Are you including all of the death comments that Ted Nugent made against Obama and Hillary? Or do only democratic celebrities apply?

I try to limit it to celebrities who hold up the severed head of our President and not to those who run their mouths.

More disgusting actions by your people...

Al Franken refuses to cancel appearance with Kathy Griffin

Despite saying he opposes Kathy Griffin’s beheaded Trump stunt, US Senator Al Franken is today refusing to back out of an upcoming event with the seemingly-radioactive comedian.
Though her potentially career-killing move to hold a severed head resembling the president has been widely condemned even by the Minnesota Democrat himself, Franken told CNN he’ll appear with Griffin nonetheless.

I can understand however how Al Franken and Kathy Griffin,
being brainwashed, emotionally disturbed Democrat comedians, would be drawn together to support and nurture each other at this time. notallthere

Yet Ted Nugent was invited to the White House. A person who asked for the deaths of those who oppose Trump were rewarded by Trump.

I love how the Snowflakes on this board are telling us that random celebrities reflect people on the left, and that we need to own it. But haven't owned their associations with Clint Eastwood and Ted Nugent. Maybe they've realized that celebrities don't speak for anyone but that celebrity.

Check out the late night crowd of comedian shows.

They are mean spirited, degrading of their targets, vicious and vulgar. All the things that make Liberals laugh with delight.

CNN fires Kathy Griffin after gory anti-President Trump photo shoot

The apology might have come too late: FoxNews reports that Squatty Potty, a firm that makes chidlren's bathroom products and had recently hired Griffin as a spokesperson is dumping her now.

Sure you can... and you should. Like I did in this thread. Like Swish did in this thread. Like any rational person with a moral code and standards can and should.

Laugh when it's funny, condemn when it crosses your personal line. That's what happened this time, and seeing her lose a gig over it felt right to me. If she loses more gigs over this, I won't be anywhere near her corner. It's called natural consequences. She did something that was ethically and politically repugnant. If she suffers fallout from that, she has no one to blame but that gal in the mirror.

But I believe we are all free to laugh... until it ISN'T funny.

This was not funny. Not in the least.

As a fan of Woody Allen, R. Kelly and Francis Coppola, of course you can. Just because you support someone one time, or even a few, doesn't mean you sign off on every stupid thing they do. Heck, find me a Beatles fan who supports John Lennon ever getting with Yoko. Some things you just can't defend.

Old Photo Shows Kathy Griffin Hanging out With Trump
BY BENJAMIN ARIE
ON MAY 31, 2017 AT 1:41PM

Hollywood D-list “celebrity” Kathy Griffin is trying desperately to recover after her publicity stunt against Donald Trump went horribly wrong.

Now, a photo from Griffin’s past proves that while she’s trying to “save face,” the term “two faced” is definitely more fitting.

The image showing Griffin enthusiastically posing with Trump is quickly making the rounds online. According to the Daily Mail, the snapshot was taken in 2010, when Griffin and “Apprentice” competitor Brandy Kuentzel posed with the future president at a golf outing.

Video of Photoshoot Shows Griffin High-Fiving Over “Dead” Trump

“It’s amazing how many people, all of them celebrities, had no problems whatsoever with Trump while he was just a billionaire buying them dinners and cocktails and inviting them to his parties,” stated conservative pundit Derrick Wilburn.

“But now since he’s won an election all of a sudden he’s Satan incarnate,” he continued. “But Kathy you should know by now, the internet is forever.”

It’s a very valid point. If Trump is such a terrible person, why were left-leaning figures lining up to pose and shake his hand when they thought he was one of them?

The list celebrities and politicians who had no problem with “The Donald” before he came out as a conservative is long. As the National Review reported, famous liberal Al Sharpton acted like Trump’s best friend during the 1980s and 1990s.

Even Barack Obama seemed to admire Trump before the 2016 election. While attending Harvard, a young Obama spoke in glowing terms about the business tycoon who would go on to win the White House.

Videos and comments made by Trump before he ran for president show that his political views have not changed dramatically over the past couple decades. What has changed, however, is his job title.

