Now 0-11 staring at 0-12.

The good news:

1. We only have 5 games left
2. The Giants have played close games this season

The bad news:

1. Our talent
2. Our culture of losing, regardless of circumstance


Can we nip them?

The giants defense is 16th overall, 20th in pass defense.

So maybe there's something there. McCown has the arm to make the throws, but not the accuracy. Also, he's good for giving a defense at least 3 opportunities for a pick.

The giants have 10 ints on the season so far.

But will our own defense hold up? We did really good against the steelers, as far as allowing points, so.....there's a chance, but probably not.

The Browns are 7 point dawgs.

In a Universe not far from here, 7 point underdawgs win:

7 points * 3.33% = 23%

23% + 50% = 73% (7 point favorites in NFL regular season games win 73% of the time.)

Browns have a 27% chance of winning. (about 1 out of 4)

I've passed final exams with lower rates.

I expect Hogan to finish the game after McCown gets beaten like a rag doll.

On a side note, tickets for this game are going for $7 a ticket on StubHub. It actually costs more to go to a High School football than our professional football team's game.

There is zero chance we win.

It wouldn't surprise me if we didn't get our first win under this regime until well into next year...likely the second half of the season.

After 0-16, this off-season means everything. If any of the following happens, there is no hope for this franchise:

--They trade down on any of the first four picks
--They don't sign Pryor
--They don't sign Collins and elect not to tag him
--They go into next season with RG3 as the starter
--They don't sign at least two key FAs (they must be active in FA)
--They don't hire mac as a consultant

Using his own definition, could this be considered as the FO bringing in someone with football experience?

Hey buddy.. I have to say I really don't care, I'm not saying that in a negative or boo hoo way..

I really can't handle seeing Josh McCown under center again..I do appreciate his toughness...but that is it.

What scares me is we get one win under Josh or RG3 and then we have our guy crap starts again... Then we see the same old crap again next season..

My good buddy Columbus who I sit with and tailgate with isn't going and doesn't even post his tailgate thread anymore.

I'm giving up the rest of my season tickets that I paid for,, I never ever thought I would do that.. I tell myself..why spend another dollar to go to a worthless game.

I don't even see my other very good friend Peen up at the games anymore..It's sad.. Most of us have been tailgating together for over 10 years... Now it's a ghost town.

I love that fans still have the heart..and I hope some will always keep it alive..

I'm not giving up or hating on this team.. because I know you can't win in the situation this team is in..

I still have hope and will renew my season tickets along with Columbus and Peen next season... But I really don't care if they win this season...

This season needs to end...and the new hope needs to start in the up coming draft... I'm not going to say anything on that until draft day...no use creating a positive or negative view until we see the players drafted..

I think I have once again rambled on and didn't talk real x and o's football... Just a bummed out fan..who doesn't want to add anything to make it worse...

Everyone on this board is special..whether we agree or disagree...we speak out towards each other with passion..even if it's with insult... We take our passion for this team with extreme heart...

If it wasn't for all of our opinions ..it would be a boring board..

First of all...........it saddens me that great fans like you have become so disinterested. I am not saddened by your actions, but because the ownership and FO has made the Browns so terrible. We have a great fan base and you are a part of that. It's sad that guys like you aren't rewarded w/at least a competitive team.

Even though we suck, I would still make the thread each week. The reason I stopped making the thread is that there are several posters [Deputy,Memphis, VAmbo, arch, Willie] that derailed the thread every week and turned it into a series of personal attacks. The mods let them get away w/that nonsense and I just got sick of investing time into trying to post thoughtful football talk only to have it ruined by guys w/a big time agenda and listening to all their insults and then seeing how they all "like" each others' insults.

There always have been a bashing of insults on this / and original board... Man 10 years ago was crazy..

I don't like seeing it and it has kept me away from here. But it's always going to happen unfortunately. Browns fan against Browns fan..I don't even think winning a SuperBowl will help with that.
