well if you look at it from a world point of view, then why escalate?

fat boy and his family have ran their mouths. they haven't attacked anyone. so why is Trump escalating things.

and why would any country not develop nukes if they could?

if i was NK, i certainly would've. NK has the UN and the US, who by the way has 7,000 nukes, trying to tell fat boy he can't have any?

from fat boy's PoV, yea...F that. develop those joints. it's hilarious watching our country and others who have nukes have the audacity to tell others not to develop nukes.

you're looking at it from every other group's PoV but Kim's. and i don't understand why.

so yea, we are escalating things. just cause you won't go for it doesn't make it false.

the guy does nothing but run his mouth and beg for foreign aid to feed his people. why escalate it any further?

from fat boy's PoV, yea he's gonna develop nukes. especially because everybody is calling him the bad guy......

yet the "good" guy is the only country that dropped nukes on a country.

twice.

every country wants to develop nukes as an insurance policy. so either we need to directly engage Kim like we did Iran, or just leave them alone.

but flexing military muscles like this and upping up the tensions is a good way to start a war.

and why can't you see Russia or china backing NK after that? Russia just backed Assad after gassing his own people. yet somehow you can't seem them backing NK if they drop a bomb? please.

No, Im just not pissing my pants because fat boy is cranky, like you are.

sorry, but i just don't want to go to War with NK, or much of anybody.

i'm just trying to figure out what happened to "america first" that you backwards ass conservatives were whining about all last year. that crap clearly went out the window.

Coming through on what? Sorry but so far his decisions are looking erratic.

Thanks to Trump we are now closer to WW3 than ever.

Swear you conservatives get hard on's for war. Pathetic. It's funny too cause the guys getting woody's are the ones who didn't even have the balls to join and play Army.

Like the president, for example.

And Obama served? What is/was your point in saying what you did? That you don't respect Obama either?

Quote:
President Barack Obama ordered an aircraft carrier to the Korean Peninsula in a show of force in November 2010 after North Korea launched a deadly artillery barrage on the South. Then, the fear was a conflagration at the heavily militarized border

But, it was okay for him to do that? That non military president? You know, the type of president you just railed against? Okay for him, because he didn't serve in the military, but he had a "D" behind his name?

Quote:
Army Gen. Vincent Brooks, commander of U.S. forces in South Korea, decided not to come to Washington for congressional hearings this month, his office said Tuesday, suggesting he had to stay for a potentially hazardous situation under his command. U.S. defense officials said that didn't mean military action was imminent. A similar decision was made amid tensions in 2013.
Hmm......tensions in 2013. I forget, who was president in 2013? Oh, yeah, Obama, the guy with the "D" behind his name.

So youre saying that setting up trade deals with China that strengthen us while simultaneously weakening our enemies isnt putting America first?

Maybe we could go back to being pansys like the prev Admin?

Swish, you being ex-military, maybe you know. Don't we have what is called Nuke light? It's supposed to be a low level nuke that will destroy a big area but not leave a big radiation spot? A well placed one of those would end any conflict and then we carry on.

I will say, and I believe someone else mentioned it in this thread - refusing n.k. coking coal and instead buying u.s. coal is good, but could lead to the u.s. buying steel made in china. And anyone that knows anything about products made in china knows, for the most part, they are inferior.

I guess we'll have to wait and see.

you do realize that a trade deal is gonna hurt the american worker even more, right?

the same american worker you care as if you actually give a damn about.

also, coal is a dying industry. the market decided that, so great for Trump delaying the inevitable? go team roar!!!

all i'm aware of when i was in was the ERW's, or enhanced radiation weapons, like a neutron bomb, for example.

but i was nowhere near those sort of weapons so sorry i can't be of any help.

ask me about that .50 cal though and i got you lol

I apologize Swish, as I missed or overlooked your question as I've been in and out all day. What are you asking in regards to KJU?

Also, Reagan didn't have military service.

Thanks to him, the taliban gained power. You shouldn't use him as an example, you're already stupid argument looks even worse.

Unprovoked? How can you even say that? Ask Japan if they feel provoked.

You do read the news. NK has been conducting nuclear bomb tests, launching missles the last 5 years or more.....what the HELL else do you need to feel provoked? LOB a nuke on Seattle or Tokyo?

When would be a better time?

