Besides, once the weekdays start, it will be harder to stay on.

Be nice to have it in by midnight...

After the last poll, I'd think just run to the commissioner with a paper with Trubisky's name on it.
nevermind that.

When we do decide to get a Browns mock GM, I want to nominate PastorMarc, because, he's been online, his picks seem to vary, and move along.

I've voted .... but in all honesty as Trubisky was the pick at 12 before the trade -- and he's now available at 21, I don't see how the pick isn't automatically MT. The faster this draft moves the more fun for all.

Poll is tentatively closing at 5 pm tomorrow. But that can change based on how many people have voted. I would love to get it done by noon tomorrow.

I'd be fine to make it much shorter in the future. The long time is just to give everyone a chance. I'm fairly certain that we've drafted before polls have closed in all of our picks so far.

Miami has a trade agreement in place. 22 selection is owned by another team. Will announce details when Browns pick is up, but new owner should be allowed sufficient time to log on and make their selection.

We have a trade to announce:

Miami receives 27 & 104
Kansas City receives 22

Trade was agreed upon yesterday in order to not hold the board hostage waiting to see if a trade would happen. PM has been sent to PDX. Please give him time to log on and make his pick.

From the Mock Draft thread (not wanting to clutter): "While a bit of an over reach at 22, with the other two top rated QBs gone KC’s GM felt Mahomes at 22 would be a potentially better option than some of the other QBs later in the draft. With a team whose depth chart currently consists of Alex Smith, Joel Stave and Tyler Bray this pick should move Mahomes into serious contention as the #2 QB."

KC also doesn't have Cleveland's history with drafting a QB @ #22. naughtydevil

yeah, don't take a qb at 22

Chiefs rarely draft a QB in the first round. Last one was Todd Blackledge in 83 and before that was Steve Fuller in 79. I was tempted to stick with tradition and have other guys/positions in mind but, as I said in my reasoning (in the Official Mock Draft" thread) I did so as the QB depth chart for KC is slim....especially since Foles signed with Philly. Also, the Browns draft woes at 22 cannot be placed on other teams. So, don't hex me guys! wink

The Texans are going OT as they aren't counting on Derek Newton being able to return from tearing both patellar tendons. A strong running game will help whomever they end up breaking in at QB. Some question Robinson's ability to stay on the outside, but the Texans will give him every opportunity, though they also have a need at OG if it comes to it.

Bolles age and lack of FBS experience and Lamp's arm length dropped them below Robinson.

Who's the best pass rusher he went up against? The only one that really comes to mind is Takk McKinley and he had 3 sacks against Utah. (They may have come against the RT, but still who did he face in that case?)

Robinson is much more battle tested after 3 years starting in the SEC. Garrett, Barnett, Harris are likely all high picks.

Bolles is also 25, I think. He'll be 30 at the end of his rookie contract.

I'm not saying I don't like him at all, but I think Robinson has been over-scrutinized and Bolles a little under-scrutinized.

Grimm I don't think the age is such a big deal for a tackle. Whitworth just got a huge deal and he's going to be 35. 10 years is good for a first rounder. Especially for a team that has a QB and needs a tackle to compete for a championship.

I agree to an extent, but I think Bolles is also somewhat underdeveloped as far as filling out his frame especially considering his age. I'm not sure how well he'll handle power in the Pro's. I think he benefited some from playing beside Asiata in that respect.

I think the Whitworth deal relates to the lack of quality Tackles coming out of college. I'm not super familiar with his deal, but it's probably with a pay as you go type framework. Bolles relies a lot on his athleticism, and I'm not sure he'll age as "gracefully".

Seattle is playing more and more 4-2-5 on defense and the "buffalo nickel" is the pick. I figured it to be Melifonwu, but it is a nice surprise to see Peppers fall.

I'll PM CleveSteve, as Miami is on the clock.

Given how fast we are closing on #33 I thought I'd offer a bpa list for easier suggesting for the poll. I took into account need and prior positions taken.

3T Malik McDowell
3T Caleb Brantley
SS Obi melifonwu
S Buddha baker
FS Desmond King
CB Tre'Davious White
CB Adoree jackson
CB Chidobe awuzie
TE Gerald Everett
TE Evan engram

IMO the 3T are great value right now.

I'd personally put Fabian Moreau on that list, and Alvin Kamara

I'll 2nd that.

I'll nominate Adoree Jackson, or 2nd him if predators was the official nomination.

If that's a 2nd on Adoree, then my nomination is Zay Jones.

You and Grimm had me worried.

Once Takk was taken Bolles and Lamp were my targets on my trade down.

When you guys started talking about Bolles i almost panicked and considered trading up.

Maybe we should lighten up on discussing available players by name during the draft? *shrugs*

Idk maybe talk about positions groups or in general terms.
