I ask this again, what was Kevin Love doing wrong that he's getting (mildly) slighted here? Wasn't able to watch most of the game (stomach issues, don't ask), but Love rebounds the way Thompson is supposed to rebound, passes like we wish our QB passed and is a pretty accurate guy from the outside.

So what gives?

WE DON'T NEED A QB BEFORE WE GET A LINE THAT CAN PROTECT HIM

Nothing in particular, just the fact that the team was rolling without him and Lue chose to keep him on the bench.

IMO, he's a liability defensively (probably more so than he is an advantage offensively) ... especially when Frye, Korver are hitting

He's not a better defender than Frye? Honestly, I think it's just that Lue wanted to ride the hot hands. Frye, Korver and Lebron were hitting everything.

Yeah I think it boils down to the fact that, if it ain't broken, don't fix it...especially when it's working really well.

I was just thinking about it today. We go from looking like a struggling 2nd seed with love and Irving on the floor to looking like the best team in BOTH conferences with 3 bench players all in the 4th, and two all stars on the bench?

And I know I can't be the only one NOT surprised that with kyrie off the floor, we go from struggling defense to championship caliber defense in the blink of an eye.

Cause I don't care what team we're playing. Coming back down 26 to win the game, especially in the playoffs, is hard to do.

And that says way more about kyrie than it does the rest of the team. The dude needs to pull his head out of his ass. He's a point guard, and needs to play like a floor general. And he needs to play some damn defense.

I said last night in second half during the comeback it wasn't coincidence they came back without kyrie, he's such a selfish ballhog, I HATE his floor game, offensive talent for sure, but dude can't pass and won't pass..doesn't do anything to make his teammates better, like I've said before, swap him out for CP3 and this team would be untouchable. Love was resting during the 4th just to get rest, he was a big part of the comeback in the 3rd

i posted in the second half..gave them credit for an amazing comeback sans kyrie, still don't care if he plays or not. I think he should play if things are going well, but if we start to lose that spark and don't have any ball movement or defense, Lue needs to be quick to yank him, because he becomes even more selfish and mistake prone

I am really surprised that Lue had the cahones to sit Irving in the 4th quarter. Any chance that he doesn't start a game? Make him show a willingness to play defense and to pass the ball?

I doubt it but I never expected Irving to sit the entire 4th quarter.

Play some folks who will defend more.

LBJ was a giant in the 4th. Awesome!

According to Love in the presser, Lue asked he and Kyrie if they were ready to go, and they both said "keep it going". Lue said Love and Kyrie were fine with the decision and very supportive of the guys on the floor.

People are going overboard in their ragging on Kyrie.

Yeah he is not playing real well right now, but I can almost guarantee at some point in this post season he will absolutely take over a game at a crucial point and carry us.

and how soon we forget game 7

I disagree. His selfish play puts the Cavs in tough situations. And when his shot isn't falling or he's being selfish, he doesn't try to impact the game in other ways.

I agree. He's a special talent. He can win games on his own. But no matter the heroics in game 7, that's not a license to play like an idiot. The goal is to win it all. It's hard to imagine them going the distance with the way Kyrie is hurting the team.

yea i thought the grizzlies were gonna get swept. not even close. that series could go to 7.

i'm thinking maybe the jazz could close out the clippers in 6 since blake griffin is (again) hurt.

yeah the grizzly matchup was a bad one for SA to pull, they matchup very well. The Conley/Leonard battle was really fun. Reminded me some of the Lebron/Pierce battles

Leonard is easily a top 5 player. He's so incredibly good on both ends of the court. I can't imagine how bad Larry Bird feels about trading him

Who knows bro. There's no way to know if Leonard would've became to the player he is today under those coaches instead of pop

That's true, but he did have some natural talent coming in. He was just so raw offensively. His defensive prowess was well-documented, but his outside game was inconsistent. Usually, that is the last thing to fall into place when a guy has a huge growth spurt like Leonard did (like Anthony Davis as well).

So we finish the 1st quarter with zero assist.

And only down 2.

lol with the awkward silence when the announcers didn't know how to describe it

Our max contract PG has 0 assist.

Zero.

Glad for the sweep!!! Give Lebron some much needed rest.

Somebody tell kyrie how to actually play PG

To be honest, I'm little worried about a potential series with Milwaukee ... everyone knows you can get 4 quarters out of a Buck.

I don't know what he was thinking, but I suppose all is forgiven in a win, especially a sweep. I'm glad the Cavs are going to get some rest now. Let the other teams beat each other up.

Kyrie about shot us to a loss...dude is a horrible pg with no floor game. 25 shot attempts and zero [censored] week of rest which will be nice since Lue seems to be 100% ok playing lebron 45 minutes a game
