nor should i. so many things happening in Africa and south America, yet nobody ever wants to talk about those things.

so if we're good with ignoring all of that as a WHOLE, not just as an individual DC, then i could care less what they do in NK.

I'm not good with any of it. I am aware of some of the atrocities going on in Africa and other parts of the world. I'd be hard pressed to say I'm up to speed on all of it because sadly, there is A LOT OF IT, but I'm aware of some.. and it's all wrong.

So if you want to post about the atrocities in South Sudan or DRC or Yemen.. yea, I care about those too.. there isn't a heck of a lot I can do about it.. but they make me sick to my stomach to know what people in other parts of the world are living through on a daily basis.

Africans and South Americans aren't trying to build Nukes to hit our mainland.

I'm gonna lean towards swish in this argument. NK already has a nuke, they just can't get it here yet.

BUT-A lot of people are being slaughtered in Africa by this and that war lord and if we wanted to we could remove 'this' and 'that', and save a lot of lives in the process.

The hard part is that these warlords soldiers switch loyalties as fast as the people we're fighting now.

The world was much simpler when the drawn line was much clearer.

I'm white and not a racist. I don't like ANY crime against humanity like what's happening in Africa. I don't like the wars in the middle east. I don't want a war with NK. I don't support bombing non-whites because they are not white...

But I'm also a realists. I know we have to prioritize threats. I know we can't police the world or solve all of it's issues. I know sometimes war is necessary to protect the US.

I'm also in the camp that doesn't care about not taking action in Africa. We have people of color killing each other in the US, we have cops killing people of color in the US, we have enough of our own race based problems to solve right here. If we don't give a damn about our own, why should we give a damn about the others?

Additionally we have plenty of non-race based problems to solve at home too. I'm a firm believer in putting our own house in order first. Personally other than protecting ourselves and the allies that make us strong, I don't want to see any foreign military action.

I don't want to pile on, but that is one thing I find disturbing...the whole "You Conservatives" "You white people", etc. I don't really understand the need to put everyone in some sort of a classified box.

I certainly don't do that with people of other races. While I don't agree with Swish about everything he posts, I always considered him a pretty good kid. And yes, since my daughter is much older than he is, I consider everyone his age a kid to some degree. But if he feels the need to lump me in with "all white people", he is no better than the people he claims he despises.

And I agree with you. I know quite a few people on here that vote Republican all the time. However, some of them break down each issue on an individual basis. They are free thinkers and consider the issue more than the party.

There are less than a handful that I feel have zero desire to do that. And the same goes with Democrats on this board. There are a lot of people willing to have an honest and open discussion concerning issues. There are some who simply refuse to. They spew party lines with no desire to take things any further.

In all honesty I couldn't vote for Trump or Hillary. To me my vote is a valuable thing. At some point a candidate has to meet a certain standard to be deserving of my vote. I didn't deem either candidate worthy. And to this point, the evidence points in the direction that I was right IMO

I was talking about Swish in that post. Those are two examples of things he's said. I haven't seen him say something along the lines of "You Hispanics" or "You Muslims" or else I would have mentioned those as well.
