Everybody knows that.

And let's not forget his WMD's and let's not forget the war that can't be won (that we are still fighting 13 years later) and let's not forget.....ahh, forget about it. And to think, I voted for him twice.. Geesh. Hell, I didn't even vote for Obama twice...

By the way, go back and look at Clinton again, there was great pressure from Congress to allow banks freedom to run rampant. I'd have to check, but I think at the time, it was a republican controlled congress... Not 100% sure but I think so. Newt Gingrich was like the mouthpiece.

Look at what's happening now,,, Regulations being rolled back on Wall Street,, are we headed for another recession?

Sure seems like Obama's work is much better than you give him credit for, he stopped the crash, turned the economy around (mostly for the rich and Big business), drove down unemployment.

You're real problem seems to be he didn't do enough to UNDO Bush's folly. Now somebody will have to UNDO the crap Trump is doing.

He is working on doing that. But from the way things are looking now, it will be at the cost of 23,000,000 people losing their healthcare.

I don't think epic even describes it. There may not be a word in the English language to describe how incredible that would be for me. I get numb just thinking about it, lol. I'm going to an S-Corp this year from just an LLC sole proprietorship to limit some of my tax liability - I can't even imagine only 15%!

This is why I am leaning toward the idea of repealing first.

This will drop all the onerous mandates that Obamacare requires and clear the way for the Tax Plan.

After that, we replace. Maybe even the Democrats will join in helping the Republicans with the new plan.

You're changing the subject. Everyone said they wanted a businessman to run the country. So instead of electing a conservative Republican, you elected Trump. Trump has openly claimed to be the king of debt on several occasions.

Obama is accountable for the debt he caused during his time in office. The problem is, you didn't elect a president who will make it any better. With only one caveat. The debt wasn't zero when he took office. It's time to admit that under the last few GOP presidents the debt went up too. All you really have is a school yard cry.......

"Oh yeah, well the debt went up more under Obama!"

You don't lock 13 GOP senators in a room if you want the Dems to join in.

You can't involve people who don't want to be involved.
You can't make people discuss when they only want to hate.

So no matter what happens, the Democrats and you will cry about it and it ends up pointless to discuss these matters with you or them.

The rest of us will hope for the best and see what they come up with. Only then will we like it or not.

I always hope for the best. It's my country too.

But when people keep making excuses for bad behavior you can't really have an open and honest discussion with them.

There's a massive difference between refusing to be involved and not supporting a terrible bill.

Dems do want to be involved, but republicans pretty much shunned them from the start like some rebel kid in an Amish community.

And then on top of it, the republicans are wanting to pass a trash bill that kicks 20 million people off of Insurance for no other reason than to give the wealthy a massive tax cut.

So the Dems are supporting the republicans healthcare bill because guess what 40? It ISNT a healthcare bill? It's a tax cut bill that screws over the many for the few. And can directly lead to the death of what? Up to 200k Americans?

So please 40, and anyone else that supports this bill:

Why should Dems support genocide? Screw this bill.

The debt under Obama went up more than ALL Presidents before him COMBINED.

We DID elect a president who's trying to make it better. He got us out of terrible trade deals, a worthless climate accord and trying to get us out of Obamacare.

I keep hearing Trumps bill will cause the death of so many people, millions will lose healthcare blah blah blah. The people under Obamacare are card carrying folks of garbage. It's not healthcare when it will cost on average 20k a year. Premiums and deductibles are not affordable and carriers are leaving the market. I don't get why people don't understand this.

Yes, the banks should have failed, the housing market should have stayed a dumpster fire and the auto industry should have gone belly up.

Then you would have been complaining about that. lmao

I'm a real estate investor. This is my primary income. I understand this market very well. What I lost in 2009 would make the average person jump off a bridge. A truth about any market; when one goes belly up, another one opens up where tremendous profit can be made. I recovered very well in 2010!

Trump has been a mentor of mine since 1989. Read all 12 of his books, been to numerous seminars where he was keynote speaker. I understand this man very well also. Yes, he embellishes, yes he has a foul mouth (never heard a keynote speaker use the f-bomb like him) but he gets the crowd riled up and motivated. His business acumen is genius!

I agree but I place blame on them also. They signed mortgages that should have never been signed. I heard so many of them blame the mortgage companies and I would tell them; but you accepted it. All you had to say was No Thank you!

All the bad deals I made were my fault, nobody elses.

I believe the banks failing and auto companies going bankrupt would have been better off for the country in the long run. What we have now are two of the major business entities in this country thinking that they can do whatever the hell they want because their lackies in the government will bail them out. We would have had a recession, people would have struggled and then they would have tightened their bootstraps and climbed out of the mess leaner and more efficient. And we'd be a few trillion less in debt.

I believe you are underestimating things. We went through a terrible recession WITH a bailout. Most financial experts I've spoken to feel it would have been a depression much like the 30's.

I also believe that the disagreement over the extent of a depression/recession is why so many disagree about what should or should have not been done. The people I have spoken to said that any one of these economic conditions could have caused a recession, that when you have a combination of the housing market, the banks and the auto industry simultaneously, they have no doubt it would have led to a full blown depression.

I didn't say anything about electing a businessman. That's what some Trump voters said they wanted. I simply said a conservative.

Exactly! Good debt vs bad debt. Good debt is the house you purchase because it goes up in value (or should).

Bad debt is financing a new vehicle where it depreciates as soon as you drive it off the lot.
