1.) Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M
12.) Jonathan Allen, DT, Alabama
33.) Marcus Williams, FS, Utah
52.) DeShone Kizer, QB, Notre Dame
65.) cord Tankersley (or Lewis, Sutton, Moreau... hated this pick)
108.) Rayshawn Jenkins, S, Miami
145.) Jordan Leggett, TE, Clemson (hard to leave Corn Elder on the board)
160.) Rod Johnson, OT, FSU (will take this trade all day long)
181.) Vincent Taylor, DT, OK State (tremendous value, no character issues)
185.) Elijah McGuire, RB, ULL
188.) Jalen Myrick, CB, Minnesota
223.) Amba Etta-Tawo, WR, Syracuse
I would probably of drafted something similar to what you have. Like someone else mentioned, it's the trade down from #12 that's going to define this draft for us. Allen and Hooker were mocked in the top 5 while Howard was mocked in the Top 10 pretty consistently. Peppers is a bit of a wild-card, and I like the potential ... but if any of those three stud out, we're going to regret this more than passing on Haloti Ngata. If Peppers works out, then it's a great move that netted us a first rounder next year.
For me I would of taken Allen. At the end of the college season, Garret and Allen were considered 1a and 1b. That's a heck of a line to build around.
Not sure I would of traded up for Njoku either, but I'm good with it. Probably would of waited on the pick and taken Budda Baker or Marcus Williams here.
The Kizer pick is also what I wanted us to do if we were set on getting a QB. Sitting calmly and seeing what fell to us. Kizer at the spot we got him was a bargin. Everyone else panic traded up to grab their project QBs, and we drafted three first round picks before taking ours. He also graded out pretty much the same as the others in most of the draft reports I've seen.
That said, I probably would of gone with one of the CBs or Safeties left on the board. Get 4 good picks on Defense (which was considered a strength this year) and see what we could do.
