How in the hell did this team lose to Penn St?

Penn State is actually a really solid team right now. They will probably finish 10-2. They also had fluky ish happen.

What happens with the Big Ten East if PSU wins out, OSU wins out & Michigan wins out except the OSU game? Wouldn't that be a threeway tie with each team bearing one of the other?

big ten championship tie breaker

Looks like this is the way it goes down;

b) If three or more teams are tied, steps 1 through 6 will be followed until a determination is made. If only two teams remain tied after any step, the winner of the game between the two tied teams shall be the representative.
1. The records of the three tied teams will be compared against each other.
2. The records of the three tied teams will be compared within their division.
3. The records of the three teams will be compared against the next highest placed teams in their division in order of finish (4, 5, 6, and 7).
4. The records of the three teams will be compared against all common conference opponents.
5. The team with the best overall winning percentage [excluding exempted games] shall be the representative.
6. The representative will be chosen by random draw.

OSU gets in because of Penn State having a OOC loss and they get in over Michigan.

Fun fact because of this weeks losses.

When next weeks polls come out, OSU will have faced 3 top 10 teams on the road in Oklahoma, Wisconsin, and Penn State.

Here's a very real possibility of what our opponents records might look like at the end of the year:

Oklahoma= 10-2
Wisconsin= 10-2
Penn State= 10-2
Nebraska= 10-2
Michigan= 11-1

That was a fun game to watch.

--Our offense looked like a completely different unit than what we've seen the last few weeks.

--Getting Samuel the ball early and often is huge for us.

--Noah Brown is an excellent blocker. He will have a future in the NFL.

--I don't like Wilson returning punts. Never want to see him back there again.

--We have a lot of depth on the d-line. A lot of young guys who have speed and strength. And Lewis is studding out.

--Hubbard is making himself some money. He is becoming a very good player.

--Our secondary is excellent. Arnette and Webb scare me at times, but the other guys are outstanding.

--We win out and we're in the playoffs.

If that offense shows up against Michigan we'll have a chance to beat them... I still think Michigan has looked like the better/more consistent team this year... But we can be explosive at times...

Just curious, Vers.... Are you stating that as a fact or what you think will happen? Either way, I hope that statement holds true.

I'm really glad that Tommy Armstrong was okay after that little scare. I can't imagine how terrifying it would be to have to go through that whole experience of being placed on a back board and having your uniform cut off of you.

Buckeye fans showed their true colors by cheering for the kid when they took him off and when he came back on the sidelines. Nothing but class. Made me proud to be OSU fan.

I think it is pretty much a given, as long as scUM wins out and we beat TSUN.

Not a fact. Sorry.

However, almost everyone who reports on such things is saying that if either Ohio State or TUN goes undefeated the rest of the way, they are in. Many are even saying Wisconsin can make it if they win out.

This sounds crazy, but we gotta hope for that TUN to win the rest of the games and then lose to us.

While it's not a fact, if Michigan wins out, they are in, no doubt. If michigan wins all but the OSU game (AND osu wins out), I see no way OSU isn't in the top 4.

A&M was ranked at #7 in both the AP and coaches poll and fell to #10 in the AP and to #11 in the coaches.

the playoff committee ranked them at #4 but their new rankings won't be released until Tuesday

I think the whole country wants that. It'll essentially be a playoff atmosphere.

Actually, it be the biggest game between them since they last played when they were #1 vs. #2. That was 2011?

No prob!

McCall is going to be a super star for us, but he's really skinny. He needs to add some muscle before we use him on offense.

Glad it's no man match ups... I can barely do Thursday night games and only watch the if it's a major match up.... I love football but being married with kids I have to pick and choose when I watch games now and don't typically watch any in week nights any more..
