Sometimes we view people by how we get along w/them on here and make determinations about them that are probably far from factual.
Then reality steps up and smacks us in the face.
So...........despite our board dispute......I really do hope you get through this and lead a long, productive, and happy life. I'll be in your corner if you need me.

I am sorry to hear what you are going thru. I am glad you are doing better and I hope and pray you stay well. I lost my dad to a heart attack last August 26th, 2006 at age 59. It was a very very heart breaking time. I am glad you are doing better and I will pray for a speedy recovery. Take care EO!

I'll pray for you. Good Luck and hope that you're back posting at your regular rate sooner rather than later.

hey eotab-i hade something similar, only not heart, about about 5 yrs ago. In the beginning it seems devastating, but you'll end up being back for training camp, just all the other injured Brownies!
Good Luck, and do your rehab!! Definitely do your rehab! You'll come back stronger than before just like KII did.

Whew! I hope I'm back for good - I felt like crapola when I made the post, deep down I was wondering if I was going to make it. Turned out my lungs never opened up enough so that when I got home I simply wasn't getting enough O2 and my body did a Modell and simply closed up shop.
They finally let me out 7/13, still have to deal with blood clots that they found and some lung issues.
Couch Girl - I thought about you - we're still on just delayed.
But most of all thank you for your prayers...even you Vers...lol we aren't mortal enemies, actually we're just a bunch of Browns fans.
Funny thoughts that go through your head - between the drugs, and just the thought of dying. I did lament that I might not be there to see our turn around. I also did wonder if I could still observe from heaven (why I assume I would be in heaven is beyond me, but I did take Communion ) Then I started thinking if everyone would know that it was me that would make that kick by our oppenents suddenly veer left to miss the uprights. Wierd stuff - but the Browns were in my thoughts...
I guess I'll be posting a little more often. Right now I just want to breathe normal and get on with my rehab.
Divot maybe we can get on the links around September???
Well thank you all with the well wishes and prayers - everyone pretty much are good people, The Browns do have the greatest fans....

It's good to see you back and at em' eotab. I can't speak for everyone, but I was getting pretty worried. Hope you continue progressing.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Glad to see you back. That breathing thing is kind of important don't forget that. Even if you could help the Browns win from heaven don't go there just yet OK. Take care. Continued prayers are coming your way.

Glad to see you are feeling better! Here's to your rehab going well and many many more years of cheering on our (winning?!)Browns! I lurk more than I post, but I still think of all of us Browns fans as friends. Something like this always puts stuff in perspective for everyone. I'm a pup (21) compared to a lot of you guys (why I don't post a lot), but it's good to see everyone put their opinions aside when it matters. I'll use this as part of my motivation toward living a healthier lifestyle, as my dad has heart problems as well and that stuff is hereditary. I'm just glad to see you aren't as stubborn as he is and will get help when you know something is wrong. Getting under medical care as soon as possible probably saved your life. I always enjoy your upbeat opinions (though I am a little bit more moderate in my thoughts) and your personality brings alot to the board. Look forward to seeing you post

wow eo glad to hear you are doing better! I was wondering where you were. Take it one day at a time. Hopefully you are not like me when you recover b/c I always rush back. Ya know... one of the crazies that try walking the day after surgery, or when I was on 3 liters of oxygen... Not really the brightest of ideas and there is no shame in taking your time. Anywho get better!!!! I really enjoy reading your posts and have learned so much from you over the years.

Thanks again all for the well wishes...since some lessons and advice was brought up let me add a few of my own.
Diabetes is probably #1 in creating heart problems and clogged arteries. Also cigarrette smoking pretty much simulates the same damage of diabetes. Stress I'll add as a 3rd party as it has taken its toll on me as well.
Cholesterol is over rated in this disease. What you got to watch out for is a sudden Increase in your normal cholesterol readings. That means your body is using the cholesterol and about the only thing it gets used for is clogging your arteries. But if you got high cholesterol - as long as the inside of your arteries are nice and slippery it just slides on by. Diabetes, Smoking and Stress scratch up the inside of those arteries making it rough and now a little or a lot of cholesterol will stick.
Don't be a Macho man/woman - I was 43 in 99 and refused to believe I was having a heart attack. 11 hours later I finally succombed to take hospital care - I had 100% blockage of the Aorta and quite frankly should not be here. This time I waited about 1/2 hour only hoping and praying that the pain would go away before awakening my wife to take me to the hospital. I have permanent damage from the first one...the second has created no damage.
Listen to your body...exercise is important, keep active. All the work I have had on my heart since the original attack was due to little reactions while I was golfing (walking not riding). My stress test would be great but the cardiologist would ask me - Anything unusual? and I would state...you know what the first couple of holes I would get a little burn when breathing - like it was freezing air - then it would go away but always the first couple of holes...boom he would send me for Angie Plasty (the only true check up) and I would have 90 or 95% blockage somewhere.
These were my 6th and 7th stents placed right before my original blockage which was opened and held opened with 3 stents (normally 100% is by-pass status but these were friends of the family and they knew I had my own business so they said they would try to do the stents...6 hours later they got it done.) But these two new stents were put in overlapping a bit of the three making 5 in a row. It was just enough to experience my sons HS graduation...the next morning there I was clutching my chest saying Oh No something is wrong...bad wrong.
Along with my lung problems in my recovery has been a nasty cough...needless to say my ribs hurt - worst than from any football game I ever played in.
Those of you over-weight...lose it - don't go crazy with measuring but you can make a difference with some discipline and a lot of excercise. If not it could lead to Diabetes and trust me you don't want Diabetes.
Those of you who smoke...the party is over. Make all the excuses you want...gosh knows I made them all on why not to quit. It was so easy after having my heart attack
Stress? Not an expert but who is? Most doctors side step this one cause they have no treatment. Take it easy - don't let anything bother you. The worst situation will not get better or worse by getting worked over from it. Just deal with it the best you can and live life - that is the important factor...life, who cares about a 401k or a job - things will work out - they always do.
Well thanks all - I can't wait to be normal again - it will come
