nasty people out there who will harass or even attack people for having different political views than their own. It also doesn't mean that the polls are necessarily accurate, just that I don't think they are off due to this one specific factor.

Hillary accused him of not paying taxes but he has not released his tax returns... so how does she know he doesn't pay any taxes?

Is this all based on his snipey comment that it makes him "smart" that people have accepted this to be true that he paid zero taxes?

Ron Paul and Bernie faced similar crowd issues, and they had to turn away people. This never resulted in a presidential win for them.

These candidates bring out a fringe minority who never feel represented.

or it just means those people that went to a trump rally have no jobs.

that's what the right always said about bernie rallies, anyway. just wondered if it worked both ways.

That's a good question. I would point out part of your question-- 'with everything being hacked these days'-- I suppose it is not much of a stretch to think that electronic voting machines that don't have a paper trail could be rigged. There's actually some pretty chilling testimony from a programmer named Clint Curtis who alleges to have written code to do exactly that. How much truth there is to that I really don't know.

Maybe someone else can give a more thorough explanation, whether it be from the vote counting logistics angle or the tech part of it.

man you guys are already making excuses for a loss?

seriously, it's sad y'all don't even realize it.

the debates are rigged, the election is rigged. already built in excuses.

i thought the ideology of personal accountability didn't make excuses for failure?

It could also be why the DNC felt it necessary to conspire against Bernie Sanders in the way that it did.

FWIW, I don't think having vastly bigger crowd turnouts necessarily translates to a win on election day. I do find it interesting regardless.

He's just cranky today. It's all good.

Election hacking/rigging could favor either side. Good programmers come in all types of political ideologies. They probably lean more toward the freedom/Libertarian side of things on average.

It's also hard to know how much of this is conspiracy theory level thinking and how much of it is a genuine concern. Given the stakes, I think it would be wise to err on the side of safety. I don't really know though. It's one of those topics I know just enough about to be dangerous.

Wake up and smell the coffee already there pilgrim, My Ruski pals have been doing most of the hacking lately and they seem to hate Hillary. So who would benefit from vote hacking? Think now, think hard. Ask Arch if you must.

How can someone call themselves an American yet pay no federal taxes? I think Donald Trump should not ask what his country can do for him, but what he can do for his country.

When the IRS tells you that you owe this much, you pay it, its the law! They tell rich guys they owe zero and that is what they pay, like good Americans should!

Tell me, when the IRS gives you a refund because you paid too much, do you say no thanks, Murica?

I don't know. Ask my ex. And any of the millions of people that get all of their tax back, PLUS thousands.

How can those people call themselves Americans. It's a quandary, isn't it?

Nah, it isn't.

I'll tell you what a quandary is: When people follow the IRS code and they still get bashed. Well, wait.......no, it's when a rich person follows the IRS tax code, and get bashed for doing so. As long as they have an R behind their name.

I know, I know, not even Lois Lerner got prosecuted for cheating and investigating conservative groups.

So I'm I supposed to believe that Trump out of the goodness of his heart is going to herald in a change that makes it so he suddenly has to start paying taxes?

lol back to the Tea Party stuff. Maybe if you don't want to be audited then don't associate yourself with THEE anti-tax event in history. Republicans want to stop and frisk black people for looking black, but don't want to be audited when they're anti-taxed? Rich. Let me be clear, both sides are in the wrong. We shouldn't stop and frisk and we shouldn't use the law as a tool to punish.

The quandary is the IRS. Straight up. Us leftists have been calling for the raising of taxes on the uber rich. The uber rich even believe it, as you proved by talking about Warren Buffet's tax rate. Even YTown brought it up a page later with all the hazy details still intact.

So why are we persecuted when we show this man and his peers have gamed the IRS system to allow for them to pay nothing while making so much? We're not just bashing him because he's paid $0 in taxes, but because politics have been so tied up with the uber rich, that they are legally allowed to. And people want to further this union? Disgusting.
