Yeah........I replied to you first. And you didn't answer my question.
But yeah, I started it. I'm glad that we came to an agreement on that.

Terrelle Pryor: I 'love being with the Browns' http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000785955/article/terrelle-pryor-i-love-being-with-the-brownsOn one hand, it's a reflection of the Browns' current state that their top offseason priority is a quarterback turned wide receiver who caught 77 passes for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns in 2016. On the other, it is a reflection of their current state that Terrelle Pryor wants to stay and not play for a contending team that might be able to use his versatile skill set more effectively. Pryor told Cleveland.com that he wants to see the rebuild through. "I know this is an important month," Pryor said. "But I do love being with the Browns and like I said before, this thing isn't about joining a different team because a different team's good. "That's not what it's about. I love the building process here. I started out in my career never coming in the front door. I've always got to go in the back." Cleveland.com added that "strong discussions" will soon commence between the Browns and their breakout star regarding a new contract. The Browns already locked up Jamie Collins on a four-year, $50 million deal and should get similarly aggressive with Pryor. Spotrac, a salary-cap website, projects his value at four years and roughly $36 million -- or somewhere between the deal that Michael Crabtree signed in 2015 and the one Doug Baldwin signed with the Seahawks this past offseason. While that would make sense, Pryor is theoretically in demand and the Browns are in need of a team-defining offensive star. Joe Thomas, while undoubtedly the best at his position over the past 10 seasons, is not going to draw jaded fans back to the Browns on his own. Even after paying what is expected to be a haul of draft picks -- 13, including four in the first two rounds -- Cleveland will have money to burn this offseason and could take another step at defining this rebuild by taking a crack at the top of the free agent market. Retaining Pryor, though, would be a fine start.

Thx Vambo.
Sux we need to do this after only one year but it is what it is.
Between Crabtree and Baldwin sounds about right.
9-9.5 a year. Less than 20 guaranteed.
We might see something like 4&32 with incentives for yards and catches. That would be understandable seeing we're dealing with a one year player and not a proven 4 year guy going for contract number two.
Actually, at Pryor's age this is most likely his only big contract going forward.
We'll get it done.

After looking at this years FA wide reciever class ... we need to lock this guy up ... I'm not as high on him as some of u ... but its a weak class ... he works his ass off ... and he has a few things u simply can't teach .. he has some major upside ... hopefully the drops were because of the finger ... i like my WR's to be able to catch ....

Agreed. I think some folks on here are selling him pretty short. There's no reason to think that there won't be improvement next year. He's still pretty new to the WR position. Last year would have been his second season (and to have 1000 yards at that) He's 6'4, can make jump catches, catching the ball at its highest point, he's fast, and he seems to get open. He was tearing up Josh Norman in the Redskins game until Kessler threw that INT late in the game. Dont' think we can let this guy see hte market either way. Who would we replace him with? Losing Pryor would be a step back, especially since this guy wants to play on the team. Another year honing his craft with Al Saunders, he should only get better. Him and an improved Coleman are the best options we've got. I really don't want to spend high in the draft on a receiver.

The jump catches is one of the things I'm really questioning Hue on ... in the Red Zone he had two or three fades or jump balls thrown to him all year .. and one or two of them came in the last game ... he should have had one thrown to him every time we were inside the 10 ... EVERYTIME ...
Thats just HORRIBLE PLAY CALLING and U could never convince me otherwise ... his ability to high point a ball is all ready veteran like .. he EXCELS at that ... he has an innate ability to "go get it" and he's a legite 6'4 or 5 with some ups ...
Why would u not make them defend that EVERY SINGLE TIME ... U don't wanna double team him .. I'll roll the dice ....
Hue decided they didn't need to defend it by hardly ever calling it ..

Driving into work this morning I was listening to 92.3 The Fan and it's been reported that Cleveland and Pryor's camp are making progress towards a deal (paraphrasing). A beat writer joined the show and added to this theme that Pryor has pushed Rosenhaus hard to get something done with the FO.
A good sign by all accounts.

