Last year we had 19 rookies on our roster...I was wrong as I could not admit that we were in a total rebuild...but we were. 1-15...we both know that could have been 4-5 wins not that it makes it any good...lol but the fact is we got Garrett because of it.
I'm just looking at the prospects of what we have. I think it was an excellent FA period we had. I like Powell, I like the double down at Center with Martin. As well as the obvious. I did want Pryor like most here. But the guy was demanding we out bid ourselves, he did not give us the opportunity to sign him for one year like the Redskins...anyways. He is gone. But ON PAPER our draft was excellent. In my Rankings that I've used for every draft since 2001 and is pretty good. Garrett was #1, Peppers #14 and Njoku was #20. All 3 bring some sort of form of IMPACT which previous drafts were void of I think since KW2... In the early Mocks when football was being played...not all but some drafts had Garrett, Kizer and Peppers in the top 4.
If this Brantly kid is not a piece of crap...he will be a steal. Finally we drafted a Kicker and he was deemed as the best coming out. I like the foundation laid out last year and this year the Impact quality to add to the Quantity of last year. And they have built a War Chest for next year as well! What is there not to like...yeah I get it, we were 1-15 last season but it does not distant the plan which seems to be there. Do we need to win...Heck yeah and I'm not going to predict anything but it could be better than we normally see. Last year we were competitive in most games this year I hope we are competitive in our Division...not games.
We have no choice but to be patient and see how it enfolds.
Just keep in mind all the Negatives of this regime being said should be held to the same standard of we don't know yet.

I think it too early to say our drafts have been good or that the FO is good.
I am not saying they are bad. However, the evidence is that the Browns were 1 and 15 last year. I get why fans feel the need for blind optimism, but I am more of a "results" type of person.
Me too. The coaching staff needs to start doing their job. Just jerking your chain my man. I think all is going to be fine on both ends.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn. GM Strong

I had a feeling my post might be misconstrued. I did not say they were bad. In fact, I think I even said......."I'm not saying they are bad."
I said it is too early to label them as being good. We don't know yet.
For the most part, last year's rookie class was disappointing on the field. People are jacked this year because we took a lot of big names and Sparq guys. But, we don't know how they will do on the field.
I am NOT predicting bad things. I am saying one thing only: "it's way too early to say that this FO is doing a good job."

W Its been very tough, but this regime, the Harvard boys combined with Hue Jackson and his The results from this regime are a 1-15 record. I guess thats good if you don't care about winning games.
It's supposed to be hard! If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great!

No the only quote from PRYOR was that he gave us a chance to up our long term contract...nothing about matching the Redskins offer.
Vers...to help you understand my enthusiasm with this regime and the Browns in general is pretty much covered by this article.http://bleacherreport.com/articles/27072...tm_campaign=nfl

W Its been very tough, but this regime, the Harvard boys combined with Hue Jackson and his The results from this regime are a 1-15 record. I guess thats good if you don't care about winning games. I care about winning games ... in the future. To do that, you need to strip things down and rebuild from the ground up. Not throw the Turkey in the microwave year after year and expect an instant Thanksgiving dinner. Take a look at the Cubs. Theo Epstein was hired in 2011. He stripped things down and the next year, they lost 101 games. The following year, they lost another 96. At that point, if the Browns showed that kind of "success", people would be calling for heads and we'd be starting all over again. By Year 3 (2014), they were starting to see some returns on their investments but they still finished well below 500. It wasn't until the fourth year that things really started going for them and they made it to the NLCS. The following year, they were the best team in Baseball ... but it took them 5 years to get to that point. Are we going to have that kind of patience?

Quoted for truth. While I'm sure we are all hoping for the best and while I believe I see some growth from last off season to this one, the jury is far from being in.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

I don't even care to this point (yes I like what they're doing)
I say just let the FO/Coaches run their game for at least 5 years.
At least then we can cut out the "4 coaches/FOs in 6 years" talk.
Just keep someone (these guys) in place for an extended period. Please.
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?