Liberals seem willing to attack anyone and everyone who has an “R” next to their name. The same celebrities who adored Trump in past years simply cannot stand the fact that a Republican took the White House — and they will stop at nothing to smear and attack a conservative president.

what a crap article.

you realize how many people this applies to?

and it applies to me. i've made it perfectly clear on this board that prior to Trump's political career nonsense, everybody wanted to be like him, or hang out with him because he's a billionaire doing typical billionaire things.

so many rappers, including my favorite, always plugged him in the songs.

"i'm donald trump in a white tee, and white 1's, the conversation is money n---, you want some?" - Young Jeezy, 2005.

but just because somebody was tight or liked the guy does NOT mean that once they start their political career, all of a sudden those people should be cool with him, or support his ridiculous policies.

because everybody 2010 and back knew trump as a billionaire TV celebrity, not Trump the horrible politician and policymaker, not trump the politician trying to take healthcare from 23 million, not trump the president trying to cut funding for the disabled and kids, not trump the russian puppet.

and it's pathetic that you of all people, who try to act all fair and balance (fake) would post something like this without understanding context.

but it's not surprising. it's expected. you post ridiculous things from ridiculous authors all the time.

I think the part about Kathy Griffin being a two-faced hypocrite is spot on.

The article is biased, sure. The site is called conservativetribune for crying out loud. Sorry but there is no rule that I must only post unbiased sources (which are surprisingly hard to come by.) I'll use MSNBC, HuffingtonPost, Breitbart, conservativetribune, and everything inbetween.

You (and CHS) make a very good point. I will have to reconsider my initial comments.

One thing I do find a bit ironic is that at least Griffin finally helped us find the line of what is "too far"... I've seen all manner of hateful, vulgar, nasty things thrown at Trump, his family, and his supporters over the last 8 months with no consequences. At least Griffin has helped us establish that simulated beheadings is off the table, so there is in fact, a line. I was beginning to wonder......

Wondering where the line was drawn when it came to attempted humor. Because everyone obviously remembers all the late-show hosts, comedians and celebrities who said hateful, vulgar, and nasty things in vitreous rants that were tried to pass-off for "comedy", when other Presidents were in office. tongue

I don't remember Johnny Carson saying anything about our Presidents being holsters for Russian ...

I don't remember Letterman having a Hitler impersonation to refer to our Presidents.

Maybe I missed the show with Leno carrying around Obama's severed head.

You mentioned the last eight months as a time frame for beginning to wonder. I was simply asking if you began to wonder when Ted Nugent was making saying things about Obama and Hillary well before that?

Point being this isn't something new and it seems many who have posted against refuse to comment or ignore the comments made by the other side.

You see, Nugent crossed that line a long time ago and set the bar, but even you seem to be indicating that you see this in an eight month time frame based on one politician. It's not.

I was beginning to wonder where the line was for Trump. Ted Nugent had his Discovery Channel show cancelled, not sure how much of that was bad ratings and how much was his controversy.. whatever.

Maybe it's just the volume that makes it seem disproportionate.. you have a select few celebrities being vulgar about Obama and Hillary where as you have 100s of them doing it to Trump... so yes, I was wondering where the line was for vulgarity directed at Trump and his family.

That's a good point actually. Politics get far dirtier than I prefer, even if I get my hands muddy from time to time myself. Many of us probably have more in common than we realize.

You can see the situation play out on this board. We're at each other throats in Palus Politicus but over in Pure Football... wait, bad example.

So you're one of those people who wish to isolate it to celebrities rather than look big picture. Maybe you should look at the things Infowars, Breitbart and FOX News were saying about Obama. The right was doing just as bad and worse. And hey, Bannon actually received a job in The White house for his efforts.

My point is that many only wish to look at one side of the issue. Just look at this thread. Nugent repeatedly asked for or wished the death of Obama and Clinton. His actions were just as bad as Kathy Griffin.

