Yeah, I don't think it's as big a deal as swish is trying to make it out to be.

Every politician and their campaign look at polls to see what they've done that is trending well, and poor. They do more on the well, and less of the poor. And, they'll even completely change what they say based on polls, often times.

What's the point of sending a mass survey if you point the questions? Trump can't even do the scientific process right.

Except he can, and this is a PR move. This is classic Trump. Remember when Trump said that he could say some nasty things about Hillary but wouldn't? This is him doing that to a grander scale. He wants to keep the attacks general and murky. He knows how dangerous it could be to get into an attackument with Hillary. With his temper I think he knows how poorly that could go. Saying something he might privately regret. This is his way of still grilling her.

I was watching Bill Simmons a few weeks ago, him Rembert Browne and Jon Favreau were just making fun of how he'd go after Clinton. Saying he'd just yell over her "Vince Foster", and let's be real. That's what it'd be like. Btw Jon Favreau called Sean Hannity during the debate and Sean Hannity hung up on him. You guys should find the video, it's hysterical.

Do you see the words PROUD in there anywhere? Hell no Did he know he would make money yes did he make money yes. But did he say he was PROUD?

Also I don't see anybody complaining about people who buy or invest in the market. Look how many people have made billions, or even millions in the stock market. They buy low and sell high. I am sure Hillary has done the same thing in the stock market.

I think the point would not be the affairs of Bill or Donald. It would be more about The Steel Dragon claiming to be a champion of women after she berated, demeaned, slandered and name called the women who did her husband OR were raped by the man she chose to marry.

Talk about poor judgement.....married to a rapist. Go figure.

If Trump goes into Bill and Hillary's personal lives that would be a real low blow. It has nothing to do with you, I or anybody else for that matter. Their marriage and his extramarital affairs are their business. Also, Bill has already been tried in that court and it was two decades ago.

But, I wouldn't put it past Trump if he does go down that path because people would rather see him sling dirt than debate the issues that matter to you and I. Why? Because our lives are consumed with knowing other people's business and watching others live their lives. Plus, Trump can't debate real issues that he has no clue about.

Yup.

Like Trump paying no taxes. In the late 70's. For 2 years.

And Hillary stated that Trump has only released two tax returns - those 2. When, in fact........well, here, you read the article. (notice in reading that the 2 years he didn't pay were investigated, and legit.)

Trump may not be a great debater.

But hillary flat out lied when she said Trump has only ever released 2 tax returns and he paid no tax.

It was in the late 70's, first of all. He released 5, secondly.

We don't know a lot about Trump's tax situation, a fact exacerbated by his unwillingness to release his full tax returns.

^ that was from your own link.

So they came up with a conclusion with half evidence.

Also, why won't you comment on what he said HIMSELF when Clinton made the claim to his face about not paying taxes?

What he say? Something like "that makes me smart".

So I find it funny how you're trying to use an article in may about something he just admitted to on live TV Monday night.

So who should we believe? The article or him?

Is he lying or the article?

Either way, you're only looking foolish defending it. Congrats.

Is politfact biased? I don't know.

What hillary actually said was Trump has only released 2 tax returns. That's false.

She also said he paid no taxes. That is true, for those 2 years.

The article showed he actually released 5 back in the 70's.

What he said, about those 2 years of not paying taxes, was "that makes me smart". Dude, read. He never said he never pays taxes.

He was investigated then, and found completely legit.

How many times has he been audited? I don't know, but it's quite a few times. Don't you think the clinton campaign would've been able to tell us if he was found negligent? Even one time?

Yes, the article was from may of this year. And yes, Trumps comment was this week. And yes, his comment was about the 2 years hillary was referencing. Open your mind.

Foolish, me? Nah. It's apparent you're having trouble wrapping your head around the facts, but you keep on going.

Now, I will say, he is enabling this by not releasing his tax returns.

And, I'll try one last time to explain this to you: IF Trump has cheated the tax code, he should pay the penalty. If he has not cheated on his taxes, what's the big deal?

And I'll further add that if he had cheated, I'm sure the clinton campaign would've brought that up.

Sorry swish, your problem isn't with Trump, it's with the tax code.

No, its with trump. Please stop attempting to tell me who I have a problem with.

Nobody said anything about if the article is biased or not. That's you're own ideas. Not mine.

Again, you're defending really hard a guy you said you aren't voting for. But whatever.

Trump didn't say she was lying about the claim during the debate. He didn't even hint at it.

Again, "that makes me smart" his words.

So I'm going to go with what comes out of Trumps own mouth. You can continue defending that if you want. Whatever floats your boat.

Trump is gonna set himself up for massive failure if he thinks going after bill cheating is gonna help him.

That argument doesn't even work with all conservatives. Just trump supporters.

Dude, I am scratching my head trying to figure out why Trump is getting hammered for following the laws the IRS laid out. Can you explain that to me? He was investigated. The tax returns were legit. And it happened a long time ago.

My question about politifact - I guess I didn't state it that way - but I was asking "IS politifact biased?"

I don't know.

As to the rest of your post, no, I didn't vote for Trump in the Ohio vote.

Take it as me defending trump if you want, but it's more defending EVERYONE that uses the IRS tax code and laws. Trump was investigated and his returns, all 5 of them from the 70's, were found legit.

Hillary didn't lie during the debate. There WERE 2 years in which Trump didn't pay fed. tax. Legit.

Why would he call her a liar for stating the truth? The guy lost money in those 2 years. Who pays taxes on a loss of income?

Now, hillary has lied about Trump only releasing 2 tax returns.

I realize you don't like me. Despise is one word you've used. But, if I were clem, or pdx, or lurker, etc, laying out the exact same facts, you'd accept them as the facts that they are.

Trump is getting hammered because:

1. He is dodging the request to release his returns.
2. When Clinton suggested he had not paid Federal Tax he chose not to be silent...he confidently said into the mic "because I'm smart".
3. He is running for President.

Regarding Hillary and the issue of Bill's affairs:

1. Bill Clinton's affairs have nothing to do with Hillary's Presidency.
2. Her marital issues are none of our business.
3. Her husband's past affairs have been made public and are well documented and he has already faced that court/judge.

I'll go with want trump says out of his own mouth. he's a trustworthy guy...right?

Hilliarys marital issues are 100% our business when it concerns her cheating. Her moral code (and I say that loosely because she has none) is important to know.

so just so we're clear, you're holding trump to the same standard, right?

since now we got posters talking about being fair and all, i just want to make sure.

if clintons marriage is free game, than that goes for trump, yes?

Your first 1,2,3

1. Yes, he is.
2. He was referring to the 2 years that hillary was referring to. And it was legit, as he was investigated. Why can't people understand that???
3. Yes, he's running for president.

Your last 1,2,3.
1. Correct. I agree. Just as Trumps 2 years of not paying taxes, having been investigated and found legit, have no bearing on anything, either.
2. Correct. Agreed. Neither do Trumps.
3. Correct. Agreed.

I certainly hope neither of them wade into the marital cesspool. Both have had issues, and none of them matter to the running of this country.

But again, why are people harping about him paying no taxes for 2 different years, back in the 70's, when he was investigated and his income (loss) was found to be legit. Trumps statement "no, that makes me smart", was absolutely referencing exactly what hillary was referencing.

Now, if you were to say he was dumb, because he lost money those years, okay. I can go with that.

Its free game if involves his actions. I dont really care what he has done though. I already think he is shallow for having trophy wives.

My response was mainly to pdx who seems to think that morals dont matter.
