Don't close your eyes, or the Cavs will drop 6-8 points in seconds.

They need to stop airing these Paul George Gatorade commercials.
It's fake news.

If Korver was any further away for that shot he'd have had to pay extra for shipping!

man I was actually starting to feel bad for toronto. Cavs made them look like a community college team..Casey is a horrible coach, he should have been pounding us inside the whole game, they thought that small ball lineup they used in first round would work, pfft...small ball is our specialty, ...should have played us big and forced us to defend the paint, JV was shredding us. Not going to complain one bit..If Lowry is hurt this series is over in 4, completely healthy 5 max..Playoff Lebron is scary, it just comes too easy for him.. If i had one complaint, lebron should have sat the whole fourth when we went up 30. The 3 ball is so demoralizing when it's going in like it does for us..eventually you have to realize you have to close out or the game is over quickly...Toronto still hasn't figured that out... How bad is derozan. Dude just can't handle the moment and I think the Cavs are 100% in their heads.. They say all the right things to the media about Cavs being tough and if we play our game we can beat them etc, but deep down they know they can't, you can see it on their faces.

I humbly apologize for my criticism of the Cavs during the regular season.
Not only are they winning, they are actually playing good D.
Two small nits for the team...rest LeBron more and have spurts in the game where you run the offense through Love.
Other than that..LeBron is definitely 1b.
How about MJ having most playoff points in only 179 games? Are you kidding me.

bad news for Tony Parker. I hate to see that
"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

I'm telling you, he wants one more ring and then he's joining the Browns He'll probably never catch Jordan in most people's eyes, but if he studs out on the Browns- LEGENDARY.

He won't catch Jordan but he can be closer than anyone else. To me he's already 1b and that's pretty damn good. Look, Jordan was a once a century player. If you had the privilege of watching him it's going to be hard to put anyone above him. The thing that makes Jordan so great was that he always played his best when it mattered most. Unfortunately LeBron has several blemishes on his career in that category. But what we are seeing now is a very mature LeBron who understands his playing days are closer to being over than not. He understands his legacy is at stake. It's why I think they have a better shot against the Warriors this year than last year. And if Lue keeps running him into the ground his playing days will be over even faster.

Not sure about that. Part of it is retiring, and letting your legend take off after that. Part of it is generational too. Everyone says Michael is the greatest because he won 6 championships, but then completely forget that Bill Russell won 11. Probably because most fans of Jordan never grew up watching Russell. When today's generation grows up, Lebron could be the Legendary one, while Jordan might be more known for a crying meme. If Lebron wins one more, he'll have 4 with several other Eastern Conference Championships. He's never lost in the first round of the playoffs. He's set all kinds of records. His scoring prowess is nearly is as good as Jordan's, but his passing ability is just as good as some of the best point guards ever. He also has a decent chance of beating Kareem's all-time scoring record, and I think that will be huge. Until then though, let's just win at Toronto on Friday and go from there.

You're letting your Cavs fandom cloud the picture. You strike me as someone who's around middle age so I'm assuming you saw Jordan play. Very simple question...who do you think was better?
IMO, I think it's a pretty easy question to answer and that is in no way a slight on LeBron. He's a close second, but I don't think he'll ever pass him.

Honestly, Lebron. I think he's the better all-around player. I get the whole 'Game on the line, who do you take' aspect of it. Jordan was just the better clutch shooter. But for the entire rest of the game though, I'd take Lebron. Edit: the board is having a real hard problem displaying this for some reason?

Well, there's no question that Lebron is the best small forward ever to play the game.
I think playoff performances matter. Jordan has the ultimate trump card: 6 finals appearances, 6 finals wins.
But I never heard about jordon carrying a team to the finals like Lebron did in 07. Who was the second best player on that roster, boobie Gipson? Big Z? Come on.
But who was the best team they played against in the finals? The Jazz with Stockton and Malone?
The problem is context. Lebron just hit second all time in scoring. All he has to is average 21 points over the next 10 playoffs games and he's gonna psss jordan in scoring.
Also, while Jordan holds the record with less playoff games played, he's a shooting guard. So he avarraged something like 4-5 shots more per game than Lebron, who is more of a point forward with his facilitating.
In addition, Lebron has NEVER been bounced out of the first round.
Right now I think Lebron is definitely #2. But if he wins another title this year, I'm personally putting him over MJ.
MJ never had to play against two mvps, 4 all stars on the same team.
I might be biased, I'll admit. When Lebron was drafted by cleveland I was in the 10th or 11th grade. So I remember watching Lebron all the time. I've watched some of the finals reruns of Jordan and pippen, but I only remember seeing Jordan live on tv when he was with the wizards on the backend of his career.