Stopping the clueless dictator 5 years ago? Or 10 years ago?

Or, just letting the dictator ignore the u.n. and do what he pleases, while the rest of the world feeds his people?

I don't want a war. But the kim's certainly don't care about the u.n. And they certainly don't care about them not getting nukes, and they certainly don't care about the ban on ballistic missiles.

So, when should the world react? (or the u.s.)

Or, take their food away. Sanction the heck out of them. That's worked, right?

Or, maybe just let them build up a nuclear arsenal while they continue to not care about feeding their citizens. You pick.

Relax already, South Korea will hardly get a scratch.

You have the worlds only superpower going up against the hermit kingdom.

Jam their communications, they can't even breath without orders. Stealth Bombers they can't see will bomb everything important followed by missiles and B-52's to mop it up.

We know where everything is located in NK and with the recent posturing, we scared them into moving Nukes and ICBM's while our satellites watched everything.

NK is supposed to be planning an underground test of a new and more powerful Nuke.

Fat boy will be there to watch the show.

Perhaps we could surprise him by dropping a Hydrogen Bomb on top of his test, just as it goes off. brownie

I guess we're confusing things here. Maybe it's me.

Let's start over, shall we?

The time to have stopped nk's nuke program was quite a while ago. To do so now is still a possibility, but it's more dangerous.

And I'm not looking for a war to do so. That is why I said we need China to take a front row seat. (and what I meant is China needs to be involved, not sitting in the front row watching.) The u.s. shouldn't even have thoughts of attempting it alone, for varied reasons.

As well, on a different level, it's not up to the world to feed the nk people WHILE the nk gov't. is spending huge amounts on nukes. Thus, the "take their food away" comment. That sounds cruel, and harsh, I know.

The reality is, in nk now, they have a maniac dictator who doesn't care about his own people, and whose goal is attacking - ideally, the u.s.

Something needs to be done. The u.n. sanctions haven't done anything - on the nuke level, or on the ICBM level.

Exactly WHAT needs to be done is above my pay grade.

I certainly never meant to imply that I all of a sudden care/d about the citizens of nk more or less than I care about people anywhere else.

Not disputing what you said

seriously asking

Does NK take a lot of foreign aid?

I always kind of thought they shut themselves off from the world

No, they didn't shut themselves off. obama sent them a million dollars in aid the day before he left office.. other countries also send them money and aid, though I doubt much of it makes it to the people that need it.

They take a ton of aid from China alone. I mean just a ton. Fleets of trucks with rice, cooking oil, etc. come across the boarder from China every single day.

Historically, they have also essentially leveraged their nuclear program for more aid. E.g. we're going to develop a nuclear program unless you send us aid.

Well, aid was sent to them and they kept developing nukes. Now, here we are.

To do anything militarily now sadly is a big mistake. That boat has sailed.

China is not going to help us. NK is a "Buffer zone" for them. As long as they have a China friendly regime in NK(and the crazy guy is very pro-China), China is not going to help us.

infact the Chinese have just moved 150,000 men on the NK border to begin preparations to fortify their ally(NK)

http://www.businessinsider.com/china-150000-troops-north-korea-xi-trump-2017-4

China is playing Fox with the United States...they have no intentions of helping us, but they will send hundreds of thousands of men wearing NK military attire to fight a Shadow war against us while claiming they are not involved and are helping us saying their troop build up is just "looking out for their border" blah

If we really wanted to do something about this, we should have done it back in 2005 not now.

Well, China more than anything wants stability in the region. I think they'd prefer NK to not be as blusterous because NK is now justifying a larger US weapon and military presence in the region.

There's been debate as to whether the Chinese troops are on the border with North Korea to show support to NK or to pressure NK. I think arguments can be made on both parts.

j/c.....

I'm willing to bet that if we search the history of the posts here for North Korea (I haven't tried this, but I'm guessing), we'll see that these types of threads always pop up right around this very same time of year, every year - every other year at the very least.

It's the annual rattling of sabers from the Norks; the noise from it is just amplified because of Trump's reactions to it. Rather than just ignoring the blathering idiots in the North, he is responding -- that said, they need responding to. They have continued to grow ever more aggressive without check for many years now -- they're like a child that continuously pushes their boundaries to keep trying to get away with a little more each time..... after enough times, however, you have to slap their hands back.
