All that you say is true.
However, many people believe the rights of states are infringed upon by federal law and that federal law should not impede the rights of states. I don't know anyone who believes that. People I know believe there are things the Federal Government should handle and there are things the Feds should not be involved with. Those are to be handled at the State level.

But while it's the law, then it's the law.... and failure to enforce it, should be a criminal offense.

It happened before in our Nation where States refused to follow Federal Law. They called it Succession.
Today they call it Sanctuary.

It seems we see this the same way.

Actually today they called it migrant working. They're basically used as modern day slaves. And most surely it won't end well in the USA with an authoritarian government in place.

They're basically used as modern day slaves. How bad are things in Mexico and Latin America that millions would fight and risk death to come here to essentially be slaves? You'd think with the availability of communications and phone cards and such that somebody would get the word back to Mexico to stay home....
