Annoyances During Browns Games

If I'm at the game, one of the things that really annoys me is a certain type of Browns' fan. He (she) is the type that has to exclaim loudly, to everyone within earshot, what an idiot the coach is when they run the ball on 2nd and long ... on the opening drive. Then there's the drunk guy yelling F-bombs when there's another guy right in front of him with a 7 year old son or daughter. I hate that. It makes me want to knock his teeth out, and I am not a violent guy.

At home, or elsewhere, when its on TV, I hate the announcers, the endless commercial breaks, the constant pimping of inane network shows, and the way the camera always tries to find the freaks in the stands - the mask wearers, the face painters, and the fat guys with their shirts off in 12 degree weather. I also hate pink month, not because I don't support breast cancer awareness and research, but because they always have to be shoving it down my throat when I just want a couple hours away from the cares of the world.

You make two great points that I forgot ... thanks Dave

1. "Pink" month is over saturated now. It's turned into an attention/money grab by the NFL and its brands (jersey sales, memorabilia, etc)

2. The CONSTANT promotions of the same stupid TV shows on the network (especially CBS). I think I've seen more "Survivor" promos than anyone would want to count.

You're watching a Browns game trying to escape care and worry?

What a dreamer! grin

WE DON'T NEED A QB BEFORE WE GET A LINE THAT CAN PROTECT HIM

That "It's 3rd Down" deal gets a little old.

I think it gets old because of the frequency with which it's heard. That tends to happen with all the 80-yard 'drives for 6' that the Browns give up.

Daaaang... that's some super-specific selective breeding.

To think that there are thousands of pink, white and brown striped dogs out there boggles the mind.

We truly live in a miraculous world.

Does looking at the scoreboard count?

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Okay, this is technically after a Browns game but just about every other time we'd lose I'd go down the street to my dad's house and he'd say, "I really thought we were gonna win that one."

After I told him several times, "You say that just about every other week, you should know better than that now!" he finally stopped.

(This coming season is still pending on that last part though.)

Brown's homers are cool. Ohio State homers suck.

You are finally catching on..

It's pretty simple really.. nobody likes homers of teams that are perennially really good. It's just a fact. Nobody likes hearing Duke fans whine about not getting that one call that one time... nobody likes hearing Patriots fans whine about anything... and nobody likes hearing Buckeye fans whine about not getting any respect when they are almost always in the top 5... similarly, nobody likes hearing them brag about how good they are...

I absolutely WISH people thought Browns homers sucked.. because that would mean we were:
1. Relevant enough for anybody to care.
2. Good enough that people hated hearing us brag
3. Successful enough that nobody wanted to hear about that one thing that didn't go our way..

It would be freaking awesome.

Wish we could be known as something unbearable, like "sore winners", hard to take for winning too much. Had this "passion bypass" pretty much since The Return.

Ready to get reacquainted again. Soon. Win a few, eh? Make me care more again.
