I wouldn't think so. Erving has been nothing but terrible in his two years in the league. Coleman has proven nothing. I'll be happy if we get a conditional 7th round pick for Erving so we don't have to take the cap hit on his contract.

Kinda like it ! Did we resign Pasztor ?

At WR I would have BRITT , Coleman and them ? ? ?

At LB I would have Collins , Kirk , ? ? ? ?

At QB I would rather trade Osweiller some how and keep the kid Hogan .

Very, very weak WR/TE's, so unless we develop a running game I don't see us scoring much...

I'm not sure about Pasztor, just going off who they have listed on the roster and the draft picks.

I think you are going to be pleasantly surprised at TE ..

WR is another story ? Really up in the air at this point .

Can't develop a running game with Kessler under center. Teans stacked the box when we was in there, and we couldn't run.

IMHO, Njoku is a HB/FB type of player, a blocking TE not a catching or a threat to the D's..

We had a chance at OJ and we blew it... no shadow of doubt we will regret it.

Have you watched Njoku at all?

Put it up for him in the end zone and let him go get it.

I think he's going to help our struggles in the red zone immensely. He has world class hops, 35.25" arms, and Kawhi Leonard like hands (maybe not quite that huge)

He also had the best YAC of all TEs in college football last season.

What? Are you serious? What are you basing Njoku being a HB/FB? He's 20 years old and was more productive in terms of receiving than Howard was last year.........

Again your obsession to prove me wrong with google crap and not football just amazes me.

Tell me something I didn't know...Orchard played in college...guess what?

For two seasons in the NFL...his entire career so far he has played OLB not DE. The tape they have been watching has been of Orchard in the NFL. IF they like the tape of his play and transition to the NFL...he will remain an OLB if they do not possibly they will put him back at DE but I don't know if he would remain here.

Got to wait and see. but right away with you I'M WRONG. I know you PM'd me not to BS about the draft but to scold me and tell me how better you are than me. I never received a PM like that usually guys who wish to talk football. SO I REEMED YOU out and now this is your retribution. thumbsup Love your character...lol laugh

I've said multiple times orchard would likely be a DE again but didn't get this kind of response. Not sure why you'd think he would be a Sam. Really struggled in coverage. He was really only a 34 OLB because his primary role was supposed to be the qb. His hips are pretty rough. Probably Shouldve been drafted as a 43 DE only. I just find it hard to believe they would move him to Sam where his weaknesses are part of the skill set. Either way he might not even make the team.

Not to get in the middle of your guy's spat. But I think we'll see Orchard as a backup DE.

They might try him at SAM and DE, but I'm thinking he's gonna end up quickly showing, he's best just putting his hand on the ground and rushing the QB. He was productive doing that in college, hopefully he'll be able to do it here.

IMO he'll battle with Cam Johnson and Nassib and any possible UDFA's for a roster spot. And honestly, i'm kind of excited about it. Orchard showed a little at the end of 2015 IMO. But most of that was pressuring hte QB.

Agreed with most here. Orchard is ill suited to play 4-3 LB and will likely revert to DE. The switch to 4-3 is going to show a few people the door. Cooper and Wright for sure. Orchard quite possibly unless he looks great.

I'm most curious to see how Nassib responds. IMO, he simply wasn't big enough to play 3-4 DE but I think 4-3 caters to him a lot better. I could see him having value as a guy who can be a swing DE or DT. I'm a fan of his hustle and energy so I hope he does well.

Everyone arguing over what spot Nate will play in William's scheme and I'm over here like... I doubt he even makes the team lol. I don't think this staff likes him, maybe Williams does but last year according to:

https://www.sportingcharts.com/nfl/stats/player-defensive-snap-count-stats/2016/

He had a 7.9 participation %.

*EDIT* not a very stable stat to use for my point, I forgot he was injured most of the season.

I don't think he'll make the team either, but wasn't he injured for most of last year? That would explain why he played so few snaps.

I had to Google but yeah, ankle injury against Miami in the early part of the season there. Forgot all about that. I didn't even remember putting him on IR hahaha, damn it sucks getting old!