He has 300 more assists than Jordan in 20-some more games.

I am not going to rank the best players of all-time. However, I mentioned earlier that I never saw LeBron playing w/more focus than has been in this year's playoffs. He might even be playing better than ever before. I also forgot to add this his desire seems to be at an all-time high.
At this point in his career, LeBron is thinking about his legacy. The fact that he might be in the conversation for greatest of all-time is almost assuredly a motivating factor and a driving force.
The bottom line for me as a fan of the Cavs is that this is damn good news for our team. Because, I really believe we have a legitimate shot at repeating. I am not saying we will, but I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if we went back-to-back!

I don't think it's fair to rank #1 or #2 because there are so many variables. Give me an unranked "Mount Rushmore" of the best NBA players or Top 10.
I know a lot of people don't like Tony Kornheiser, but he's a Magic Johnson guy. He'd take him #1 overall in a fantasy draft. The guy could play any position, pure leader, winner, makes everyone better around him and could drop 35 if he had to. Does that make him better than Jordan? Not really, but it depends.
I think Lebron winning one in Cleveland against a 73-win team puts him on the Mount Rushmore of NBA GOATimers. Three rings and three Finals MVPs and has time to add more.

I also think that it is just different eras.
In Jordan's day, pretty much NOBODY could or would launch from the foul line to dunk. Him doing that and the stir it caused it the entire reason for the name Air Jordan and his logo.
Last night, I believe Iman Shumpert did the exact same thing.
There was a WOW factor surrounding Jordan that had shockwaves of influence. It was like watching a young Tiger Woods, or maybe even a fresh faced Mike Tyson.... you saw a level of athleticism that we just hadn't seen before. I'm pretty sure it was his dunking that spawned the dunk contests you see every year in the All-Star games and what not (ok, Darryl Dawkins and even Spudd Webb may have helped with that, too, lol). Today, you see that level of athleticism almost everywhere. The exceptional things he did have become common place - that speaks both to his influence as generations of kids have worked to copy him, and also the fact that his level of athleticism is much more prevalent today.
Who is better? I think Jordan still has the better career so far, but if you put young Jordan on the court with LeBron, that Air Jordan logo would have to be changed to include a silhouette of LeBron coming right behind him at Mach 3 to swat the ball off the backboard before it goes in.
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

NBA is 1000x more athletic than Jordans era, If Lebron played when Jordan did, he would have been alot more accomplished, I mean guys now are so much bigger, faster, and stronger. Jordan was 215lbs soaking wet. Physically Jordan couldn't do anything Lebron can't do better. Jordan was physically and skillfully dominant in his era, but Lebron is in his, I think Lebron could be much more dominant in Jordans era than Jordan in this era. It's really a tough choice, Jordan won only when he had a great team and legendary coach, Lebron took teams that would be lottery to the nba finals under a video director coaching. He won in spite of Spoelstra. He took a rookie NBA headcoach to the finals one year and won the next with rookie coach. Jordan can't claim any of that. That and how much lebron makes everyone better is why i put him ahead of jordan, hes more like magic anyways in that regards, Kobe was more the Jordan clone

Guys that grew up with Jordan will prefer him, younger people will probably prefer Lebron. I know you're a bit older than most guys on the board, so it makes sense that you think Magic is better.

Rooted for the Knicks, the Suns, The Jazz, The Heat, whoever was playing the Bulls. I guess I liked the Knicks the most, cause they are local and I liked Ewing, John Starks, Charles Oakley, Larry Johnson, Allan Houston, Charlie Ward, Chris Childs, and so on

Glad the game is at 7 and the Tribe game is at 8:15. Less period of "channel switching" haha.
I really feel like the Toronto crowd won't make any difference. Their team is already deflated and outmatched. Gotta keep bringing that tempo though and making them shots.
It seems like when we're scoring three pointers, we're playing good defense. When this happens, teams just simply can't hang with us.
