depends, whats the ratio of TD's per attempt for QB A and B?

Are we supposed to ignore arm strength, accuracy, anticipation, size, intelligence, leadership, reading defenses, reading coverages, etc?

No, but could accuracy, arm strength, vision, physicsl ability, and size have something to do with who has less Ints.? Maybe.

QB A throws an INT every 75th pass attempt.
QB B throws an INT every 18th pass attempt.

Which would you rather have?

Both of them are Brett Farve.

TD to INT ratio is misleading depending on team. A good running team should be seeing lots of red zone rushing TDs as opposed to passing TDs. Do you penalize a GB for having a RB that can pound the rock and an OC that is not a idiot like Pete Carroll just cause the QB does not have red zone TD passes?

OK Willie ... heres my opinion ... and we'll start with the one thing that guys like bone and a bunch of others simply refuse to acknowledge ...

U play this game to win the Super Bowl .. thats the OBJECT ... the Pats are not only a contender but this year there going to go into the season a prohibitive favorite to return ...

QB is the mOST IMPORTANT position on the field and I'm not sure its even close ... last year in the first 4 weeks the Pats started JG for the first two games .. he got hurt .. they started Brissett for 1 game ... he got hurt ... he played the next game but STUNK ... he only started cause he was "healthier" than JG ...

BB is fully aware that Tom could go down with injury .... just like over HALF THE NFL QB'S DID LAST YEAR ... if Tom goes down for say 4 - 6 weeks .. dies BB trust Brissett enough to guide them to the playoffs .... IMO thats what will DETERMINE JG'S VALUE ....

And if Brissett isn't deemed worthy .. the price for JG gets steeper ...

The 2nd thing guys like bone and others won't put into their equations is the fact that Bill will get something for him next year ...

WORST CASE is he gets a comp 3rd rounder ...

More than likely he gets a good haul as he franchises him and trades him ...

People don't want to think this thing through ... either that or they don't want to acknowledge certain facts that don't draw the conclusion they want ...

JG has MORE VALUE TO NE THAN MOST WANT TO ADMIT .... question is ... how much value ...

No one knows what price Bill puts on him ... we will find that out over the next 7 weeks ...

The fact Bill has traded away a 1st, 2nd and 3rd rounder over the last couple days tells me JG very well may be on the market ... and were going to pay a HEFTY ASS PRICE for him ... and i want Mitch .. but think JG is the only other acceptable option this year and will be on board with it ...

I'm gonna guess .. and its purely a guess ... #12 and two seconds within the next 2 years ...

King's ransom is subjective. I am not talking the #1 or several 1st rd picks etc. However, the #12 and a 2nd rd and maybe a later round or compensatory pick for good measure may be enough but just the #12/2018 2nd rd may be good. As we have acquired a boatload of draft picks this is how you use them IF you believe you can get "THE guy". Otherwise as Vers or somebody said...those boatloads of picks could potentially just translate to "a bunch of guys".

Look, NE may be trying to fleece us now or saying they don't want to play ball with us. But, as they just traded away their #32 and a 3rd rd pick for Cooks it means they don't pick a guy for quite awhile. As we approach the draft they may decide they actually do want to play ball.

oooops .... actually they didn't trade away their 2nd ... they moved back 8 spots into the 3rd ... but thats not the same as what i said .. there just moving back 8 spots ...

My bad ....

Still doesn't change the fact he traded his 1st and 3rd ... me thinks JG can be had ... but its going to cost a lot and we have the ammo to overwhelm him if we so choose ...

It's getting old - but I agree with everything you said. With the exception my preference is for JG over Trubisky.

Given that we have Three 1st rounders and Five second rounders .... And we are going to have to spend a 1st rounder (and more probably) to get Mitch. . . . . I don't think that price is too bad. Especially if we can defer a couple of the picks to next year.

I'd hope that we can get JG for #12, a second rounder next year and either a 3rd next year or 4th this year.

What's encouraging, even though I know you don't think much of the FO .... I do think they know how to trade and create a win-win trade without being desperate.

