# Annual Cleveland Browns Blood Drive

“We had a competitive 2017 offseason program, and we are eager to continue that hard work and share it with our fans in Berea during training camp,” said Head Coach Hue Jackson. “While we are pleased with what we have been able to accomplish so far, we must carry that high level of focus, intensity and desire as both coaches and players throughout the year to reach our potential. We look forward to having an exciting training camp that will prepare us well to compete on Sundays.”

In addition to an upgraded training camp layout that includes more than twice as many seats as previous years, the Browns have modified the ticketing process to ensure as many fans as possible are able to receive an up-close and personal view of the team’s preparations for the 2017 season.

“We have spent a significant amount of time discussing how we can really elevate the training camp experience for our fans, especially as it is a unique time for our team, coaches, players and fans to directly interact with one another each day,” said Senior Vice President of Marketing and Media Dave Freeman. “To create the best atmosphere for everyone, including our football team, we made significant changes to our seating and viewing areas, as well as adjusted the registration process, so fans can plan accordingly yet still have the opportunity to freely attend and have a great view of our practices.”

For 2017, the Browns have changed the field layout and incorporated additional seating throughout the venue to offer more fans a quality view and experience during training camp, highlighted by an approximately 1,250 seat grandstand with an awning to provide shade. The seating structure is complemented by a standing-room area at the top.

Browns fans may secure prioritized access by registering for tickets online and downloading the Browns Mobile App. Once registered, fans will receive their tickets through the Browns Mobile App to access practice. While registering for tickets is strongly recommended, the team will also grant Cleveland fans admittance to practice sessions on a walk-up basis, as space permits.

Browns 2017 season ticket members will have an exclusive window to register for open practices from June 20-21 prior to public availability opening at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 22.

All tickets to training camp will be accessible through the Browns Mobile App. Printed tickets will not be available for training camp in 2017.

On Friday, Aug. 4, FirstEnergy Stadium will host the Orange & Brown Scrimmage, offering fans a unique chance to enjoy practice in the heart of downtown Cleveland. The stadium practice will be a full-pads scrimmage format in 2017.

The Browns’ largest open session returns to Cleveland after extending opportunities to fans in nearby regions through the Orange & Brown Scrimmage in Columbus the past two seasons and the 2014 Family Day at University of Akron’s InfoCision Stadium.

Free registration for the Orange & Brown Scrimmage opens to season ticket members on June 27 and to all fans on June 29. The practice will begin at 5 p.m. and will conclude with select autograph opportunities.

Fans will have the opportunity to register for prioritized access for up to three practices in Berea, along with a maximum of four guests, as space permits. Parties wishing to attend more than three practices or book for groups of six-or-more people are encouraged to contact the Browns ticket office directly (440-824-3434).

When arriving to open practices, fans can access the Browns training facility through the Beech Street entrance, with gates opening one hour before each session starts. Membership-services stations will also be available to all visitors inside and outside the complex to assist fans.

Parking is available on the campus of Baldwin Wallace University, near the intersection of Beech Street and Bagley Road.

Cleveland Browns Training Camp is in association with Discount Drug Mart. The Orange & Brown Scrimmage is in association with Ohio Department of Health and Giant Eagle.
Browns fans are encouraged to visit www.ClevelandBrowns.com and the Browns Mobile App throughout the year, as well as for a daily training camp resource. The Browns Mobile App will offer fans important updates prior to each session, including weather and additional information.

For more information, Browns fans may also call Browns membership services (440-891-5050). Additional details are available at clevelandbrowns.com or by e-mailing tickets@ClevelandBrowns.com.

Man I wish I was able to go to camp. It was always a lot of fun, back when I could do it.

Back when Amy (I can't remember her last name now) was the contact for the boards, and fan relations, members of the board were treated like kings.

Amy Palcic used to do media relations with the Browns.
She now works – or did recently – for the Texans, actually.

That must be her married name ... her last name when here was Grietzing or sumptin like that ...

She went from here to Pitt to be with her boyfriend .. a Stiler ... no clue what happend after that ..

