I don't have one yet.

He's got more tape out now then the last one I posted for him in the SB thread. I would love to chart/discuss a few of his game tapes though. A couple of them are really short so shouldn't take as much time.

From watching him at the SB he was able to cover WRs (and he showed it at the combine) he's a big man that moves like a little man and he's explosive.

Kill or be killed...in war, anyone who says its fun ain't all here....Gregg W did what every coach and player tries to do...take advantage of weakness...he just went to far...and paid for it....next...just can't happen again....GO Browns!!!

It really isn't kill or be killed and war, though.

Guys who think that probably have never really played the game.

I am of the opinion that Williams is a bit of a fraud. A punk vicariously living through his players.

OK, that's your opinion....so you think Hue wants that type of guy representing the Browns...I think he's talented coach who made a mistake, paid the price, and wants to go on with his life and NOT be questioned/beat up about something that happened years ago...throw first rock if you've never sinned..hope Hue checked out his side to published story, got answers he needed and hired a committed, talented coach....GO Browns!!!!

Yeah as really Hue IMHO got a raw deal in Oakland. Just needs the right players and the right staff.

I didn't mention Bounty Gate.

As far as Hue goes: he brought in Art Briles, who might be the biggest scum-bag in all of coaching.

You are not afraid to judge people are you, guess Tressel's in same boat with Biles...wait, who hasn't screwed up before...pressure and circumstance shows character/or lack of in THAT situation...we all stumble...Biles isn't in prison...how'd you like Bobby Knight- he produced, but was a complete moron- see, I can judge too...all imperfect. I hope Williams fixes our D with this years FA and draft...GO Browns!!!

I wouldn't compare Tressell or Bobby Knight with Briles. I think Hue didn't know the full extent to how bad Briles was.

I had no issue when Briles was here, then I got the full details of what happened at Baylor. Defintiely wouldn't want us to invite him back. Doesn't send the right message

I'm surprised the Big 12 didn't kick them out of their conference

Not sure why you are getting angry???

I am stating my opinion. I don't like Williams and I think Briles is a scum-bag.

I actually think highly of Bobby Knight and comparing what Tressel did to what Briles did is something I can't comprehend. But, if you wanna believe that they are bad guys.....more power to you.

We simply disagree.

Promise, I'm not angry...we all got opinions. I was NOT lumping them together, just pointing out character flaws in difficult instances...Biles situation, I ASSUME you've read the stuff on internet like most of us...no excuses/terrible, BUT it ain't the full story...JMHO, media slants everything to sell/paint worst. Again, he screwed up, paid the price- so did Knight/Tress....move on, hope Gregg Williams learned and will be FAB D coordinator for us....GO Browns!!!

It is a fact that Briles covered up numerous crimes (including sexual assault) to protect his players. He is almost as bad as Sandusky and Paterno.

Agreed. He has a lot to answer to. No way around it. To even compare him to Tressel or Knight is ridiculous.

And no, I've never made the mistake of ignoring those kinds of crimes. That's not an "Everyone screws up sometimes mistake".

Would Hitt say "Everyone screws up sometimes" or "He's not in prison" if one of these football players did that to his daughter, and Briles knew about it? I bet not.

We're all fans of football. We love football. Many of us obsess over it. But these are people's lives. What happened at Baylor was despicable and Briles knew about it.

I can't let Briles off that easy. Not in the same way I could with Knight or Tressell.

Now that the first wave of FA signing have happened, I wonder who might be brought in as a FA signing during the 2nd wave?

Maybe that TJ McDonald? I have never seen him play or anything, but he was Williams' Safety on the Rams. Although, I'm reading he's more of a strong safety.

But according to SBNation, he's the best available. Just might be subject to suspension because of a drunk driving arrest in January.

EDIT: I like Derrick Kindred a lot though. He's a tough dude who seems to fly to the ball. I think he just needs to get more experienced and fundamentally a little better. But he plays with passion and he's athletic. I notice Kindred on the field, usually in a good way. I can't always say that about our other safeties. Although I really like that Budda Baker. Would love to get him with our 33 pick. Guy is all over the place

Kindred did some good things. I was a fan of I. Campbell, I loved the physicality he brings - but I don't think he showed the amount of improvement to win the job.

Gregg will want that hawk, free roaming safety that can cover a lot of ground.

I think his defense will get a lot of goodies via the draft.

I'd take McDonald on the cheap. Now's when smaller signings for less money can be vry beneficial

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I really hope we don't bring McDonald in. I think he stinks!

I am hoping we use this draft to seriously upgrade our secondary.

It's most likely. You get them for way cheaper and this year's DB class is stacked.

With all the draft picks we have no one. No room left on roster lol

McDonald is at least talented enough to move one of worst players off the 53 man roster. That provides depth. I'd sign him if it was a short contract (one or two years).

Yeah, I don't get all the McDonald love. He's terrible. No lateral movement. Straight line runner. Poor tackler in the open field. Can't cover anyone.

He makes some big hits when he has a full head of steam and the runner is catching the ball. I guess people have saw his highlight hits [mostly from college] and assume he is good.

He isn't even decent.

I'd pass all day every day on that guy.

While he may be better than the 53 man FA is not where you overturn the bottom of the roster. That is the draft. That would be an insanely expensive way to get depth. He's essentially a poor man's Tj ward. No more no less. And I didn't even want to keep Tj so....

JC...

Wouldn't TJ McDonald be better than what we have?...We have Kindred, Campbell, Reynolds, Powell...The point is to improve. McDonald isn't elite by any means, heck he probably isn't very good. But I think he's solid-good, to where we have are adequate at best with our group of safeties. And I'm sure the draft is where we will target a starter...Right now I think our group is more of good depth guys than actually safeties that are going to help you win on Sundays. However they should improve as they are very young.

Joe Haden indicated in his presser that Williams told him had he not played through injury last season, he would've told the Brown's brass to cut him.

I like it! No BS or anything, regardless how much $ the player is making. Everyone seemingly is going to be held accountable.

That's awesome for a couple of reasons... it sets the tone early, and it may even indicate he's seen a lot of missed opportunities and unrealized potential in the tape he's seen.

I've never seen that have any positive results.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

It could if the intention was to enforce accountability. I agree with you if it's coming from an A-hole of whom the defense is already tired of listening to.

That's what I'm thinking. This guy could get old quick and seems like a bigmouth jerk. I'm excited to go to a 4-3 though, and I found Horton's defense really underachieving . Maybe he's holding the spot for Jeff fishers son, who has been talked about highly.

I'm just gonna have to trust Hue

NM: looks like Fishers son didn't want the job.

After having played the game, I've seen a coach or two use this approach before. I've never seen it have a positive result.

I'm not saying the D won't be better or that he's not a good coach. We'll have players in their second year and hopefully some top D talent added. I also believe our personnel favors the 4-3.

However, I don't see how cussing out a bunch of millionaire professionals adds anything positive.

You can exercise and enforce accountability without stooping to that level.