Jets seems like the likely landing spot for Trubisky in the draft .... not sure how or who we trade with to get ahead of them. But It's likely the same or perhaps even a higher price to move up to #5 or even trade with the Jets.

So u don't think the Niners or Bears might draft him at 2 or 3? ..

The Glennon deal is really only a one year 16 million dollar deal ... the next 2 or 3 years he's very cuttable or a decent price for a good back up ... that deals when u look at just the raw numbers is very decieving ....

And Shanny knows QB's ... Mitch fits exactly what he's looking for ... EXACLTY ...

Accurate, smart, quick decisions, quick release and atheletic to boot ....

Shanny scares the hell out of me ... he may have a wink wink deal with Cousins .... that would be nice ... but then again ... the skins may fire Allen and if that happens ... Kirk may re-sign there .. he has to love working with Gruden ...

Anyhow .. sometimes I'm long winded ... *L* ...

U don't think there's much of a chance that the bears and especially the Niners take him at 2 or 3 ....

Only way to probably guarantee Niners don't take him is to draft Allen #1 and I don't want any part of that. I'm sure the Niners would draft Garrett.

Interesting question. Hoyer is a 2 year deal. But, we all know what happened w/Shanahan last time there was pressure on FO to play a 1st round pick. Chicago has more $$ wrapped up in Glennon. He seems the logical starter there w/Mahomes taken later.

If Garoppolo is traded by Belichick there is more than one option available to Belichick as a back-up.

Guys like McCown, Osweiler, Cutler and others could be had as veteran back-ups.

Of course Belichick plays to win the Super Bowl. I acknowledge that ok.

He also has to manage his whole roster and build for the future.

There is no question that Belichick would "like" to keep Garoppolo.

It is not like you have a premium on thinking this through. Belichick is faced with a difficult decision there are pros and cons to each argument.

The Browns also are faced with a difficult decision. How much is to much to give up?

Do the Browns want to start the season with a guy who is ready to start? Do they want to draft a quarterback and let him learn while he plays? Do they want to sit the rookie and start Kessler?

They have made moves to build assets. They have made moves to build the OL and have made investments at receiver.

They have high draft picks to add impact rookies.

Does it not seem that that are ready to win game?

What can be expected from starting one of the rookies from this draft or starting Kessler?

Belichick will only make this move if he gets what he feels is the appropriate value.

On the other hand the Browns have to measure what Garoppolo is worth to them. Or, if they see a guy in the draft that they believe can be a franchise guy. As well as how long can they continue racking up a losing seasons?

I think both the 49rs and Bears have lots of needs. I still think that when it's said and done the QBs this year are not worth a top 10 pick. That factors into the decision, especially when you're number 2 and 3. I think Shanny might think he's got a free year to suck and can wait for Cousins. Or suckb so bad have a choice of next year's draft class.

Glennon might be easy to cut but he also might be serviceable, or even better than that. With so many needs I'd be taking less risky options personally.

Jets are better generally. Might have less viable QBs on their roster.

We know for a fact that Shanny loves Jimmy G. That's how Shanny scares me. He is the one who might make the trade w/NE, if Jimmy G is available.

How confident are u that Mahomes is going to last til your 2nd round pick if your Chicago ..... best case for Chi-town ... and this is also worse case for your scenario cuse it starts the QB run ...

They say Mahomes is a 2 year project ... we have to keep that in mind ...

SF takes Mitch ... that eaves Watson and possibly Kizer ahead of Mahomes .... did Kizer drop after the combine? .. if not yet, i bet they all drop him behind Mahomes by their final mocks....

then u have the jets, bills (taylors on a 2 year deal) ,.. the browns ... giants are now looking for a replacement ... redskins if they like him or one of the others has to consider it unless there planning on firing Allen and since hes the president I don't see that being the draft strategy ... so there in need .... *L* .... the saints are in need .... rams possibly .... Goff's not tied to the new regime ... Cardinals are in need ... Houston weather they get Romo or not .. and Romo is going there with a slimmer of a hope for Denver ... Denver has Lynch so they won't be drafting a QB high....

