So it's okay to endorse physical assault when some far fringe group does it?
I believe in non-violent civil disobedience. This is the first time I've heard of antifa, and they're a bunch of nincompoops. It's the first time you've heard of them... really? How were you able to formulate the opinion that they are a bunch of nincompoops within 3 minutes of fish making that post? This might actually be a good discussion, and something informative for PDX and Portland. Those were the boys in black masks that went around and smashed their city a few times recently.

First don't forget all the dirty things CNN has done, from leaking debate questions to the Clinton camp, to changing Trump's quotes to make him look bad, making up accusations about Russian connections that they had to retract when called out on, to being filmed acknowledging there isn't much to the whole Russia brouhaha and it's mostly about ratings. The Clinton News Network deserves some mocking.
Others might take issue with the President of the United States tweeting something like that. This is something many will differ on. When you really think about it, what is so bad about that tweet? What is the reason for that? I saw it and just started laughing. I'm not sure if it was the video itself (Trump's past appearance on Wrestlemania with a CNN logo edited onto Vince McMahon) or the reaction (whining) it's going to deliver.
Where is your outrage when a major news network acts in such a deplorable manner? Their coverage is just shameful. They are not even remotely fair and it's comical when people act like (or genuinely think?) they are.
The difference is this Haus....I don't watch CNN. I can choose not to as I have that option to click on their site or not to (I don't have cable). I get my news elsewhere. Everybody knows CNN sucks. When I was living in the UK everybody made fun of how terrible the news in America is and, especially Fox. News, in general, in the US is all about embellishment....it isn't investigative. Watch ABC or CBS News at 5:30 and it is appalling. Easily as bad as Fox minus the cat stuck in a tree rescue story. The President, however, isn't a website, nor is he a tv news channel. He is our head of state who represents the people of the country. And, he is showing the rest of the world that he is an immature and unprofessional who has no sense of decency, class or manners. Again, I expect more from my President but, not from a cable news network. Well, I once did from my news but, I gave up long ago when I saw how exploitive and trashy it is. That, unfortunately is America...it's all about the ratings and people what exploitive trash. If it were not about ratings then PBS NewsHour would be America's #1 News Source.

A fair and well-reasoned post. I applaud you. You should post here more often, I may not always agree with you but you always add a lot to the discussion. I do understand not wanting to get caught up in all this political arguing though. One of these days I ought to write up something more detailed about why I don't really mind Trump's banter, even if it is different than what we're accustomed to from previous Presidents or other foreign leaders. I'm not sure I can do it justice right now-- it has been a long day.

I have to laugh to myself as the same people who had no problem with Bill Clinton raping a subordinate, in the White House, the same people who have no problem with the Loretta Lynch/Bill Clinton tarmac meeting, are now so upset with Trump posting a big "up yours" to the national media who have given him the hardest time in national memory since he won the Presidency.
The false accusations, the Fake News, the obvious agenda of taking this President down and the Democrat party's call for impeachment from day one, has our President firing back.
I like it! I would lose all respect if he wasn't fighting back against all those who have insulted him and his family, threatening his life as they act out in hysteria over his hard won victory.
Trump is a fighter, Trump is what you see. Nothing fake, nothing hidden.
I have no doubt he will fight even harder for America, her citizens and the National interests at home and abroad, than he fights for himself and his family.