Yet when that's pointed out, you see those on the right dismiss it, ignore it or try to rationalize it. (40)

What Kathy Griffen did was terrible. But what Nugent did was no less terrible. When people can stand equally against what both did maybe we'll actually be making some progress. Until then, the entire thing shows people will excuse their own no matter the circumstances.

Man, if we could just spend half the energy we utilize to point fingers and hate on each other to actually fix this country, it might actually get into good shape again.

Tell it to Barron...

Barron Trump, 11, was watching TV with mum Melania when the comedian’s photo appeared on the screen holding his dad’s fake severed head.

Barron panicked and screamed, “Mommy, Mommy!”, Trump family sources told the site.

“He’s 11. He doesn’t know who Kathy Griffin is and the head she was holding resembled his dad”, the insider said.

President Trump branded Griffin “sick” and said she “should be ashamed of herself”.

He wrote: “Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!”

Of course when Nugent said those things about Obama Malia and Sasha weren't his daughters in The White House. You're an odd little man.

Claiming ‘bullying’ by Trump over gruesome joke, Griffin says she’s standing up for free speech
Andrew Bahl 7 hours ago

Calling her firing from CNN “censorship,” comedian Kathy Griffin said in a press conference Friday that she would stand up for free speech in the face of fallout from a controversial image of President Trump she tweeted this week.

“I am not afraid of Donald Trump. He is a bully,” Griffin said.

While Griffin expressed remorse for posting an image of herself holding a bloody mask of Trump, she also accused Trump and his family of “bullying” her, and hit out at CNN, which on Wednesday fired her from its New Year’s Eve broadcast.

Fallout from her tweet was quick and severe, with celebrities and members of both parties criticizing Griffin for going too far. Trump responded to the post Wednesday morning, tweeting that Griffin should “be ashamed of herself.”

“My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!” the tweet read.

Other Trump family members also condemned the post. Trump’s son Donald Jr. called the image “disgusting,” and said that the video Griffin later posted as an apology was “phony.” First lady Melania Trump said the video makes one “wonder about the mental health of the person who did it.”
Kathy Griffin, center, and her attorney, Lisa Bloom, speak during a press conference at The Bloom Firm on June 2, 2017, in Woodland Hills, Calif. Griffin held the press conference after a controversial photoshoot — in which she held a bloodied mask of President Trump — to address alleged bullying by the Trump family. (Photo by Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images)

A tearful Griffin said she had been contacted by the Secret Service about the matter, and that she feared for the future of her career, noting that multiple venues have already canceled her shows. She also said that she has received death threats.

“The death threats that I’m getting are constant and they are detailed,” she said. “Today it’s me. Tomorrow, it could be you.”

Griffin said most of the criticism stemming from her post is because she is a women.

“Cut the crap. This wouldn’t happen to a guy. … I have been living with this my whole career,” Griffin said, later adding that she was used to “older white guys trying to keep me down my whole life.”

While Griffin did not say whether she was filing suit against CNN or Trump, her lawyer accused Trump of trying to silence those who disagree with him.

“The message is clear: criticize the president, lose your job,” attorney Lisa Bloom said
, adding that she has received hate mail for representing Griffin in the matter.

she doesn't get it.

she could've done almost anything else, and nobody would've cared. but she decided to do a photoshoot with images of her holding Trump's decapitated head.

i don't buy the crap that Trump is somehow bullying her, but even if he was, i don't remember Trump doing a photoshoot holding Griffin's head in his hands.

flip side: Trump is playing the masses trying to pull his son into this with the sympathy card. that nonsense might work with Trump supporters, but it's stupid overall.

plenty of people (comedians and such) criticize the president and don't lose their jobs. they've been doing that since TV hit the american household. probably further back with radio.

Trump is definitely trying to work the sympathy card with his son. but Griffin is the only reason any of the negative things is happening to her, and her alone.

She should really just let this be. Either way she is going to take a big hit short term financially. She will still get bookings but at this exact moment she is radioactive. Just like the Dixie Chicks incident IMHO. If Trump somehow turns it all around she may be done, but if things continue to go as bad as they have been, especially if he gets impeached or found guilty of a high crime, this will all be forgotten.
