just for conspiracy theory sake, a small part of me kinda thinks the lebron leaving was a wink wink deal with Gilbert, they both knew there was no way to make the team better without tanking, and no team with lebron on it could tank without it looking obvious. I think they also realized they didn't have the FO or the coaching they needed. Grant, while great and acquiring assets, couldn't really turn them into anything. I think Lebron always intended to come back after we were able to get some pieces to put around him.

I am very fearful of messing up the chemistry by getting rid of any of the core players, particularly if they are well liked and fit into the culture here which I think Shump does. For as sketchy as his offense is, he's also man enough to keep hoisting them without losing his confidence and he's our best on the ball defender outside of LeBron. What kind of incremental improvement would Beverly actually be? I just don't see it, but that's why I don't get the big bucks to make these decisions. But I would be disappointed in this trade.

Now the flip side is if Griffin thinks that Beverly can be a better on the ball defender than Shump on the likes of Curry and Thompson, then maybe you do it.

I'd much rather have Sanders than Bogut, bogut is a plodder, he's no better than mozgov was and doesn't work for what we do. Plus he's 32 and always hurt

Bogut can actually run plays on offense at least. In the end I don't think he would play much. Nobody even knows if Larry Sanders can still play.

Man, they really did just give Noel away. Sounds like they are going to possibly do the same with Okafor as well. Man, that's crazy. The team suffered so much to be in position to draft really good players, and now they are just giving them away instead of actually developing them. The Sixers have also really struggled to find a good, consistent PG. That really hurts a young team, and really hurts young bigs.

From what I've been reading, it sounds like the Cavs are holding off on signing Sanders until they can find out about the availability of Bogut. It seems like he's the preferred center.
