Great, we need essentially mormons preaching the good word of the Browns FO on the streets now?

Great, we need essentially mormons preaching the good word of the Browns FO on the streets now? When you're 1-15, haven't been to the playoffs in like 15 years and have had more coaching changes than probably any team in the NFL in the past 20 years, anything helps. Folks were very excited for FA thinking we'd get all these guys. It is like it is most years. The best players don't go to join our team right now. I just hope we get Pryor back and continue building through the draft. Follow that set-up. Avoid FA's, re-sign your own players who do perform, and draft well.

You wound me, Kyle Justcyski or whatever your last name is.

IMO, that's amazingly stupid spending by SF. This is how coaches and FOs get fired. I like KJ, but not at this amount. I might be wrong but the new duo of Shanny and Lynch looks very impulsive based on the amount of $ they can spend. I think they might go down in history like the 2011 Eagles Dream Team, Jacksonville, hell, any Redskins team for the most part.

I think the 49ers are going overboard, but conversely the Browns have to realize that FA is a must to improve your roster now days. As Vers alluded to there is soo much money now the idea of cap hell is just not a real thing. We need to get at least 2 new starters out of this FA (not including resigning Pryor).
Stupidity works both ways.
Against logic, the most effective armor is willful ignorance.

Cap hell is definitely still a thing, but only for teams that have a great playmaker or two (perhaps on each side of the ball) and a franchise QB.
We're still working on both of those things.
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

Browns have a legit shot at landing S Tony Jefferson, are offering him the most money by far, sources tell me + @ RapSheet. Ravens in it too.
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

http://www.cleveland.com/browns/inde...y_jeffers.htmlCLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Browns have expressed interest in Bengals guard Kevin Zeitler and Cardinals safety Tony Jefferson among other free agents, league sources have told cleveland.com. Others on the Browns' radar heading into free agency Thursday include Jaguars safety Johnathan Cyprien and Texans cornerback A.J. Bouye, who's expected to remain in the AFC South. Zeitler, 27, is a natural fit for the Browns because he played for coach Hue Jackson in Cincinnati and knows the system. But the five-year veteran, 27, won't come cheap. According to spotrac.com, he'll command something in the neighborhood of five years, $57.9 million, for an average of about $11.5 million a year. That would put him right up there in terms of yearly average with nine-time Pro Bowler Joe Thomas. It would also be tied for third-highest on the team behind Joe Haden ($13.5 million) and Jamie Collins ($12.5 million). Zeitler would likely step right in and start at right guard, where incumbent John Greco is recovering from Lisfranc foot surgery. Left guard Joel Bitonio is recovering from the same surgery but expects to be ready for the season. Zeitler has been a fixture for the Bengals at right guard since he was drafted in the first round out of Wisconsin in 2012. Multiple teams have been linked to Zeitler, including the Jaguars and Colts. Zeitler recently told Sirius XM NFL radio, "I love Cincinnati, but I'm open to anything. It's an exciting time." As for Jefferson, 25, the Browns will have competition from the Jets, NJ.com reports. The Cardinals don't want to pay him what he can get on the open market, a source told cleveland.com. Spotrac.com estimates Jefferson's market value at about $5.77 million a year, but a source told cleveland.com he's looking for at least $8 million coming off his first year as a full-time starter. Jefferson started 14 of his 15 games in 2016, recording 96 tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles and five passes defensed. Signed as an undrafted rookie out of Oklahoma in 2013, he started seven games in 2015 and eight in 2014. Cyprien, 26, has been a full-time starter since the Jaguars drafted him at the top of the second round out of Florida International. In 2016, he recorded 128 tackles, one forced fumble and four passes defensed.

I could see Shanny picking up Hoyer jmho yeah, he did I was on a page back when I thought that...lol Makes sense.
1. Well all these deals made were all released? or they make the deals already illegally?
2. If so we don't read anything on Pryor hoping that is good news that nobody is looking to offer what he's asking. Making our offer looking pretty good
3. We aren't going to get everyone...We aren't going to sign guys for the sake of signing them either.
I hope we target a few and put our best foot forward.
Zietler is the one key for me. That the guy I hope we sign.
jmho
