Why are you explaining the stat thing to me? Didn't you read what I wrote? I could have sworn I spoke to how stats can be a tool and how they can be manipulated. Don't paint a picture of my opinion that isn't true.
In regards to the genesis of the dumb-ass statement......
Stats are for losers, I would imagine it had more to do w/protecting a certain QB who consistently put up terrible stats than it had to do w/anything else. *L*
Sorry man, it's a dumb phrase whether you agree w/it or not. Anyone who doesn't use all available knowledge is limiting their ability to learn. It's stupid to ignore or suppress information. And that dumb ass phrase is intended to do just that. The key isn't in eliminating information......instead, the key is in be able to interpret the information and make sound decisions from it. Oh, and btw......my "eyes" told me that Charlie is a better QB than Anderson. The stats did not refute that opinion.
You really don't see what this argument is all about, do you? Allow me to explain it.LOL. Diam is upset because I said that BQ needs to sit this year and work on parts of his game, thus the references to Smelly and me being up Charlie's ass.
Kelly is gone and he's history in my mind. In regards to Frye.......I wouldn't even say I am a big supporter. I have clearly admitted he has flaws in his game and that he has some unanswered questions. I only defend him....just as I do w/Rac....because the people that are attacking them are not fighting fair, and NOT because I think either one is that good.
And for the record, I am not down on BQ. I just think it would behoove him and the team to sit back and learn more about the pro game. I want to see him work on his mechanics and study defenses and how an offense can adjust to beat particular defenses. I've seen some flaws in his game and it's pretty obvious that the rest of the NFL did too.
I also want the rest of the offense to use this year to grow, gain some continuity and confidence, and
then put BQ in there next year. I want to give him the
best possible chance to succeed. Yet somehow, Diam thinks that line of thinking is an insult to BQ, Charlie Weis, and Diam himself.