There's one MAYBE two QB's going ahead of Mahomes and there's a lot of QB needy teams that if they really like him very well may roll the dice .... and if we like him ... and we roll the dice and he's there with our 2nd round pick ... we very well may take him there if he lasts that long ....

If your Chicago are u going to roll the dice Mahomes lasts that long or are u just going to draft Mitch or Watson at #3 if their both there???? ..

These QB's aren't all the good ... but its all there is .... and next years class looks real good ... but u don't know where your going to end up nor do u really know just how good it will actually be ...

I don't know whats going to happen ... all i know is the possibilities are endless ....

I actually think ... were going to pull the trigger and give BB enough ... i all ready made my prediction what that will be ....

If we don't pull the trigger on this trade ... i will blame the FO ... we have the ammo to overwhelm him ... lets use it ...

#12 .... our second 2nd round pick this year and the same next year in the 2nd round ....

That'd be tough for even Bill to turn down .... especially with the D depth in this draft ...

Will be interesting to watch the domino's fall ...

Shoot.........if I am Chicago, I am praying someone takes Mahommes and the other qbs before I pick in the second. I would be overjoyed, because that means teams passed on quality players for guys who are most likely going to be stiffs in the NFL.

You guys are way overrating this year's QB class. Some dumb ass teams will probably take a chance, but I ain't feeling much love for this group.

Fair enough ... i agree on the pros and cons portion and almost all the rest ... end of the day ...we both agree that BB will place the value ...

1 thing .... IMO none of the back ups u mentioned are as good as Jimmy ... but the MAIN POINT ... and u know this ... Bill's a system guy ... Jimmy has how many years in his system???? ... the other guys combined have zero i believe ... that's HUGE ...

But thats irrelivent to me cause i don't think Bills going to bring in a vet over JG anyhow ...

So what are u willing to give up ... whats the most you'd give up if u were us ... I've said what I'd do ....

What say u sir ... whats your tipping point ....

Shanny went an got Hoyer. He knows that Hoyer can run his offense.

I believe Cousins is his guy for the long term. Cousins has made his thoughts clear to Washington. He may play there this year but he is leaving next year if he stays this year.

The 49'ers really do not have the ammo to get Garoppolo that is why they signed Hoyer.

My thoughts are if Bill thinks Tom is staying he will trade Jimmy ( albeit for a kings ransom)..... if he thinks Tom is leaving then the Scheffler is right and there is no amount of picks he will trade him for. I think the Browns will offer a lot, and we will know the plans for Brady based upon Bills response. Jmho

My tipping point is #12 and two 2's. One this year one next. Not 33. I'd be hard balling for #12. #52 and a pick next year. . . .

If that don't cut the mustard then I sit and wait to see who is there at #12. Draft Mitch if he's there or BPA if not. Defense.

I think this years QB's is worse than the draft that had Bridgewater, Carr, Johhny M. How many on here was talking about how Teddy was a sure fire #1 pick? Heck there was some on here that thought we should take Johnny with our first pick, and he might be gone also at #1. Most of these guys except maybe Watson were ranked 2nd or 3rd rounders. Only until Jan. rolled around did the media start saying Trub and Kizer were now all of a sudden sure fire first round picks. And the closer we get to the draft the more hype we will here. I think ALL these guys drop. None of them even compares to Teddy or Carr or even Johnny IMO

I'm not Vers, but I would give 1/12, 2/20 this year and our own 2nd next year.....maybe the third we get for Brock (lol).

I like him a lot and think he's a franchise guy....jmho. I just don't know what Bill is thinking.

If BB's QB of choice is still on the board at our #12 pick, we may indeed pull the trigger. If not, hold on to our picks and wait 'til 2018...

jmho, but that would be huge price to pay for a QB based on 6 quarters starting.

Two 2nd round picks valued at the average 2nd round value would be near a #20 first round pick.

Our first round #12 pick plus two 2nd round picks with an estimated value of a first round #20 pick...that is a huge price to pay for a backup QB who has started only 6 quarters.

Ok Diam, IF I were to trade for Garoppolo I would offer #52 This Year and Our 3rd Rd. pick next year ... that's still a high price for A QB that has been only a backup and if they want to get rid of him they would take it ...
