I agree about not discussing players that haven't been drafted, but it's tough when we are picking for the browns the way that we are.

Maybe we should lighten up on discussing available players by name during the draft? *shrugs*

Idk maybe talk about positions groups or in general terms.

Isn't that how it really works, though? A team hears "chatter" and panics and trades up? I think back to our trade up for Trent Richardson.

Do teams float names in hopes it will help someone else potentially drop?

The dynamic is definitely a little different on a message board, and I can go either way moving forward.

The thought processes involved are kind of my interest in the mocks, but I can stick to just giving picks if that's what people want.

I would expect this tactic is used a lot. You never show your hand, do you? But, you certainly strategically bluff with the intent to get what you need to help yourself.

No doubt I hear yah, I'm not saying it should be a rule or anything.

But in this forum conversation about a prospect that is flying under the radar could trigger another poster, who wasn't even thinking about said player to consider or even draft them when they otherwise wouldn't.

But, I agree that the draft is unpredictable and allowing 'board talk' kinda helps mirror the chaos.

I was kinda thinking out loud on that post and really more of a maybe then a rule suggestion.

I didn't really think of Bolles as being under the radar. I think clevesteve and I expected him to be Seattle's pick. I'll try to stick to players already drafted when analyzing/explaining picks.

Interesting pick considering the Saints have Kenny Vaccaro at SS and last years 2nd rnd pick, Vonn Bell is set to play FS now that the Saints have let Jarius Byrd go.

I actually did too. I think they're in the wheelhouse to draft a prospect to replace Ben. Kizer can sit a season or two and he has the physical skill set

I think malik is BPA easily. And we could always use our latest 2nd rounder to move up for a cb, S or wr. His upside is enormous and we could use some upside at 3T.

I may be in a minority here, but I think the athleticism of Obi Melifonwu fits the FO script, a position of need, and a superior athlete.

I like the CB White, other than Sidney Jones I think he is the best CB available.

He would be fine also, we need DB's especially SS/FS although CB is a must also ... JMHO thumbsup

I can see us taking a CB and a S in the 2nd rd. ...

They drafted Ifedi to move to the right side and Luke Joeckel was signed for the left side. I thought about Lamp, but Peppers was too diffuclt to pass up. He'll be perfect for their buffalo nickel and can ultimately play either safety position if Chencellor or Earl Thomas were to be injured. I think Melifonwu will be the pick in the real draft, but that is based on Peppers being gone.

Bolles would be a great fit in Seattle's ZBS tho.

will all be included in the next poll.

I'm surprised no one has nominated Desmond King. He could also be a good fit at safety.