Terrelle Pryor Has “Instructed” Agents To Get Deal Done With BrownsMary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports free agent WR Terrelle Pryor has “instructed” his agents that he “wants to stay in Cleveland” and to get a deal done with the Browns. According to Cabot, Pryor’s agents will have “strong discussions” with the Browns at some point in the near future. However, Cabot adds that the Browns have no plans to franchise Pryor, and would only do so if they can’t reach an agreement on a long-term deal before the tag deadline. “I know this is an important month,” Pryor said last week. “But I do love being with the Browns and like I said before, this thing isn’t about joining a different team because a different team’s good. “That’s not what it’s about. I love the building process here. I started out in my career never coming in the front door. I’ve alway got to go in the back.” Should the Browns elect to use their franchise tag on Pryor next year, they would be looking at a one-year deal worth around $16 million fully guaranteed, depending on how much the salary cap increases. Pryor, 27, was taken by the Raiders in the third round of the 2011 supplemental draft. He lasted a little over three years in Oakland before he was traded to the Seahawks for a seventh-round pick that ultimately became DB Jonathan Dowling. Pryor briefly played for the Chiefs and Bengals before later being claimed off of waivers by the Browns. Cleveland elected to cut him loose to make room for RB Robert Turbin last year before bringing him back. The Browns signed him to a one-year, $1.67 million restricted deal this last March. In 2016, Pryor appeared in all 16 games and caught 77 passes for 1007 yards receiving and five total touchdowns for the Browns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 31 wide receiver out of 115 qualifying players. We have Pryor featured in our Top 100 – 2017 Free Agents list. http://nfltraderumors.co/terrelle-pryor-instructed-agents-get-deal-done-browns/

I just love it.
A good player, who knows other teams would have big interest, wants to play HERE. 1-15 team. Year after year of losing. Etc...
Get the bloody deal done, already!! We need people like him, Joe Thomas and etc who are clearly committed to turning this around.

this could mean one of two things:
1. Pryor wants Cleveland to feel the pressure to sign him to his terms now (because he so badly wants to play here, the fans will think it's the FO fault if he doesn't)
2. This deal is close to done and Pryor wants good PR and brownie points

Honestly, either one of those scenarios are fine by me.
A third possibility is that he's saying that so when he does leave for another team, he can say he went above and beyond to work with this FO.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

errelle Pryor reportedly instructs agents to get a deal done with Browns http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/terrel...ne-with-browns/Terrelle Pryor may be moving closer to a deal that will keep him in Cleveland long-term. CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora previously reported that Pryor was Cleveland’s top offseason priority after wrapping up an extension for linebacker Jamie Collins, and now Cleveland.com reports that Pryor’s agents will have “strong discussions” soon about a new deal and that Pryor has instructed them that he wants to remain in Cleveland. The report also states that the Browns currently have no plans to use the franchise tag on Pryor, but would do so if they can’t come to an agreement on a long-term deal. The franchise tag for wide receivers is expected to top $15 million this season, but that number is considerably higher than what Pryor figures to command on the open market. As for Pryor himself, he’s openly stated that he wants to remain in Cleveland. “I know this is an important month,” he said last week. “But I do love being with the Browns and like I said before, this thing isn’t about joining a different team because a different team’s good. That’s not what it’s about. I love the building process here. I started out in my career never coming in the front door. I’ve always got to go in the back, the hard way and the longer way. “I have no problem with, just because we were 1-15 or whatever this year, coming back. I don’t mind starting fresh next year and continuing to grow, because I think it’s more exciting when you’re on the bottom. I’m always citing starting from the bottom and getting to the top, and I think it’s a greater feeling and it would be great to give Cleveland what they’re looking for.” The 27-year old broke out last year during his first full season as a wide receiver. Working as the Browns’ No. 1 target for most of the year, Pryor racked up 77 catches for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns. Considering he had been a quarterback until shortly before the 2015 season, it was one of the most impressive showings of the 2016 campaign.

The cap money HAS to be spent so I feel like lets just do it. No. It doesn't. Actually it does or the team gets penalized. It doesn't have to ALL be spent but far more of it that what is currently being spend does. Other than the win column that is. 1. Are we in danger of being penalized? 2. What is the penalty? (No and the penalty is inconsequential.) Here is a very good overview of the 89% cap floor spending rule: http://www.dawgsbynature.com/2015/3/9/81...9-cash-spendingHere is a look at where all the teams stand over the last four year period: https://twitter.com/NFLPA/status/805867703466676224 This kinda sums up being a Brown's fan. We are good w/being cheap because we won't be penalized for it. Or some of us understand that spending it just to spend it screws us both now and later. If Im not mistaken, this is 2 years old.

I thought you were talking about the image. The article is two years old but the rules are the same now as they were then. It's just a primer on how the cap floor works.

I think it is a hint that the offer we made sounds good to him. Now it is just a matter of working out the framework. Hammer it out by Saturday afternoon for a Sunday cover release.

Sure they can , were the Browns ! lol God that would depress me. I think a lot of people here sell Pryor short. If we can't re-sign him, i hope we franchise him. Cause our WR core looks a lot better with him than without. And there's no one we're getting in FA that can match Pryor And he'll only keep on improving

I hope the Browns and Pryor can reach an agreement, but I'm not getting anxious about it. Free agency hasn't even started yet. Personally, I think Pryor would be dumb to sign before then, but we'll see.

Yep. Not to mention that the two sides sound like they really want to work this out. I'm sure they're haggling about guaranteed money at this point. It sounded like Pryor really wanted this done.
