Bridgestone will be will be wild!
I certainly don't expect the Preds to win the Championship, but it's wonderful to see this city so excited. It's the first time they've ever played for the Stanley Cup and with the stadium being right on Broadway, the feeling travels all the way up Music row. Broadway Street would be pretty awesome if the were to ever win the cup. That's such a fun city. I'm glad they've embraced the Preds. That kinda thing is HUGE for the NHL.

I couldn't even process it.
Just cruising along.
Then bam 20 seconds in. Easy goal.
Alright whatever..
2 on 1. Goal.
Alright guys.. calm dow.. 2 on 1... goal.
Sigh.
Also, never thought I'd hear the phrase "Catfish Crotch Concealment" so many times in my life. Let alone one night.
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

Arent Broadway and Music Row two different things?? Broadway is where all the cool honky tonks are(tootsies and Western World are my favorites) but music row is where all the old studios are

You are correct. Point being, although I didn't make it clear in my post, is that the feelings and celebration goes from Broadway all the way to music row. For an example, Alan Jackson is doing a free concert on Broadway tonight.
While you can connect Alan Jackson to Music Row, he certainly isn't associated to the honky tonks of Broadway. I can see where it sounded confusing.
Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Was just trying to make sure i had it right, the firt time I went I thought music row was where all the honky tonks were. Took me a second time to understand that music row was off Broadway. Was down there the day after Christmas the year before last and the night we were on Broadway the Preds had played the R Wings. Seemed to be more Wings fans than Preds fans , at least down on Broadway.

The way the game played out surprised me just a bit. I figured the Preds would come out hyped up and maybe get a goal or two lead and then when that high wore off and everything settled down the Pens would take over. When the Pens go that first goal I thought it would deflate the Preds. Next game is pretty crucial. On a side note. I really wish the enforcers were still around. PK would have been picking his teeth up off the ice after that little BS punk move at the end of game. Show some freaking class.

Show some freaking class. Uh, it's hockey. UH you obviously have never played or know much about hockey. As brutal of a game as it can be there is a certain code of honor in the game. When there were enforcers, for the most part the players kind of policed themselves. It was a punk move with the game already being over

It was a punk move, but I do believe that's what's expected. Why else would teams have needed enforcers?
I lived in a Dayton Ohio suburb most of my life. We had a team back then named The Dayton Gems. My cousin ran the ticket booth. As such I had the opportunity to watch a LOT of hockey games. The enforcers were there to protect the other players from such things because, well, it was a large part of the game.
As much as it may pain you, there's valid reason for an old saying...... "I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out".

I am not talking about fighting , I am fine with fighting obviously if I am calling for the return of enforcers. I am talking about the crap Subban pulled after the game was over . Hockey has always been "we will beat the crap out of each other on the ice, but then when the game is over we shake hands and have a beer(or 12)

It was a punk move... but when you are the new guy, the underdog, and you are playing one of the big boys with the best player and you get a 5-1 win... I can kind of understand him wanting to point that out to him... he may not get another shot.
This series reminds me of when the Hurricanes won the cup in 2006.. they weren't supposed to be there and Raleigh went nuts. Unfortunately they weren't able to sustain that success and Carolina now has a relatively small but passionate fan base.. but most games are far from sell-outs.

Quote above by DC: “This series reminds me of when the Hurricanes won the cup in 2006” Carolina used to be the Hartford Whalers. The only NHL team I ever rooted for. I made it to probably a dozen games in the 80s. And it was the old “Build me a new Coliseum or I’m moving the team” routine. (by owner Pete Karmanos) He was gonna move the team regardless. I’m a sports jinx. Fear me or feel my wrath.

That was a damn good game!
It seems like the Preds finally found their intensity, and now they're matching the Pens blow for blow.
I hope they can sustain this for another two games.

My sister's boyfriend is a HUGE Pens fan, he's from outside of pittsburgh, and my sister became one due to him. Luckily she's kept her Browns allegiance.
I was listening to a Pens radio guy, Mark Madden, in the car yesterday and he portrayed a stereotypical arrogant Pitt fan. He continued to discredit the Preds, and said they have no business doing what they did to the Pens. He said the Pens were playing down to the level of the Preds.
I hope Nashville wins.

This thing is going seven, and that makes me happy.
I still think at the end of this series, the firepower of Pittsburgh will probably be the deciding factor, but Nashville is capable of pulling this off.

Hey, we have bad breath!
If I was Subban, just before I took the ice I'd eat a spoonful of tuna with some raw garlic, then make it a point of breathing in Sid's face.

Pittsburgh does have a really bad tendency of letting off the gas vs stepping on teams' throats.
That said... man they looked beat up in that last game. I'd swear I could skate and break out the puck faster than Maata did.

WOO HOO!!!! One for the thumb!!! I will say honestly that this may be an end to an incredible run. WE are going to lose some players to free agency and the entry draft. Not a whole lot down at Wilkes Barre. And with his concussion problems I could see Sid hanging up his skates as a three time champion. The Preds are loaded with young talent as well as a couple teams out there , including The Blue Jackets. I think the Caps are going to trade Ovi and rebuild.
