Clemson would be tougher for us because of their corners and ability to cover in space. They also love to hit. That's not a good matchup scheme wise for us. Louisville would be easy to stop. Jackson doesn't get punished for bad throws. Our secondary would feast on some of his passes. We also have the linebackers and athletes to track him down.

Wow. I completely disagree. We would get a ton of turnovers against Clemson, but Jackson's legs would kill us. Plus, Louisville pressures the qb better.

Both would be tough matchups, but Lamar Jackson scrambling is a somewhat scary thought.

He's pretty electric with the ball and has a knack for avoiding the big hit.

Tough loss for Louisville, but that was a great game.

I can't believe I am saying this, but I think Ohio State is the best team in the land.

JT Barrett looks as good as any QB in the land right now. He's throwing on time and in stride. Taking care of the ball. He's super poised in the pocket. Producing points and yards at a fast clip. He's got the talent around him to make defenses pay.
The kid has a hot hand right now.

I kind of thought JT looked off on some throws.

He does do a great job of operating the offense, and did have some nice throws, too.

I'm not trying to replace him, I just remember thinking he left yards on the field a couple times throughout the game. I know that no one is perfect, but that doesn't stop me from sub-consciously expecting perfection.

Indiana beats MSU?? yikes

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

the louisville/clemson game was entertaining, but very chippy and sloppy

figured the outcome would be what it was, just strange how it got there

I think they probably are. Both Wisconsin and Michigan look to be tough. Those will be tough tests.

as of now, the playoff would be

Alabama vs Michigan
OSU vs Clemson

Pretty big boys there (obviously, this will change)

So Clemson jumped UM, good. I see that school in Central Michigan is still getting that one first place vote.

I don't assume both OSU and UM will make the Top 4 by seasons end, unless the loser of that game only has the one loss, etc etc..

My question is, if they are both in the Top 4, would the committee prefer to match them up in the first round, or split them up? I can only assume that would influence the rankings..

Yeah, it would never work out that way where they both make it ... especially since they play each other so late. IMO that will turn into a de-facto play in game.

I think Louisville/Washington/Houston will be the 4th team

Especially since only one can even reach the B10 championship game, let alone win it.

For arguments sake..

UM and OSU are both undefeated.

UM loses a close game IN Columbus.

OSU walks through the B10 Title game and is #1 or #2.

Alabama will most likely be involved.

Someone from the ACC (Clemson/Louisville) will be up there..

Are you going to put a Pac12 or Big12 Chanp, that most likely has 1 loss as well, over a team who's Oonly loss is to a Top 4 team?

As long as OSU isn't #1, I could see them adding UM as a #4 in that scenario. Meaning, they don't want to see a UM/OSU rematch in a first round playoff game. It would have to be in the title game, assuming they even want that as well.

I see 3 slots as being pretty well set

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. OSU/Michigan

the 4th will come down to weird stuff

That is a pretty good argument.

It will be moot if either Houston or Washington goes undefeated.

If not, TUN would have a good argument, but I don't really trust the committee to leave out inferior Pac 12 and Big 12 teams.

That's how I feel absolutely to it... If OSU or UM only has that one loss the. I could see them getting in if houston or Washington loses... If both are undefeated then I think big ten only gets one team in... What will really screw things up a bit is if Wisconsin or Nebraska wins the girl tn championship over an undefeated UM or OSU... Could make things interesting... Still a lot of football left..

I'd disagree that Kaaya is better. At this point, I don't really want either, though. That's pretty much just first impression. I've watched a couple cutups of both, but haven't really dug in.

Kizer has been terrible throwing the ball in this rain. What's weird is that a few years ago his HS team played my son's in a downpour like this and he killed us through the air. It was night time and a lot colder, too.
