Please Indians. Don't give me a heart attack like the Cavs did.

now bring on... the dodgers? I'm sort of hoping it's the Dodgers. I'd sort of feel bad if we beat the Cubs. (just a tad anyway) I'd feel kinda sick if it was the Cubs we beat. We KNOW how Cubs fans feel. It doesn't matter who we beat, as long as we beat them.

We KNOW how Cubs fans feel. I dunno, Chicago fans have had the Bears and the Bulls even if Cubs fans don't root for the White Sox so... Bring 'em on-whoever they be!

Also,
Please Indians. Don't give me a heart attack like the Cavs did. Base Ball is much slower than the other major sports. At most your blood pressure will get up a bit.

Glad I watched the playoffs. I really enjoyed watching the Tribe. They are fun to watch. Selfless players. Team first guys. Genius manager.
--Miller deserved the MVP. Can't believe we traded for him during the year. That seems so different than past Indian teams.
--Lindor is so fun to watch. Love that guy. He could have been MVP, too.
--Coco Crisp was important to the Tribe in this series.
--Kipnis is a guy you win with.
--The key to the Tribe seems to be getting the lead. That bullpen is awesome and Tito handles them magnificently.
--Perez impressed me w/his handling of the pitchers.
Again, glad I started watching again. I like small ball and I guess that is mostly a thing of the past, but it was still fun.

The Tribe scored 11 runs in 5 games. (ave = 2.2 runs per game)
If a team averaged 2.2 runs per game for a whole season, they'd lose 130 games.
Minnesota averaged scoring twice that in 2016 (Twins averaged over 4.4 runs per game). And the Twins lost 103 games.
But somehow the Tribe wins 4 out of 5.
Uncanny.

Great recap. You summed up all the points as to why I enjoyed the 20 games I watched this summer.
This is the team to root for. Small market with budget level salary to take on two giant payrolls. I love this team.

Our bullpen is just so incredible. Man, when we get a 3 run lead, well ...... I think that we lost only 1 game all year when we got to a 3 run lead. This bullpen of ours is just ridiculous. Otero, Shaw, Miller, and Allen. Heck, McAllistar and Manship have been effective too. Now we see young Mr. Merritt come in and take a start. He rolled. He was outstanding, even if he wasn't a rookie. I love this team. They never give up. Never. It doesn't matter what the circumstances are. Lose a starter in the 1st inning? No problem, we'll just ride the bullpen to a victory. This team plays so incredibly well as a team. They really are better than the sum of their parts. Let's go Tribe! Just 4 more wins!

I don't remember who said it .... but one of the Cleveland Indians coaches, or front office people, said soomthing like: we gave up a whole lot for Miller, and we may have stolen him anyway. How true is that?

Our farm system isn't completely devastated either since we avoided the Lucroy deal.
I've heard rumors that Salazar might be full go. Maybe have him pitch game 3?

Why are these games so stinking early!?!?!? i was wondering that too, you would think it being ALCS they'd want prime time coverage. I turned the tv on just in time to see the celebration.. Thankfully I assume that ther World Series will be on later

This team is absolutely incredible. Amazing job by Merritt to come to go 4.1 scoreless innings to get to the bullpen. Tito pushed all the right buttons and managed the team perfectly. Everyone contributed in some way to help the team win. Total team effort. Have to give a nod to the FO for making the necessary moves. Outstanding job by Chernoff and Antonetti. Miller is just absolutely ridiculous. Lindor is a superstar. Kip keeps everyone loose. Can't say enough good things about this team. Love them! Rocket, I'm sure got the pre-sale offer on the WS tickets. Hopefully, you snagged some tickets. I bought tickets for games 1, 2 and 6 of the WS during the pre-sale. It's going to be rocking up there. Hope you can make it back in town for the Series! Go Tribe!!!!

In the post game, Pedro mentioned the looks in our dugout in '99 when he came on to pitch the last 5 innings of game 5 to close the series. He said he knew he owned us. He said he saw the same looks on the Jays when Niller came in. They knew there was no chance.

Totally worth whatever we paid for him... like i said earlier, there isn't a team in the playoffs that have a weapon like miller...it always looks like the only reason he doesn't get a strike is because he doesn't want to..just wants to lull the batter to sleep and then that backdoor slider puts them on a poster

despite the odds, and maybe the adversity made the team stronger, who knows..but imagine if you will if we were 100% healthy, we'd have cookie, danny and bauer back, we'd have brantley instead of naquinn, and Gomes and Perez could be keeping each other fresh.. thats what makes all this all the more incredible, even add in the 2 busted for PEDs who were actually productive for us

Naquin plays center and Brantley plays left. I think if Brantley is healthy, Ramirez does not get the opportunity he had this year. JRam basically replaced Brantley's production.

Jram is an infielder....Brantley also plays center..Naquin provided little in the playoffs.. Jram didn't replace anything from Brantley, Jram was going to play regardless after they got rid of Uribe's corpse. You would have had Coco, Guyer, Davis, Smooth, and Lonnie rotating. I think Naquin is going to get better and better, just saying having your best offensive player in the lineup would be helpful and taken some pressure off of Naquin to perform

I've booked my flight so I'm in town Tuesday and Wednesday!!! Anyone with any recommendations on the best way to buy a ticket let me know! I've seen $670 for standing room only, and that's a non starter, hoping seats with be available cheaper.
Go tribe.

Wow!! This is incredible.
This team this year feels different. I think they are built in a way the 95 and 97 teams weren't. They've faced adversity. They've gone through several roster changes and still keep chugging along. If someone told me we would be without Brantley, lose Carrasco and Salazar, trade for an "over the hill" Coco Crisp that we would be headed to the World Series, I would have laughed in their face. I believe....

Merritt didn't shake in his boots while shutting down Jays to help win the ALCS - CBSSports.com http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/merrit...p-win-the-alcs/TORONTO -- It figured to be a blowout. The powerful Blue Jays lineup had finally snapped out of its ALCS-long slump in Game 4, setting up a Game 5 matchup with Indians rookie left-hander Ryan Merritt. The 24-year-old southpaw had made exactly one major league start coming into Wednesday's game. His fastball tops out at 87 mph. He hadn't even looked all that impressive at Triple-A Columbus this year, allowing 156 hits and striking out just 92 batters in 143 1/3 innings, with a 3.70 ERA. Jose Bautista got an early start on his 36th-birthday steak dinner, tossing some red meat to reporters by mocking his Game 5 opponent. "Not having seen him is something that could go either way," Bautista said of Merritt following Toronto's Game 4 win Tuesday. "But with our experience in our lineup I'm pretty sure he's going to be shaking in his boots more than we are. I like where we're at."
Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
John 14:19 Jesus said: Because I live, you also will live.
