Pitt is quietly having a great season. They've already beaten the #4 and #8 ranked teams in the CFP. They lost 45-38 on the road to the #11 CFP team, by 1 @ UNC, by 3 vs then-#25 Va Tech, and had one stinker vs Miami. That's pretty strong. http://www.espn.com/college-football/team/_/id/221/pittsburgh-panthers

The Panthers sure are fun to watch. They average 37.6 points per game.

I'm not sure, but I can think Wisconsin will be a favorite against Penn St if it plays out that way.

My best guess, this is how everything finishes,
1. Alabama 2. Ohio State 3. Clemson 4. Wisconsin

yeah, this has the set up for 2 big ten teams to make it IMO.
Alabama Ohio State Clemson PSU/Wisconsin
Louisville/Washington are out IMO
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

if OSU loses to Michigan, Michigan takes the 3 slot, Clemson up to 2, OSU out

j/c...
If Ohio State wins out they make the the playoffs. It doesn't matter what PSU or Wisconsin do. Ohio State will be in. They will have finished the season with a win against a top 3 team.
Most importantly though, it's all about the money! Ohio State will bring in the sponsors, increase ad revenue etc... The bottom line is they are a much, much bigger draw than PSU.
There is just too much money too lose, for the committee to keep them out of the playoffs should they win out.

PSU will win out. Rutgers is the Cleveland Browns of the Big 10. And MSU ... the parallel to last year is too much. Like this year, we did not take care of business last year against MSU. And we needed a crappy PSU team to clean up our mess and beat MSU for us to make the Big 10 championship. This year, same story but switch MSU and PSU. If we win out, we stay at number 2 (I think). I do not see anyone jumping us, considering our 1 loss is against a top 10 team and we took care of Michigan, Wisconsin, Oklahoma and Nebraska. The committee does not need an excuse to keep us in the top 4, but will need a reason not to. We win out, there is no reason not to.

I feel OSU is in if they win out, but next weekend is gonna be an absolute dog fight until the end. After Sparty it just gets harder and harder.

I think if it is close at all the PSU is out. I just think the NCAA wants to avoid all the scandal talk that will become so prevalent if they get it. It's just too soon.
So unless PSU wins out including a decisive win vs Wisconsin AND Washington loses AND either Clemson or Louisville losses then they don't get in. Even then, I could see them taking WV over them if WV and Ohio State or Michigan win out.

Recruiting update:
Antjuan Simmons looks like he will decommit. He was one of our lowest ranked kids, I think he can play, but he's not a horrible loss.
We are still looking at landing Bubba Bolden, Jeffrey Okudah, Baron Browning, Jaylen Harris, and Jay Tufele. I still won't rule out Marvin Wilson. Thayer Munford is a name to remember too.

Expect awful JT Barrett this weekend. 30 mph winds with rain, cold, and possible snow in East Lansing.

Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

We need a big defensive stop right now or we could be on the wrong side of the win column this week.

Nice pitch and catch on that play. I do think that we are passing too much with the conditions being the way they are, though.

Right now the wind is at our backs. Probably see more rushing plays in the second quarter.
