We shall see what type of Health Care reform eventually passes but, I wont be surprised if a large percentage of Trump voters aren't affected, disappointed and the most vulnerable of them being horribly impacted and wishing they still had ObamaCare.

But....we shall wait and see.

My concern is that Trump doesn't really have a lot of say on this one. The House and Senate will just give him a Bill and say sign it or not. He has input and can steer, but in the end it will be the Republicans in charge of the largest Welfare program in US history. Not really the folks you want setting up a Welfare programs now is it? Dems do that and Repubs limit their damage.
Too bad the Dems quit on America.

This is why I am leaning towards Repeal only.
Perhaps that will help drag the Dems back to work and get everyone a better Replace.

Locking 13 Republicans up in a room and making a bill doesn't sound like they want the Democrats input to me.

Don't worry, not just bashing you, the democrats do it too.. But this notion of doing things in secret then rolling them out with little to no time for public debate then trying to get them passed before the people realize how badly they are getting screwed has got to stop...

-What you call an informed public has been replaced by leaking every word said, every line written, every discussion had,so the Media can run with each item as bad as they hype the negatives, thus causing constant distraction throughout the entire process.
The meetings would have taken months.

The meetings were completed quickly, without distraction or leaks and the public was informed as the GAO was looking into the ramifications of the Bill.
The Bill was then pulled as it could not get the needed Republican votes.

Democracy in action.

A process the GOP actively participated in when they were not the ones in power.


If you have positive information, put it out there. I've seen all of the negative reports, I've seen very little other than platitudes about the positives... seriously, I have to assume if this was going to reduce costs, increase coverage, improve care that there would be data or reports out there on that.. not seeing it.


Awesome. They should take months. When you are talking about changing healthcare that impacts 320 million people and is a multi- (many times over) billion dollar part of our economy.. then great, I hope it takes months, get it right. Our government, except in times of attack or natural disaster, was never really meant to be swift.. for just this reason. Things this important should be discussed/debated for a long time.


Couldn't get the republican votes? How about just "get the votes"? Democracy is not, win the congress and the WH and then run roughshod over the other party... that is not a good democracy... Hating Obamacare and passing Trumpcare (or GOPcare) just because of the names on them is insanely stupid if you aren't 100% sure what you are supporting.... Sadly, it is what we have become though..

Democracy is about varied opinions and reaching a solution that benefits the greatest number of people in the best possible way.. anything short of that is not a good democracy.

Look at the resistance to stop Gorsuch.
Look at the resistance to stop every cabinet member.
Look at the leaking by our Intelligence agencies.
Look at the absolute collapse of ObamaCare.

Your idea of reality is a very strange one. I guess you forgot about the GOP refusing to even hold hearings an a SCOTUS nominee. Maybe it's time you admit that both parties are just as guilty of the things you spew.

See, American politics was designed to function like a pendulum that swings a little bit one way, when it gets to the edge where folks start getting concerned, it swings back a little the other way... it was never intended to have these wild swings from far left to far right and back again depending on who was in charge at the time.. where a President takes office and immediately tries to undo every single thing the previous President did...

American Politics was designed to move slowly, yes.

It was not designed for one side of the isle to quit.

It was not designed for insiders in the Intelligence Agencies to spy on an upcoming candidate and his people, unmasking those players and leaking the classified info to the Press by the administration in power at the time.

It was not designed to have freedom of the press abused and turned into an opposition party.

What we have today is a Swamp in need of draining.

CNN Producer: Russia Collusion Story 'Mostly Bulls**t', But It's Good For Ratings

Well, for those of you who feel that CNN is shamelessly biased against Republicans, which has only intensified under the Trump White House, Project Veritas’ latest investigation will probably make your blood boil. The investigative group headed by James O’Keefe found that since Trump was inaugurated, Russia has been mentioned 15, 694 times in their coverage of his presidency. So, PV decided to send some of their investigative team members down to Atlanta and speak with CNN’s supervising producer John Bonifield, who was rather candid in saying that the whole Russia collusion story is mostly crap, and that the network pushes it because of ratings.

Concerning the whole collusion story, Bonifield noted that we’re using our spy agencies to influence elections and government abroad, and that you win elections because “you know the game and you play it right.”

“She [Hillary Clinton] didn’t play it right,” he added.

“Then why is CNN constantly like, Russia this, Russia that?” asked the PV reporter.

“Because it’s ratings. Our ratings are incredible right now,” replied Bonifield.

“And the CEO [Jeff Zucker] of CNN said in our internal meeting, he said, good job everybody covering the climate accords, but we’re done with it. Let’s get back to Russia,” he said.

Later in the video, the PV reporter continues on the Russia angle saying “but honesty, you think the whole Russia s**t is just bulls**t?

“Could be bulls**t. I mean it’s mostly [censored] right now. Like, we don’t have any giant proof,” replied Bonifield, who added that we would have known something by now given the leaky nature of the Trump administration.

“And so I think the president is probably right to say, like, look you are witch-hunting me. You have no smoking gun. You have no real proof,” he added.

Also, the video features Bonifield speaking dismissively of ethics in journalism, noting that it’s a business first and foremost.

“But, all the nice cutesy little ethics that use to get talked about in journalism school, you’re just like, that’s adorable. That’s adorable. This is a business, he said.

WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange also claimed on Twitter that CNN may have violated various state and federal laws related to “coercion” and the First Amendment.

The other side quit for a long time, then suddenly, once they were in control and felt like nobody could stop them, then they decided to get stuff done.. prior to that, they vowed to make sure nothing got done.

While the Republicans were in charge of Congress during those years, the government continued to run and the bills got paid. There was a concerted effort to pass legislation but Harry Reed would shelve everything.
The Republicans were limited in what they could do but they were involved, especially in trying to limit Obama's love of the credit card. They managed to hold him to only charging $10 Trillion on the card for our children to pay.

Now that the world is ours again, we fix the damage done by the Dems, get the legislation passed from the pile on Harry's desk, undo all the job killing acts of the Obama administration and begin the process of Making America Great Again!

Yes, get it over. By now we all know that George Bush failed.. He failed miserably to correct the crappy banking mandates that Bill Clinton put on banks to give loans to unqualified people and then trade those loans like commodities, that caused the housing/banking collapse.. Everybody knows that.

In order to help my fellow Republicans with a good healthcare plan, my suggestion would be as follows.

-Offer a fully paid single payer plan where each citizen must pay $1000 per year to be covered.

-The only stipulation is each citizen must follow a Doctor approved, very healthy diet. No illegal drugs, no alcohol, limited meat carbs etc.

-Random hair follicle or blood tests to be sure you are following the diet and rules.

-Fail and you are allowed to repeat the tests. Fail again and you will have your healthcare dropped and will be responsible for your own healthcare.