She was AWESOME ... what a sweetheart ....

U may remember this Pit .. we didn't even know anyone was watching or anyone with the browns came here .... we'd have our fights but always keep it civil .. then someone went off on a profanity laced tirade .. prolly at me .. *L* ... actually thats true it was more than likely me .. but we talked amongst ourselves and even though we didn't think there was any kids or women at that time .. we decided in case there was we should keep the profanity or any other BS off and we abided by it ...

Then someone called me a cancer and they wanted to vote to kick me off cause i was so neagating about the Don and Clark .. as usual no one wanted to listen to me and as usual i was proven right over time ... *L* ...

Anyhow .. they called me a cancer and wanted me off the board ... my response was ... u can't kick me off the board but if u want me to leave i will ... Amy saw that and came in introduced herself and told us that i was allowed to have my opinion and i should not be asked to leave and if i left she would be dissapointed ...

Remember that Pit? .. thats how she introduced herself to the board ...

My little angel ... thumbsup ...

And over the few years she was here ... she proved to be AWESOME baby AWESOME!!!!

Texans' Amy Palcic becomes only female head of PR for an NFL team

Feb 10, 2016
Tania Ganguli
ESPN Staff Writer

HOUSTON -- The Houston Texans now have the NFL's only female director of their team's media relations department.

The team promoted Amy Palcic to senior director of communications. She replaces Kevin Cooper, who left after 14 years with the organization to become the senior director of communications for Houston's Super Bowl Host Committee.

This is Palcic's fourth year with the Texans. She previously spent a decade with the Cleveland Browns and rose to be the Browns' communications director during her time there. She is the first woman to lead the Texans' media relations department.

I remember Diam. It was before there were any refs. It was the Wild West of Browns message boards. lol

I used to go round and round with a poster named West Coast Dawg all the time. I remember when posters wanted us to pick an undersized WR in the draft named Peter Warrick. I called him Lil Petey and drove them nuts. lol

The Bengals ended up drafting him and he was a huge bust.

Good times my friend.

Then there was Coach B ... he was a pompous ass that didn't know football and ended up being a lying ass ...

So ... witch way u were going to vote when they wanted me kicked off the board for being to neagative (realistic .. *LOL*) ..

Coach B, lol.
Even before he was outed as a fraud, I sometimes wondered about him. The way he talked down to people on a message board, he didn't remind me of what I'd consider to be a good coaching personality.

I would never vote to silence anyone. There's been people on every board I've ever posted on that I didn't care for, but I'd never try to silence anyone that way.

Heck we have butted heads a lot but it's obvious we like each other. In one way we're a lot alike. We dish out a lot of crap but we never take it personally when people dish it back at us. Message boards aren't intended for people who are thin skinned. If you are, you'll just walk around all butt hurt most of the time. lmao

Would u care to describe my personality ... *LOL* ..

I called B out from day 1 ... we didn't get along to say the least ... i told him 1,000 times if he was a coach he was a crappy one and i wouldn't let me kid play for him cause he had no clue what he was doing .. *L* ..

My question was a joke .. i know u well enough by now .. just like u know me well enough ..

Were a lot alike in a lot of ways ... one of them is we have our scuffle ... speak are minds and move on and its water under the bridge ... my guess is if we lived near each other and hung out we'd of had more than one fistfight to clear the air and would have headed out for some cocktails after the winner picked the loser of that scrap up ... thumbsup

Improved Ricardo Louis could fill Browns' need at receiver

http://www.espn.com/blog/cleveland-brown...eed-at-receiver

Ricardo Louis is a name to remember as the Cleveland Browns search for offensive impact players, especially at receiver.

Entering his second season, Louis looked, talked and acted like a different player during offseason workouts. To say he was more confident is an understatement.

"It was funny because I went back and looked at our last year's rookie minicamp, the OTAs and the veteran camp, and [he's] a different guy," receivers coach Al Saunders said.

"He has really improved," coach Hue Jackson said.

