Round 7 Pick 17 (WASH): Jake Elliott, K, Memphis (A)
Round 7 Pick 29 (G.B.): Kenny Allen, P, Michigan (A-)

--------------------

This low score boggles my mind. They must HATE that I didn't draft a QB bust seriously!!!

Malik Hooker as FS and Jamal Adams as SS by itself is enough to make it a draft for the ages.

But wait we have Derek Barnett for DE and Malik McDowell for DT to finish up the D-line so we are talking MAJOR Defense upgrade.

Gareon Conley and Marquez White could both end up starters at CB which helps our secondary a TON.

With COllins resigned that could be one godly defense!!!

Ethan at center or guard is a major upgrade for the o-line too. Man I love this draft =) I mean RG3 could always have a second coming =)

I traded back and picked up a first, then i traded back again for a future first. I then traded that future first to move a second pick back into the first for this draft.

More than happy to have garrett. yet if I can turn one starter into 3 first round picks ... its hard to say no ^^

Damontae Kazee is the hardest hitting CB I've watched. He's just an "okay" corner, but I'd love to get him in the 4th or 5th round.

I looked at the Info: NFL Draft Game link and it says "Scoring is based on team needs, player values, and draft positions. It favors the user/computer selecting a player of need and rewards the teams that select players that may have fallen (become "steals") in the draft." So, despite the A+ grades for Adams and McDowell, if they weren't one of the three needs at the time, they didn't score as high as points as Barnett when DE was on the needs list. I agree, it doesn't make sense in reality, but I guess it makes sense from a game perspective.

My first draft after reading this was below, set a new high for myself by 600 pr 700 pts. I wouldn't be upset with this draft, but it isn't likely what any of us would imagine.

You have to think not in terms of your paradigm, but theirs.

I would never draft like in the game.
Anyway they try to low ball you with some of their trade options. In that respect alone it's fiction.

IF that is all we got from a draft I would be dancing in the streets!

It also penalizes you I think when you don't accept trades but if you accept trades and end up taking weird player in the later rounds because like you don't know who ANY of them are at the point then it nails you even more for the one bad choice.

I would use probably 4 out of our top 5 picks on defense. 3 minimum.

other than first round picks you don't want more than 2 of each and if you land a future first rounder trade it in for one in this draft. i often use round 5 through 7 as ammo to trade in that future first. I always reroll a new game until i get that first good trade for any extra one to move down.

whats interesting is that trading in a future first has the value of a top 15 pick it seems so long as you add some extra. lol but so many times i get the perfect trade and they nail me by taking the best players i need first lol

My top 5 players (in no particular order) are:

Myles Garret
Jonathon Allen
Jamal Adams
Malik Hooker
Solomon Thomas

I am not hopeful that any of them will make it to the #12 spot.
Looking at the scenario where all 5 of them are gone, the player that I am starting to lean towards is Ryna Ramczyk OT Wisconson.

ASSuming that he is healthy. I think that he is going to need hip surgery.
I was watching the UM-Wisconson game to scout Taco Charlton. Ended up, Ramczyk stood out. He owned the left side of the line of scrimmage. He would immediately upgrade RT then seamlessly move over to LT when JT retires.

If you want a pro style drop back passer, Brad Kaaya is a guy to watch.

I'll rephrase - the needs that they have set up for us. I agree with you, but they have 3 needs highlighted each time you pick...those are the ones that give you extra points.

ed: your two drafts immediately above are the two best (IMO) that I have seen here. I would be very pleased with either (still torn between Allen and MG) but tending slightly to the latter of the two. Nice work...

J/c

There is a lot I like about Barnett, but I want to see his jumps before I get too high on him. He has motor, bend, and hands, but I'm not sure about his explosion yet.

He has great anticipation, rather then a quick twitch, imo.

Browns' 4 round Mock Draft:
Acquiesce to New England's desire to get 1st round “value” for Garapplo

1a- Myles Garrett- DE Texas A&M
Best player in the draft at a premium position. Just do it.

1b-12- Marshon Lattimore- CB- Ohio State
With two QB's likely in the top 10 as well as two other DB's (at safety) he slips

2a-33- Trade to New England For Garappolo

2b-52- Marcus Williams- S- Utah
Ball-hawking safeties always pull a premium

3a- 65- Pat Elflein- C- Ohio State
Erving does not appear to be the answer. Competition is needed badly.

4a- 106 (ish)- Trade to New England for Garappolo

4b- 140(ish)- Devonte Fields- OLB- Louisville
The inevitable fall finally stops here. We fill a need for Greg William's Hyper WOLB.

---Too far out of the loop to go past 4 rounds this year.

People ask me what I do in spring when there's no football. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for fall

Taywan Taylor came in 2" shorter than listed, but his arm length and wingspan are longer than Josh Reynolds and his arm length is the same as Evan Engram.

He seems like the kinda of kid Green Bay drafts in the mid rounds and turns into a stud.

I think if they draft for Jimmy G. it would be after the draft and them seeing which QB's fall. I mean trub, watson, and kiz could all be gone by pick 12. Its way to hard to predecit what teams with severe qb needs will do to get one.

The Patriots will not want to trade Garoppolo after the draft. If they wait till after the draft teams will have filled their holes and his value will go way down.

Also, the team trading for him will probably want him early so they can have him in for OTAs and minicamp.

And after the trade deadline (mid/late Oct), his value will be minimal...

I don't think he lacks quickness it's just everyone looks slow out the blocks compared to myles.
