j/c...
I thought Kessler did a good job in his rookie season. The kid has potential and must develop...nobody can predict that development. If he doesn't make it - it will not have anything to do with his arm strength. No he doesn't have a gun but its not a powder puff throw either.
RG3 missed 26 games or more before his with only a 3 qtr start in there. His first game was awful and a lot of rust. His 2nd game was an improvement. I would like to see him a little more accurate. Our WRs aren't bad but their route running hasn't been good of late. I think he will be here next season and probably the starter, I don't expect McCown to make the cut...hopefully we can get a pick for him prior to cutting him
But I would like to see these last two games on what he can improve on.
What nobody has mentioned...maybe I missed it as I didn't read all the posts. Is that these two games and the next two have been in terrible weather...cold winds some of the toughest throwing conditions...also not so great for the WRs as well.

If you don't want your opinions challenged, don't post them. Lol, right. I actually look forward to actual football discussion of MY statements and opinions as opposed to the opinions fabricated for me. I don't think Hue hurt Cody. Um...that's great! But I NEVER said Hue hurt Cody. YOU are saying that NOT me. In fact, I think he helped mask Cody's deficiencies w/brilliant play selection. After the league caught up, there wasn't much left to do other than "take what the defense is giving you." I see the exact opposite. Kody is a very efficient passer in the short to intermediate range. Hue/Pep were forcing the deep ball/vertical game. They admitted it. And it clearly showed in the playcalling. And playcalling isn't all or none prop like you imply when you say: After the league caught up, there wasn't much left to do other than "take what the defense is giving you. Defenses were playing a lot of Cover 1 man but that doesn't mean the only thing you can do is throw vertical go routes and deep comebacks. Playcalling discussion cannot be drilled down to I/O soundbites. (hence an entire thread on nothing but Cover-1 man and playcalling options) But since since you're already doing it.... I would say that Hue/Pep emphasis on pushing the ball vertically downfield decreased the ability to sustain offense. For example they got away from Kody's bread and butter short passing concepts like the screens, RB checkdowns that we saw at the start of the Bill games. I also think the that RGIII wasn't "rushed" back into the lineup.... Never said he wasn't cleared medically. Any player with as limited snaps as Griffin has received this year and over the previous seasons would benefit from more reps before getting back on the field; especially on this team with some much flux. Difference is I can make my points w/out the character attacks. I spit out my juice I was laughing so hard. My son asked me what is so funny You gotta be pulling a stand up comedy routine with some of your posts dude. Funny stuff. Lol @ you make points w/out the character attacks! You know I read this board right? I've read your posts. Classic stuff man. Classic. Anyhow, thanks for the laugh. Happy Holidays.

I am going to stand by everything I said. I'm sorry you get so upset when questioned. I'll try and remember not to dare question your opinions.

You created a BS strawman argument based on a statement I didnt even make or are you gonna quote where I said "Hue hurt Kody" or "Hue ruined Kody"?
You really are funny dude, if you are so concerned about, LOL, not making me upset that you would...I don't know.....Maybe not create strawman arguments?
No worries bro, don't sweat it. Lol.

Strawman? Will you stop w/the insults, please?
I think that Hue didn't hurt Cody at all. I think Cody's lack of talent hurt Cody. Hue is an excellent play caller. He was masking Cody's weaknesses. NE provided the blueprint on how to defense him. Btw....I posted that was how to defend Cody BEFORE NE did it. It was pretty obvious. Other teams followed suit. Hue was forced to change his play calling due to how teams were defending Cody. You can whine all you want, but that is the way it went down.
And Hue did not rush RGIII back to action. Show me where it says that RGIII was NOT medically cleared. You can't! And did we miss the playoffs because Hue put RGIII out there? What kind of a dumb argument were you trying to make? Oh, I know..........you love RGIII. Heck, he is the reason you joined this board.
Stop the charade and the facade. Don't make dumb ass claims if you aren't willing to be questioned!

At DT, context and meaning are a scarecrow kicking at moving goalposts.

It's not an insult.
When you make a FALSE claim as the basis of an argument you are in fact creating a strawman argument.
If you don't like being called on it...I don't maybe you shouldn't do it? *shrugs*
But being that you keep repeating a statement THAT I DID NOT MAKE and arguing as if I made it...well it's clear your intent here.
Simply quote where I have said: "Hue hurt Kody" that's all. Or apologize or be who most on this board already see you as.

