Obviously the east is weak, but I don't think this can be analyzed enough. Lebron has been to the finals 6 straight years in a row. How many more appearances will he have with us?
Just think about that when you watch the Browns and how much of a struggle it is to make it to a championship at ANY level. There's a very real chance he will have lead the Cavs to 5+ NBA Finals when his career is over. That's mind boggling.
Lebron bringing a title home to cleveland is one of the very few great things that happened this year.
“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”
The Indians went to extras of game 7 of an epic World Series, despite injuries that would have knocked most teams out in the 1st round.
The Lake Erie Monsters won their championship.
Ohio State is playing in the BCS.
Youngstown State is playing for the National Championship.
A Clevelander, Stipe Miocic, won the MMA Heavyweight Championship.
Yeah, the Browns did a tear-down and rebuild from the dirt up ...... but the rest of the teams in the area/state have done really well.
One non sports great thing was Cleveland hosting the Republican National Convention. (and I would have said the same if the Dems would have held theirs here) That's a prestigious event for a city.
Overall, I think that Cleveland has a pretty good year.

Any year that has a Cleveland championship, is a "very good year".
Maybe this is a thing too .....
The Cavaliers took the Warriors to game 6, in the 2015 Finals, despite missing both Love and Irving.
Then they won it all in 2016.
The Indians took the Cubs to extras in game 7 of the World Series, despite missing their best player and 2 of their top 3 pitchers.
Could it be that the Tribe will follow the Cavaliers?

Cavs and warriors playing like this is a finals game. Excellent game so far!!!

Iggy is REALLY bad on offense this year. Holy crap.
yep, age caught him
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."
Jefferson already yammed it on KD, now he just did it again on Klay

That timeout benefited Golden State. They were allowed an illegal substitution and were given extra time added onto the game clock.
Van Gundy overreacted like an idiot.
Van Gundy is the biggest tool in any sport announcing...shouldn't even be employed

Cavs said, oh look you got a shiny new toy.. still isn't as good as ours, even without the 4th wheel, oh and Draymond...here's a nut sandwich courtesy of LBJ, Merry Christmas.. Just about anything that could have gone right this xmas for cleveland fans has happened.. Win or lose, that was an amazing game to watch

--They are very talented, but I think we are mentally tougher.
--I wonder how much more rope the NBA is going to give Green? The guy should have had 3 more technical fouls. It's ridiculous. I know he is a star, but they should reign him in. It's not a good look for the league.
--Golden State whined a lot all game. I am NOT one to complain about officiating, but it seems like the constant complaining got the ears of the refs and they were ignoring quite a few calls.
--Kyrie has really evolved as a player. He is turning into an assassin. I have been critical of him, but the guy is deadly. I am impressed.
--Need to keep Love out of foul trouble and he has to shoot more against GS.
--LeBron was LeBron.
--TT is a tough match-up for the Warriors. Get him on the floor more in the 4th.
--I like Frye's shooting ability, but he is pretty soft.
--Liggens really gets after it defensively. He is in your face the entire game. I hated playing against guys like that. I'm sure Stef did, too. LOL
--We were all yelling, standing, clapping for much of the end of the game. The neighbors probably thought we were nuts. They could be right.
I just want to remind the board that yesterday, Curry had to sit on the bench because Kerr didn't trust the unanimous MVP to guard Kyrie in crunch time.
And it didn't matter.

The biggest thing with Kyrie is he realized he can make things happen by getting his teammates shots too, and with that loosens up driving lanes for him too because they have to defend weakside cutters. Kyrie is the best scoring PG in the league. Noone has the full repertoire he has when it comes to handles, getting and finishing to the rim, mid range and long ball, not to mention his propensity to hit the pressure shots.
