I wonder if they are going to shift game times? Cavs are slated for 8pm start, where we raise the banner. Do they push the Indians start to 5? Or maybe shift the Cavs to 5, and the Indians to 8? It's going to be nuts downtown!

I think Francona has introduced a new concept/strategy to Major League Baseball:

Not allowing batters to get focused in on an individual pitcher during the game.

I think after two or three at bats against the same pitcher, the batter can better “see” the ball motion as the ball comes to the plate off of the pitcher’s hand.

The upshot of course being a focus on bullpen strength. Complete games will become even rarer. I'd say virtually non-existent in the post-season. (with a few exceptions)

Man Chicago has a tendency to make a lot of errors.

Cleveland? Through 8 games? ZERO!

defense, pitching, timely hitting

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Jeudy is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Tillman is flanked out wide to the right. Judkins and Ford are split in the backfield as Flacco takes the snap ... Here we go."

It's not a big deal, but the Tribe had one error. I think it was Shaw who threw the ball wide of first base on a chopper between the mound and 3rd base.

kind of a bummer that the cavs/indians both play tuesday. the MLB will definitely not alter the game time, but maybe the NBA would move it up (even an hour?)

Hard for the other team to win if you have good pitching and a solid D.

Toronto came off as a bunch of arrogant jerks.

Bautista, Donaldson, Encarnacion...

Man, I loved it when Encarnacion and Donaldson hit into those rally killing double plays. I admit I was scared.

They are releasing limited tickets tomorrow at 10 am sharp!

Probably be gone in about 30 seconds.

Thanks - I saw and have signed on and am waiting for 10.00! Odds are tiny, but I'll try!

I don't look at it as a bummer because I am clearly watching Game 1 of the World Series. Furthermore, Cleveland is going to be on fire on a national scale.

1. The Ring Ceremony for the World Champion Cavaliers
2. Game 1 of the World Series.
3. ESPN or TBS (perhaps both) will be live in Cleveland broadcasting Sportscenter, the pre-game (or something like that)
4. I believe there will be a famous muscian/rapper (DJ Khalifa?? or something) performing at the Plaza in between both venues before the games.

Downtown Cleveland will be the focus of the sports world on this day. I love that. As Mike & Mike correctly stated this morning...Cleveland is the epicenter of sports right now. I'm soaking this all up! thumbsup

Yeah, just trying to enjoy this right now. I still think the Cubs are a team of destiny and they'll eventually figure it out, but I'm just enjoying this run.

I've said it a thousand times, "I just want to see one title in Cleveland in my lifetime." Well, I did. So I can't ask for another so soon after the first.

Plus, since I live in Chicago and most of my wife's family and our friends are Cubs fans. It won't be a comfortable series for us. I'll need to be prepared to be a good sport if the Cubs win and an even better sport if the Indians win. Like, I don't think I can sport any Tribe championship gear in front of them for a while. Although, I doubt they would care about my feelings if the Cubs won.

I just don't want to be a big Richard in their eyes. How would you react if an in-law or friend walked into a party with Marlins gear on for the holidays back in 1997? I have to play it smart in that case.

there's no doubt about that ... and I agree. I just wish they'd move the cavs up an hour so I could watch the ring ceremony.

I won't turn off the WS once.

Fun week ahead

Is anyone worried about the lay off?
I'm not sure but I believe that last few team's that clinched early all lost.

This team actually needs the rest (Salazar and Bauer specifically).

Plus, it's a good problem to have.

If the Cubs/Dodgers series goes long, well it's already guaranteed to go 6, it may upset their rotation to our advantage. You never know.

I thought Ernie Johnson was on the okay side of bad.

Ron Darling is a mush mouth.

Cal Ripken should have just stuck with being a legendary shortstop. His commentary was painful, mostly irrelevant and biased toward whoever we were playing.

Although, I hate Joe Buck.

This is perfect.

I want Chicago in 7. They get 1 day off.

We get to set our rotation any way we want. Pen arms are rested.