And Hue did not rush RGIII back to action. Show me where it says that RGIII was NOT medically cleared. Scratching my head....did I say Griffin wasn't medically cleared? NO. I gave my opinion. Being loud or surly or creating BS arguments doesn't make you right, it just makes you......you. ...And (1) did we miss the playoffs because Hue put RGIII out there? (2) What kind of a dumb argument were you trying to make?
This post is a perfect illustration of who you are and what you do. (1) You introduce a BS argument that I (or another poster) is not saying in this case (2) You usually wait a post before attacking the invented argument but in this case you did it in the following sentence. Also, notice the mention of 'dumb' here and here: Don't make dumb ass claims if you aren't willing to be questioned! What was that you were saying before? Difference is I can make my points w/out the character attacks Perfect. Oh, I know..........you love RGIII. Heck, he is the reason you joined this board. I've never shied away from being a Griffin fan. But, people can read the content of my posts to judge the quality. Or does being a Griffin fan make me a bad poster? Stop the charade and the facade. I know right? I wish you would too. Are you gonna stop now?....Are you?

too bad we didnt let mccown go to cowboys for a pic. There are those charlie whitehurst type of guys who are same or better.
i think its funny that media keeps wanting to help our qb situation. they keep forgetting we are the team that plays the harlem globetrotters...washington generals.
I`m good with Baker... Playoffs is good enough for me.

You are the one w/the straw man argument. I freaking quoted you. I did not insult you. I gave my opinion and you got butt hurt over it. I will answer you w/your own quote: If you don't like being called on it...I don't maybe you shouldn't do it? Other than the guys who do what they always do, it isn't hard to look up, ed. The posts are right freaking here in this thread. I quoted you and responded and you came back by saying I was making things up. How the hell can I be making up your quotes? Grow some.

Okay, I didn't read your last post before I posted my last one. I was responding to one of your earlier posts. Here is how this started: Originally Posted By: edromeo Originally Posted By: Versatile Dog Next, we get that Hue hurt Cody because he made him throw deep. Who is saying this?
You.
I mean............how are we supposed to interpret this?
Quote: I think Hue mishandled Kody by forcing the issue with the deep ball
And another thing while I am at it. You said you don't want Hue on the hot seat, but you have been bad-mouthing him all year. You also added this gem:
Quote: and rushing Griffin back on the field imho too early.
What? Please provide some proof that he was asked to play before he was ready. Where am I insulting you? What am I making up? How is this a straw man argument? And ed, any objective poster [not that little band of Memphis, Vambo, arch, Willie, and Dep] can see that your arguments were built w/straw and I clearly did not start hurling insults. In fact, I allowed you to insult me twice before I brought up the "dumb" comment. I am going to stand by what I said in regards to how Hue has handled Cody and RGIII. Not asking you to agree, but I want you to know, that I sure as hell don't agree w/your arguments on the how he has handled the two of them. And again, go look at the two items that you wrote and I quoted. I didn't make squat up!

My hope is we keep RG3 for another year, keep Kessler, and look to FA and the draft for a couple more QB's. McCown is done. If he wants to retire and come back as a coach, ABSOLUTELY!. The way we go through QB's it's prudent to have a large supply of young arms. 3 on the active and at least 2 on the PS. If Kessler is a solid backup it's worth a 3rd round pick. The game doesn't seem too big for him. He shouldn't have had to play this year. What we REALLY need is an offensive line and a running game. Take some pressure off the QB position so maybe one of them can survive a couple games. We MUST draft or sign a CENTER. I don't care that Mack left, he wanted out so he got out. Can't really blame him. Cam didn't cut it, time to move on and find someone that CAN.

or we could draft some offensive linemen to actually keep our QB's safe ...
You can't fix stupid but you can destroy ignorance. When you destroy ignorance you remove the justifications for evil. If you want to destroy evil then educate our people. Hate is a tool of the stupid to deal with what they can't understand.

I watched the Steelers/Ravens game through an UK link they promoted Fantasy Football a good deal even had a cheap shot at the Browns. Not sure if is the link I used but they refer to the half's as ACT 1 and ACT2 they used teams that already played there to promote throughout the game and they mentioned Jay Ajayi a lot.