If Louis can translate that improvement into actual games, he could be a boon to the offense -- and, depending on how preseason goes, a fantasy sleeper.

A year ago, Louis was one of four receivers taken by the Browns in the 2016 draft. Coaches and players privately thought highly of him, but Louis never put it together on the field, finishing with 18 catches. He admitted the challenge of going from Auburn to the NFL was larger than he expected.

"There's a lot of things that you have to be very specific on when it comes to being in the NFL," Louis said. "You have to be detailed with everything you do as far as preparation and taking the next step."

Louis listed almost every element of the position when addressing how he now feels more comfortable -- route running, change of direction, coming off the ball, creating separation, coming out of breaks.

"I have definitely taken a step forward," he said.

Saunders said that Louis takes the most detailed notes of anyone in meetings, and that none of the other receivers prepare "any more diligently off the field and at home than Ricardo."

This from a guy who was quiet and almost reserved a year ago. The pro game seemed too much for Louis at times.

"Now he lines up at the line of scrimmage and hears the play and sees the defense and recognizes the coverage, he goes 100 miles per hour," Saunders said. "He's a talented young man. I'm thrilled he feels really comfortable in what he's doing and am really excited when we get him to the preseason and take that transition and get into real physical football and play the game when things aren't what you expect it to be."

That will be the next step for Louis. Impressing in meetings and offseason practices is a long way from impressing in training camp and preseason games. But the Browns have a gigantic need Louis could fill.

The sole veteran is Kenny Britt, who is coming off his first 1,000-yard season in his eighth year.

Corey Coleman was a first-round pick a year ago but is a bit of an enigma. Coleman missed most of camp with an undisclosed injury. Jackson pointedly said in the offseason it was time for Coleman to grow up and step up, but it didn't happen in offseason work.

The rest of the group is inexperienced and young. If Louis' progress is real he would seem to have as good a shot as anyone at earning playing time.

"We're all competing to get on the field and play," Louis said. "Nobody has a legit spot right now. Nobody's No. 1. Nobody's No. 2. Right now, we're just all competing to see who can do things the best, who can play this position the best."

It would be nice to have at least one of the four receivers step up.
That said, I think that this is a position group that will get addressed heavily next offseason, too.

Anyone know what that draft class looks like for WR?

Ugh... we already "addressed it heavily". Now we already have to do that again?

Yuck... I guess you gotta do what you gotta do.

Come on, Coleman...

One of Coleman, Higgins, Payton, and Louis must pan out. You can't afford to draft 4 WRs (technically 5 with Devalve) and not improve the position.

I wonder.....I remember when we drafted the Wizard of Oz, he was a WR that they wanted to convert to TE. We could try that with Nokufuuuu tongue. Make a WR out of him from a TE.

Would u care to describe my personality ... *LOL* ..

I called B out from day 1 ... we didn't get along to say the least ... i told him 1,000 times if he was a coach he was a crappy one and i wouldn't let me kid play for him cause he had no clue what he was doing .. *L* ..

the thing is he claimed to be really good friends with Charlie Fry. he was from my neck of the woods. i told him a couple times i can call Charlies parents and ask if what you're spunning is true. Hell his parents # was in the county phone book.

The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

Haha, one big difference is I don't take your put-downs as being mean-spirited, most of them are funny even when they are directed MY way lol.

A lot of his 'felt' like was really trying to insult people,.... an elitist windbag. I remember he used to make fun of people with crappy jobs, called them burger-flippers, stuff like that.

Doesn't matter, as it turned out he was a small person... big ego, low self-esteem.

I got a call from my friend inside Berea and they said...

I was here when he was posting, but I missed how y'all busted him out, or I'm forgetting it. Somebody want to fill me in with a short sentence or two?

I remember "west coast" ran out of runway with lies (claims included being invited to the NFL combine).

/I also remember a spin off board (I registered but only posted a handful of times).

//I did think it was best when it was affiliated with the team and linked from the Browns site but mainly because I thought it gave the fans a louder voice.