Yeah, but even at that point, i think he was already backup to like Joe Schobert.

We'll see. Hopefully he shows up with the right attitude, is excited to try and impress Williams, and proves himself worthy. I think he was like a 2nd round pick

I don't know what went on, but a PM is a PM.

You maybe share with a ref if it is totally out of line and threatening. After that, out of bounds.

I guess we will see.

I think he would be a better OLB than Schobert and Davis.
If you note we didn't draft anyone either. If its a competition I think Orchard would win. That's me and it doesn't matter i if the entire board disagrees with me. I'm not here for a contest or anything. I said what I said cause injury aside I thought Orchard made a good transition to OLB and I like him way better than the other two options. I also remember the success Jamir Miller had in the 4-3 in over loads of the outside. I would love to have Collins on one side and Orchard on the other. He also played the run better and better with each game.

If I'm right he will give us some impact. If I'm wrong I don't think he will remain a Brown that long.

jmho that's all.

I think we'll be rotating DE's a lot. And I think Orchard has a good shot at competing with Nassib for that number 3 spot anyway. I bet he'll at least be on the team this year. I guess we'd have him for one more year after this year? 2nd round pick and all.

I do remember when the Giants moved Kiwinuka to OLB regularly. They had JPP, Umenyora, & Justin Tuck and wanted to get another good player on the field. Sometimes he'd line up as a DE, sometimes as a SSLB in their 4-3 scheme. But he was always a risk in coverage.

We shall see I guess.

[quote=predator16]Just thought it would be nice to have a reference point. Up for debate.

QB: Kessler, Osweiler, Mixer, Hogan(ps)

RB: Crow, Duke, 3+ guys for 1 spot maybe one on the ps

WR: Coleman, Britt, Louis, Higgins, Payton, Hall #3-6 could change dramatically. Should be a fun camp battle

TE: Njoku, Devalve, Telfer, Hamlett telfer may have a fight on his hands

OL: joe, bitonio, tretter, zeitler, Coleman, Greco, drango, erving, johnson, etc god it feels good to be deep. This is quite ridiculous actually. We may not be as top heavy as the cowgirls but we might just have the best overall unit top to bottom. Not even really being a homer but our 6th and 7th would start for half the NFL imo. I don't see us carrying more than 9 but combinations of Injuries and the ps should help us stash 2 more like Reiter and Martin maybe.

DE: Garrett, ogbah, nassib, orchard, Holmes, johnson(or sam?) Stacked for now. If orchard and nassibs don't take a step forward we could look for high end depth next draft.

DT: Danny, Bryant, big Larry, meder, coop, brantley, Wright, etc. If coop stays silent, des struggles to regain form l, brantley charged this could be a priority next year. While danny surged this yeah I still am reluctant to say he'll ever be a pro bowl level player. Would be nice to have a stud 3T.

LB: Kirk, Collins, Davis, Schobert, Alexander, carder, burgess, johnson(or de?) If schob or dom show any progression I see Davis being cut. Way too much cap for minimal usage. Especially now that we have peppers.

CB: Joe, Taylor, boddy, Wilson, burley, Hillary. Not exactly confident here. I've always said a good front 7 is necessary to assess the true skill of a secondary. I guess now well find out. If joe doesn't rebound tremendously he's gone and we need to utilize a few of those 5 high picks next year here. The door is open for udfa

S: Peppers, Kindred, Campbell, Reynolds, Powell. I'm more excited than most on peppers. I think we were the ideal fit for him and I spent a lot of time researching the person on top of tape and inthink he's a piece for us. That said I wish we had better true safeties because I'd love to run 3 s sets or at least allow him to rover but I'm not sure he'll be able to with this atrocious position. With how cocky Williams is he will probably still play peppers up and well have to trade off some long tds for highlight plays. Will lose us an extra game or two but maybe win one or two if were lucky.

K: Zane. Parkey is horrendous. Next

P: Colquit
[/q

not sure who mixer is and I didn't know Hillary wanted to play ball for us. Man she must be mad about losing rofl
